P & J Auto Body, Inc., Bala Cynwyd PA

I recently had body work done on two cars at this family owned and operated auto body business  (I sideswiped my daughter's BRAND NEW car backing out of my garage - was not funny at the time).   Every step in the process was perfect.   Appointments for estimates were fast and performed quickly with a written proposal, they interacted with insurance company, set up a work day quickly, made the date, work completed on both cars ahead of schedule and the job was perfect in both instances.   We communicated exclusively with Jamie who I would call the "Operations  Manager".   Jamie is smart, knowledgeable, easy to work with and knows everything. If you have ever been in an auto body repair shop before you will understand this following statement as an indicator of how this business operates - when you walk into the office/waiting room area you will be stunned by the fact that it is spotless!   These people take pride in their business and the work they do.   You will appreciate that when they take care of your car.

Way too expensive to take my car from a few blocks away to here and had a guard on me like I was going to run away (without my car) and not pay them. I was upset but never said I wouldn’t or couldn’t pay, nor was I yelling or rude. The women in charge at the time could work on the customer service a bit. Really uncomfortable experience. 2 stars because the driver was very nice.

These are some of the most honest and hard-working people that you’ll come across… I always feel lucky to have them on my side when needed! Honestly, the best in the business!

P&J towed my car from an accident. They said it was totaled and it is worth nothing. They offered to take care of disposing of it. I ask them for details and they gave none. I ended up having a company pick it up for almost $2000. This company and its employees (office staff and owner) should not be trusted.

We love P&J. We've been going to them for years, and we couldn't be happier. They are kind, honest, responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Any problems we've had with our cars, they've solved it at a fair price and in record time.
I'd actually prefer not to leave a review so they don't get too busy.but they deserve all the best.

I just got my vehicle back from P & J and they did an absolutely amazing job. My car looks brand new, the paint was perfectly matched and all the metalwork was seamless. They always responded when I would ask for an update, and would go to bat with the insurance company if there was any issue. It is a small family owned and operated shop that took great care of me and my vehicle, definitely would recommend.

P&J Auto definitely go above and beyond for their customers. They help work with a difficult insurance company, and with the global supply chain problems they reached out to find a number of avenues to get parts. If you have a need for auto repairs I would recommend them to anyone!

This was the first time I went to P&J Auto n I will go back there again n again. Ray n Sam were extremely PROFESSIONAL, knowledgeable, n they do QUALITY WORK! When I drove off from getting my car serviced, I could tell a huge difference in how my car ran, n I liked that n knew then I would be coming back. Great Job Ray n Sam! Pat and his daughter, Jamie, were a delight work with. I took photographs of the automobile damage as directed by my insurance company and submitted it to them. Their appraisal would reimburse me only half, $1,500. Pat disputed the claim and contacted the insurance company. He was successful in getting them to pay in full.

The two damaged driver side doors have been replaced and the car looks like new.

I absolutely love this family owned business. I had a small accident to my Ford Raptor that had custom work performed before the accident. I’m extremely ocd about everything I own. Not only was the repair work perfect and totally unnoticeable to my ocd eye, they were great to deal with. Definitely will be a customer for life for not only collision work, but service as well. As a business owner I prefer to deal with family owned businesses and these guys made me feel like family. Great job P&j!

I have needed to use P & J twice in the last 6 months. I would not hesitate for a second to use this family run business. They are professional and their work is EXCEPTIONAL! The pricing is fair and their turn around time is reasonable. LOOK NO FURTHER!

A great family owned business who treats their customers like one of their own. The staff is super professional and doesn't give you the run around or try to sell you on unnecessary "fixes. " Highly recommend P&J Auto.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about P&J! They offer professional and timely service, when I needed it the most. My car had broken down on the side of the road and P&J towing services arrived on scene almost immediately. Everyone was professional, kind and courteous and they were able to get me back up and running at a fair price the next day. Highly recommend— Will continue to come here for all my car needs!

Recently, my car overheated and I was forced off the highway and found the closest place to stop. I was already familiar with the problem I was having and asked for a mechanic to help me look at my car that I had already open and ready. The body shop guy I asked was nice enough to go inside to find the mechanic.
After a few minutes I was met with a disgruntled man that immediately told me he didn't have time to help me, without hearing my problem. Despite this, he still walked out to my car, complaining the entire time. Without fully listening to me, he told me he couldn't help and I told him to go work on the other cars since he didn't have time for me. Eventually a family member picked me up and I was able to leave.
The following day someone called me to update me and told me the issue at large, to which I explained to them that this makes sense as I was already attempting to fix the problem by changing one part of that larger issue. The man cut me off calling me "honey" and repeated exactly what he had told me moments ago. I explained to him I did understand and didn't bother saying I was trying to converse.
I was then charged $65 for them to run their diagnostic computer all to which they said my fuse box was completely dead, but the car still ran. I was also told the replacement part would be $700 (without labor), which for a 2002 Honda Civic, that part is about ~$100 to $300, as I've already found that replacement.
The ONLY reason I am giving this place 2 stars is:
1) they were quick to get back to me
2) the woman helping me was EXTREMELY sweet, patient, and understanding

After a roofing company dropped equipment off the roof leaving my car damaged, I set up an appointment with P&J. I got a quote quickly and they were able to work around my schedule and needs. The work they did was fast and flawless! I was grateful for the help of the lady in the office, Jaime, who became the middle man between me and the owner of the company that caused the damaged. She made arrangements for payment to ensure he kept his word to pay for the damage. She is a doll! A week later I ended up getting a slow leak in one of my tires and again they saved the day. They allowed me to bring it in last minute when the time was best for me - fixed it quickly and sent me on my way. This is an A+ company that does excellent work. Dealerships are intimidating but P&J made me feel like a long time customer, like family. I will be back with future needs!
