DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

My family and I are currently renting a two-bedroom from the Park Heights. When we moved in two months ago, we noticed almost immediately that something smelled off. Thankfully I trusted my instinct and checked our stove/oven (powered by gas), and found that the pilot light was not lit. When we realized the seriousness of the issue, we called upon maintenance to come to our place and fix the pilot light. First, let me state that maintenance DID NOT check the pilot light - the issue that we explained was the reason for the call. A crew member came up, turned on our left burner on the stove, and left the apartment. I had to actually chase after him to ask if the problem was solved - which it wasn’t because he never bothered to check. Being that there was a GAS LEAK in our apartment, we acted urgently and were able to fix the issue ourselves (after an hour of work and after pulling apart the ENTIRE oven/stove). Again, at no point did management (Tiffany and Stephanie) attempt to solve the issue or make sure we were safe.

Issues have only begun to escalate since this first incident. About two weeks ago, there was ANOTHER false fire alarm in the building at six in the morning. When my family and I made it down to the front desk, staff there responded to our concern over the FIRE ALARM by stating, “it happens all the time. ” When questioned regarding their infuriating response, staff further explained that we should “get on with our day” and “let this go. ” The Fire Dept.of Philadelphia has already been called to this location (January 2022) in regards to fire safety, and with our recent encounter with staff, I can see why they were called.

For those looking for a safe place to rest your head at night, I DO NOT RECOMMEND PARK HEIGHTS. When a neighbor began harassing my family (standing outside our door.just starring, flipping off our door, yelling, etc.), Tiffany and Stephanie did absolutely nothing to protect us from this hostility. In fact, the pair both went on vacation during this escalation and refused to answer any emails. In the end, due to the increased hostility (to the point where our neighbor began just WAITING outside our door), outside agencies were contacted and it was only at this point that the issue began to de-escalate! Unfortunately, given the managements relaxed nature regarding this serious issue, I do not doubt that our neighbor will eventually begin his harassment again.

Furthermore, our apartment is still facing issues (that management and maintenance are FULLY aware of from our end) regarding electricity (which at one point was addressed but was obviously not fixed as we still face power outages), water (constant plumbing issues - including being without hot water), heating issues (they run the temperature for the entire building and keep it low so that residents have to utilize space heaters), and ventilation issues (vents do not work/covered in filth).

BY ALL MEANS, if you wish to jeopardize your paycheck, health and SAFETY, then the Park Heights is the perfect place for you!

Very unprofessional. Offered me a job and then took it back within a week. Dodged my calls and didn’t even have the decency to tell me that the position was revoked, I had to constantly call and finally got a answer.

Loved it here! Really did no feeling like having your own cozy apartment to come home to unwind but before you get there you are greeted with a refreshing clean scent in the foyer haha, I had a slight issue though before I moved out the heater started leaking about a month or so prior to me moving so I wasn’t occupying the unit due to me finding a new job in NewYork. So when it came time to get ready to pack my apartment up I discovered a mildew/moldy scent when I entered the apartment and i usually have smell goods in the apartment turns out my carpet in the master bedroom was drenched in water from the heater. And the mold smell was my bedroom set rotting away and growing mold from the water it had absorbed, I was very very upset because my furniture cost well over $2,500 from Ashley’s and it had only been used for one year I had also cancelled my renters insurance prior to me moving maybe a month or so. (which was not a wise thing todo) Insurance was not trying todo a claim. And I took pictures and requested it Stephanie would be open to either a refund of my security deposit (I already asked to be applied to last month rent) or if she can refund me a partial refund and in which they were able to give me partial refund. I was grateful that it was even considered and Stephanie was so great to me throughout my stay and I miss living in Philadelphia already.

Great place to live, especially the renovated ones are super good and the rent is also reasonable. Maintenance service is exceptional. I did not face any issues during my 2 years of stay.

I love Park Heights Apartments. The level of professionalism you’ll experience is superb. Stephanie (management) is very attentive to the building operations on a daily bases. Moreover, the staff from the girls in the front desk to maintenance are very helpful with any questions you may have and very punctual from maintenance. They will fix anything that may break in a timely fashion and kind. Again, my experience at Park Heights ensured me that I made the right decision in living here. I absolutely love it here. Lastly it’s very quite and no nonsense of any sort just how I like it.

The prices are good but not worth it for what you’re paying for- low grade apartments with terrible management and careless staff to go with it. If you want a nice, peaceful living experience please consider another apartment building. I had a very stressful and poor experience with them during the duration of my stay there- nasty front desk workers and NO accountability from management
