P. J. Clarke’s At The Curtis reviews
18Nice upbeat atmosphere, music in the background but we were still able to hold conversations and hear each other speak. Food was good we tried a variety of burgers, chicken pot pie, fish and chips and chili too! Love the thin shoestring fries! The espresso Martini was so smooth!
I had lunch here as part of a private event. What we were served is not on their online menus. The food and service were top notch. Would definitely return!
I really love this place second time to have dinner there. Oysters allways fresh and tasty. The staff is amazing and welcoming, after my exam in prometric I went there to have my dinner. The songs, the atmosphere is beautiful. And they bring me this delicious browni with ice cream as congratulations when they know I passed my test, aren't they amazing! To be caring and part of making someone's day better! Yes they are!
Thank you guys
The staff was really friendly and professional. The food was tasty and I really loved their dessert options. There are only four or five options (plus ice cream), but they span a broad pallet. The music is great and at a comfortable volume so you don't have to yell at the person sitting next to you. Definitely add it to your list
First time here. Service was slow
In the beginning; however, it was due to a staff shortage which is ubiquitous in the industry at the moment. Overall the service was really good. Food tasted really good. The espresso martini was a great treat to end the dinner. Had the cheesesteak egg roll and the Saturday’s special of the crab cakes. Would recommend the egg rolls and will come back to taste the burgers.
Great atmosphere. The entire staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. Fun drink menu.
Wish this restaurant was better. When you order a burger and get a side salad instead of fries they charge $6. Outrageous. Caesar salad was soggy and disgusting. There is so much turnover with the servers…no body knows what they are doing. No wonder it is always empty.
We had a great time. Excellent food, drinks and service. We'll be back. And I highly recommend it. (for those that love seafood, my husband really enjoyed the oysters.)
Neat atmosphere and the service and staff were amazing. Heather made sure we were taken care of and was a pleasure to talk to. Went for drinks and appetizers - no complaints!
Heather and Patrick were absolutely amazing! Not only did they allow my ESA inside but they were very attentive to my dietary restrictions.
I will return! The food was outstanding. Amazing burger!
The Curtis building, where this restaurant is located, is absolutely stunning. Do yourself a favor and gaze into the dream garden. Oh right, back to PJ Clarke's review. Very nice place to bring clients or dates. Feels like it should be more expensive than it is. Very good food, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the bun on the burger I had was a little dainty. It seemed to melt away somehow. The burger itself was amazing though, so I forgot quickly about the bun. I'll definitely be back to try some other stuff
I've only been at the bar but I love the bar service. Acknowledge you when you sit down. They make great drinks. The atmosphere has an old classic style.
Beautiful place. Holiday decorations are fabulous. We had great food so much to eat we could barely split a dessert. Highly recommend
This place is first " Historic" within itself, every I know lived in Philadelphia all their lives and has never been to P. J Clarke. Yes, it's very popular in my knowledge of this establishment. It needs more communication with dine-in and people should look at their waiters [*Female and Male] you probably know them but do not know you, in all aspects. The food is fast and well put together. No it's no Friday's, but if they sing "Happy Birthday" this is the same as TGIFridays
Lovely place I highly recommend. Cocktails were on point thanks to our lovely bartender Robyn. Will definitely be coming back
I enjoyed P. J. Clarkes restaurant at the Curtis for my birthday back in April 2022. I had just started a new job that week at 6th and market and didn't really have plans. So my husband came to take me to lunch and we walked around a few blocks and stumbled upon P. J. Clarkes. We ate outside, I loved the atmosphere and the customer service was top-notch. I have dietary restrictions, gluten free, dairy free, and they were able to accommodate that so that I could enjoy a meal. The server (I wish I remembered his name) was gracious and extremely welcoming as was the general manager of that day. Highly recommended.
Our party of 4 enjoyed our meal as well as the cozy pub setting in the Curtis building. We were greeted warmly by the host. Our server was attentive: he gave us a heads up that the chicken pot pie we ordered takes about 20 minutes. We fortified ourselves with a tasty cheesesteak appetizer. Their french fries were a highlight, and they gave a large portion with my chicken sandwich.
Accidently caught the happy hour there. Had a great time with my friends. Service was stellar and so were the drinks.
