Parkway Corner Deli Philadelphia reviews
19Food is always on point! However, because of COVID-19, I suggest the Deli distributes covered eating utensils. Other than that, this place is a favorite go to!
OMG! This place's fried chicken is AMAZING. I've never had chicken tastes like theirs. I just kept eating and eating.
The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make things happen. The prices are somewhat reasonable and the food is prepared to order. I highly recommend you give it a try.
Food isn't the same since they switched management and staff a few months ago. Luckily the beer selection is still solid.
Unfortunately they lost their cooks and had a total changeover in the kitchen about a month ago. Was once a strong recommendation but now it’s difficult to recommend for even the most basic sandwiches. At least it’s a convenient spot to grab beer with a better than average selection for a corner market.
I hope their menu can be adjusted to the skill set of the new kitchen or the old staff comes back.
Need somebody in the kitchen or understand English order never come right always something missing in the sandwich waiting time is forever they don’t know how look like Cesar salad all prepared food and the sandwiches sloppy doesn’t look like great for this neighborhood used to place was the best place in Fairmont I suggest better close the shop
This was my favorite place for a quick bite. They have changed ownership and now nothing is the same. Don’t come here for prepared food.
This once great deli is under new ownership, and the food has become terrible. My usual order of a burger and fries was 100% inedible. The meat was grey and rubbery, the greens wilted. Bummer.
FOOD IS HORRIBLE NOW! Worst food! They changed management and the food is just disgusting all around now needs old management back
I have some feedback for the cooks as I know new management just took over. I watched them cook the food because I was curious how they were going to compare to the last group who was there (who was phenomenal) and lets just say they need some guidance to deliver Philadelphia quality food.
Feedback for cheesesteaks (regular, buffalo, chicken) :
1. Thin chopped meat>chunks
2. Put the cheese on the meat while on the grill - don't put it on the roll first
3. Lettuce needs to be thin not romaine for salads
I won't abandon the deli because it's always been great - just need some tips for the new staff to maintain quality for the community.
We’ve been going to the Parkway for what seems like forever and love it! It’s our go to place. This is sadly no longer true. Ordered a couple of burgers and a sandwich and it was, well, awful. Not what we are use to at all! We inquired - under new ownership. So sad.
Great place and customer service freshly made sandwiches, different, beers From around the world sit in or take out nice location I suggest you go give them a try you'll love it here close to the parkway.
Normally go to this deli because they usually are good for a quick decent lunch but NOT today. Waited 40 minutes for my food that was then given to someone else and when i finally did get my lunch I was given the wrong food. Not sure if they changed owners but they were completely disorganized and I wasn’t impressed with my incorrect order. Will probably NEVER return. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
Love Parkway Corner Deli Philadelphia's. The menu changes constantly (check their Facebook page for latest), but never fails to be interesting. On my last visit I enjoyed the Strawberry Bacon Belly Cheeseburger, which might be the best burger I have ever experienced!
Parkway Corner Deli Philadelphia's Good Eats never disappoints. Oh, and they appear to accept credit cards now!
Bonus Tip: You can place your order while sipping a beer at Lucky 13 next store and they will deliver right to the bar. Philadelphia, PA
Cant come to Philly and not have a genuine philly cheese steak! And the biggest and best deli pickles!
The food is good but the service needs work! My first day there everything went smooth. Nice people, cooks wore gloves to prepare food. Then the next time I went, they treated me terribly. The kitchen ran out of pancake mix and the cashier yelled at me and told me to pick something else. She was very dismissive and rude. Then I just decided to go for a drink. I asked her to ring it up and she wouldn’t because of the card limit. She didn’t care if I was an unsatisfied customer or not. This was a totally different staff than the first. The cooks were even different people. None of them had gloves on nor polite. The food is good but I rather go somewhere else and be served with better customer service with BETTER food.
They have a good beer selection and the sandwiches are pretty tasty, but maybe order ahead of time if you are in a rush. There are some tables to sit down and enjoy your food. They also have a mini market section.
Please hit the like button if this was helpful. Thank You!
I don’t know why anyone would go to Wawa when the Corner Deli is just around the corner. The breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal, they have La Colombe on tap, and they sell beer/seltzer. They also have a little bit of everything in case you also need to pick up pet food/sponges/cold meds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!
Really nice staff, great food. They sometimes have free beer tastings from great breweries like Fat Tire. Awesome beer selection.
