Paradise Jamaican Cuisine reviews
15I went 3 days in a row … and I might go for lunch lol it was good I give them a 5 star.maybe the best food I taste.
Second time here. Enjoyed the first a little better. As I stated in my previous review, the oxtail were sliced thin, but meaty. The second time, I think I counted 2-3 larger pieces and the rest look like the tip of the tail! Very disappointing. Of course the ridiculously large portion of rice and beans and vegetable (cabbage) made up for it. The plantain were a little dry. But come on y'all- I'm running out of Jamaican spots that I'm pleased with.
Me and my husband went we had oxtail and plantains was so delicious perfectly cooked and seasoned. He had jerk yellow rice potato salad he was stuffed. Portions were perfect. We definitely go again does not disappoint.
I had a taste for Jamaican food and Paradise did not disappoint. I had the escovitch fish, cabbage and sweet plantains. The fish was crispy and well seasoned, the veggies were crisp and spicy. The plantains were well done and the cabbage was delicious. I couldn't leave without a piece of coco bread and it was piping hot and sweet perfection My only disappointment was that there no tables for seating just two.small counters. I will definitely be back.
The girl in the front who take the orders she is so friendly human, no attitude. She is just right to be at reception. Perfect rice peas well cooked.
Im normally a regular but yesterday the jerk chicken was a platter full of bones and over cooked to were it was dry. I wish i would check my platter before i left. The mac cheese was excellent the rice was dry and the chicken was so so disappointing
I got the oxtails platters Mac and cheese wasn’t good potato salad wasn’t good either tasted like cold mashed potatoes with a lot of pepper for the price the oxtails could be way better
I ordered oxtails large with roti and collard greens. The portion was good. The oxtails were cooked well they were very soft, but they were very salty. The collar greens were good. Everything was just ok. Not worth the price though it felt like a waste of well cooked oxtail because it was so salty. Not what I was expecting. I don’t like leaving poor reviews but I felt like I had to because it’s very pricey and things are very expensive nowadays to spend over $20 for a meal that is not seasoned properly. Wouldn’t order again.
I love the Ackee and Saltfish. It's made fresh when you order and available everyday.
Beef Pattie’s were delicious I got the jerk chicken platter with rice and peas and side of plantains. Chicken fell right off the bone, the rice and peas were ok it was dry.
Was really looking forward to try this place, but the person on under phone was so rude and ignorant that I just hung up, she didn't even have the time to day to hold the phone to get mouth or talk clearly, then was annoyed when I asked what the sides were. I'm sure the food is great, but whoever answers the phone seems to have better things to do then take an order
This Jamaican restaurant is the absolute best we had the best jerk dinner's ever And the beef and chicken patties were out of this World!
The oxtails were tasteless. The rice was so mushy it was inedible. There was a hair on my bread. Will not order from this place again.
The Oxtail was great! As always, not to mention the JERK PORK, JERK CHICKEN, CURRY SHRIMP, JERK SALMON… everything is just delicious! The customer service is great! Even when some customers or being rude & don’t have patience! Most go!
UPDATED REVIEW:
Unfortunately, the food has gone downhill tremendously. Inconsistency in texture of chicken. The rice can be mush, too hard, or burnt. The chicken is chewy. Sometimes too spicy, sometimes no spice at all. It’s disappointing but I no longer bother with this location. Hopefully, they get it together.
Yes to some cultural food in this area! The food is amazing! You won’t be disappointed.
