Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) and Head and Neck Surgery at Jefferson, Philadelphia PA

My PCP referred me to their own office for some hearing testing within the Jefferson system. Someone from this office called me to confirm my insurance and reassured me that my bill wouldn’t be over $1000 as I had never done the testing before. I received the bill after the “hearing test” which is actually 3 tests and it cost over $2000. Typically I would look into testing beforehand but they called before I got the chance and I trusted them thinking it was nice they reached out. So not only did they tell me the wrong information, they made the step to go out of their way and provide misinformation. Find another provider and if you have to go Jefferson, do your homework because this office clearly doesn’t have the patients interests in mind! I fought this claim and they essentially said they there’s nothing they can do. Not going to Jefferson for anymore services after this experience.

I picked up a sinus infection last week and have a doc at Jeff Oto. Never had a problem until now. The people who answer the phone told me I couldn't come in. They did this twice.

I had an emergency, no appointment. Walked in off the street. I was seen and treated within the hour. Screening and admission smooth, 20 minutes. I was even advised of an expensive unnecessary test. Sympathetic and cooperative doctor with a full staff, nurse and medical scribe. Thorough examination.

I have been there quite frequently years ago. Just returned after 10 years and had a wonderful experience and description of our plans for my issues.
