This place is absolutely amazing. The process is quick to register and get your tube/canoe/raft. The shuttle drivers are incredibly informative and helpful. There is a small cafe and a gift store right on the same property as well. The tubing trip I took was an absolute blast. I did the full 4 miles and it was worth it! Great day on the river!

Awesome experience! Everyone was very helpful, from the easy check in, to the shuttle driver, and the guys that get your equipment at the end of the run. The water was low, about 2.5 feet, but as long as you avoid the rocks sticking out you won't have any problems. Beautiful river and scenery! I highly recommend Pale Whale Canoe & Kayaks!

We had a great experience renting kayaks here to paddle the Clarion River. The process of renting the kayaks was quick and easy. The four mile paddle trip took about 1.5 hours.

It's so fun! Tubing is really fun! That's all I can say it was so fun! But I do think it would be better if you go at a time where the water is higher so you dont hit any rocks on the bottom of the tube.

A lot of fun! We went tubing down the river. I would suggest rope if you want to stay together. Also check the depth of the river. If shallow, you have to get off more often to unearth yourself. Next time I alone will use a twin tube.then theres room to lie down and room for a cooler! Water, of course

Adorable little shop! My boyfriend, my puppy and I all did the 4 mile trip. We used our own canoe, but you can rent a canoe, kayak, or tube. You leave your car there then a van drives you and your boat down the road and you can float down Clarion river till you reach your car.

Beautiful river. We had a perfect weather day, and the water level was 3.8 ft (their marker) and swift and clean. Pale Whale is outstanding in organization, great equipment, and they do the heavy lifting. We will return!

Great staff, easy to rent, they have vans that take you up the river to the boat launch point. They also have a little ice cream/food place on site that has great ice cream and decent food after you boat down the river for a few hours.

This is your standard rental place for canoes, tubes, and the like. Great and efficient service getting you on the river, they definitely have their method down! They’re also amazing when it comes to customer service. I forgot my ID (required to leave to rent a cooler) and when I called the next day to make sure it was still there, the lady who answered graciously offered to mail it back to me since I had no way of getting back to Pale Whale. Overall, an amazing experience with a great company:)

Poor customer service. Front desk was very rude when we called in for info. Won't be using them.

Everyone was super friendly and they were helpful when my friends lost a phone and their car key in the river. The only thing that really affected our kayak trip was the water level being low and we didn't know what parts were deep enough for us to go through. We would definitely do the trip again, though.

A family tradition of ours year after year. It's our favorite place to grab ice cream. We love the atmosphere and the staff is always welcoming and very friendly!

Expensive but fun. The lady at the checkout wasn't overly friendly, but the rest of the staff were great.

Courteous and positive business that I will use again. Very convenient having a eatery right next door as kayaking will burn some energy! Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been going to Cook Forest for many years. We always take a 4-mile canoe trip with Pale Whale. We've been bringing our son along too! They run a well-oiled machine! No long waits. No confusion. Friendly people. Reasonable price.

Very unsatisfied with this place. My family & myself went here & rented a conoue for a 4 hr trip. As soon as we got out into the river, it had started storming heavily, we were litterally out on the river for 5 minutes, we were told by a staff member that it was not going to rain & that we would be okay to go out on our trip, & so we did, & so they took us out then it started, lightning, thundering & raining, after we JUST got in the water. So they came & got us, so we paid, they accepted our money, we got into the river just to get back out minutes later, & the thing that is really messed up is that once we got back out the river, & went into the office to get our keys we had noticed that the office staff had the weather radar up on their computer so they accepted our money while knowing it was going to storm & that we were going to have to get out as soon as we got in, they also closed the office right when we got back, all they had to do was day we're sorry but we don't want you wasting your money for today just to have to get right back out we hope you can come back another time, but they did not do that. They had also tried to sell us the big river raft for $120 dollars while knowing it was going to storm. That's the biggest part that upset me that the weather radar was up on the screen, like they knew, like just be honest with me, don't tell my family it isn't going to rain and that we will get our whole trips worth or atleast almost all of it. We got 5 minutes out of a 4 hour conoue trip! Waste of money.

Well let me tell you how horrible my family's experience was at this establishment! I rented a canoe for the 4 mile trip, it started to rain on our way there.i thought ok we get a little wet right? WRONG! We just got to the river and started our trip (My son, niece and myself). Well we were maybe 5 mins into our trip and it started to storm really bad.remembering as we were told by a staff member before we left.you should be alright its probably only going to sprinkle. I don't think it's supposed to storm, As well as the office lady never mentioning it either. Well it stormed bad! The van drivers decided to stop and pick us up on a steep rocky hillside that we could barely walk up, but we made it with their help. We made it back to the office i went in to get my keys and thinking that they would either give us a pass for another day or our money back.but no they did not even try to make it right! The woman that gave us permission knowing it was going to storm wouldn't give us anything back or try to make it right! She said Im sorry but we don't give refunds. AND the Worst thing about this whole thing WAS.when we were talking to this lady when we returned. My son and I both saw she had an active weather radar on her computer. She knew it was going to storm and never said a word! We won't be back ever! Or any of my family members. And that's so sad because our entire family has been going there for many many years!

Excellent staff here. We stayed at cabin 15 which was more than enough for our family of eight.

Great place for tubing and canoes. Staff aren't rude, but could be a little more friendly. Tubes are in good condition and they had trips leaving regularly. We did our 4 mile trip in just over 2 hours. Individual results may vary. Do not forget sunscreen and enjoy yourself!
