Patient First Primary and Urgent Care - Collegeville reviews
19 I went in with what I thought was a sore throat but apparently wasn't and I was sent to the hospital.
The staff and everyone was courteous and reasonably helpful.
I was told a test would take 15 minutes but I waited 35 minutes.
Otherwise no complaints.
Patient First in Collegeville was wonderful the staff and doctor took the time to answer all our questions. We received great care.
10s across the board for my first time here. Was initially met by Karen, who was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained to me the entire process and expectations to me. Then was taken to get my vitals done by Yashi, very thorough and communicative. Seen by Dr Abboud, who diagnosed my condition, prescribed antibiotic's and discussed post visit instructions.
Highly recommend this Practice
Very bad experience.worse.the lady who is receptionist was very rude.very unprofessional. She just insulted me.
I always go there for any kind of medical emergency. But this is the first time I have experienced it.
Please update your hours on the IBX website. I drove to your office alone and very sick only to find out you were closed.
In and out they have a process that works! Wait in your car too if want to! Staff was kind and helpful.
I spent 6 hour here too get a covid test. I understand that this is hard times. But a rude physician has to be understanding and still act personable to people who have been waiting in their car for 6 hours so they can keep going to their doctors appointments after a clear covid test. I appreciate all the staff. But patients are people with lives as well. I do appreciate the quick test results
Turned the lights off with patients standing at the door at 6: 45 on a Tuesday when you were supposed to be open until 8…
The staff was very professional and friendly. Came in on a busy Sunday, and was seen relatively quickly. You also have the option of waiting in your car for your turn to be seen if you’re concerned about social distancing. Great experience overall.
After several TeleDoc appointments elsewhere, and being unable to get an appointment with my regular GPs, I decided to give Patient First a try. My experience floored me.
I was checked in and able to provide all my insurance and personal info quickly. More importantly, the woman who I first interacted with was very nice. Then I was brought back by a nurse who was OVER THE MOON friendly- something I'm not particularly used to these days. After a few brief questions, we were able to do xrays without me leaving the building or waiting around for exorbitant periods of time. I was in and out in under 90 minutes.
While I realize I may have gotten really lucky with that timing, I'm still pleased with how efficient the entire team was while also being polite, professional and warm.
All in all it is as a good experience. I had to come in and was a tad annoyed with some of the people in the waiting room (leaving the building and not staying in the parking lot, pulling their masks down and talking on the phone, etc) but this has nothing to do with the staff. The staff was great, the facility was very clean and friendly. Would definitely come back to this location and not others.
I went here this week because my roommate had a great experience last week so I thought I would get the same.wasn’t the case. The lady who did my intake was very nice. I understand the wait time was long and that wasn’t the problem, I know people in healthcare are over worked right now, so I understand. Once I was taken to the back, the girl who saw me first was very rude and had no empathy, she also asked me if I wanted a covid test without automatically giving it to me, knowing what my symptoms were, so I thought that was weird. My roommate went and they automatically gave her a test.same symptoms I had.when the doctor came in, he was very short with me and just gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way without asking if I had questions about it and how to take it. I just felt a lack of care overall.
Fatphobic doctors who refuse to respect patient wishes concerning weight during an UNRELATED procedure.
I went to Patient First on Friday morning for a COVID PCR test because I’ve had a cough for two weeks. I had tested negatively twice on rapid tests, but my family doctor wanted to be sure, and Patient First seemed to be the quickest to get into for the test.
They weighed me, I told them I did NOT want to know my weight as I am prone to body dysmorphia, disordered eating, and severe anxiety about my weight. They did the COVID test, and then told me I had to wait to see the provider if I wanted my test results. I had just seen my doctor the day before. I didn’t want to see their provider, but then I felt held hostage. I waited 30 more minutes on the bed. I’m not sure that it’s ethical or legal to withhold medical tests from patients.
I went home and when I looked at the slips of paper in the packet they gave me, they had given
me a slip of paper saying my BMI was high and
to eat less.
I am absolutely disgusted by this after I had told them I didn’t want to know or discuss my weight and that I was forced to see a provider just to get my test results. I am 5’7 and a size 8. I’m perfectly healthy. I don’t know why they thought that this was an okay thing to give to someone who just needed a PCR test and specifically requested not to see or discuss weight. I will never be returning to Patient First.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The Physicians Assistant was rude, and refused to listen to me. At 51 years of age, with a 40 year history of getting sinus infections due to a deviated septum, I know when I have a sinus infection. But no, this woman decided she knew my body better than I did. When I expressed my displeasure on my way out, another staff member had something very rude to say to me. I would never go back to this place, even if they were the last urgent care on earth.
The staff was great, easy to work worth and talk to. The only negative I really have is the wait time was a little long.
Brought my toddler in with a fever and phlegm cough. Registered and chose to wait in car. Was called in 30 minutes later for my license and insurance then back into the car for another hour. Called into a room and saw a nurse. She took his pulse and oxygen and that was it. Asked if I wanted a covid test. I asked what they recommended. Was asked why I came in. Told them again, she said she recommended a PCR. GREAT. Did the pcr then said the doctor would come in to listen to lungs. 20 more minutes the doctor came in, mentioned it was odd to just do a pcr test and asked if I wanted anything else. To be honest I was confused and said no and we left. No listening to his lungs, no checks in his ears, no listening to his heart. My kid was not treated like a patient my kid was given a test and we left. I could’ve gotten a rapid at home. I came to a medical professional to get their opinion and expertise, not just asked what I want. I guess I will spend my afternoon at CHOP urgent care to find out what’s actually wrong and maybe make some suggestions. They have a lot to learn on patient interaction. Two year old coming in and out of the building three times before being seen after waiting for 2+ hours with no diagnosis or hints to anything.
We waited 45 minutes. Then they took us in the room. We waited 30 minutes in the room. I asked how much longer. They said another 1.5 hours, they were busy. That was going to be over 3 hours waiting? I walked out. Back to Tower Health Urgent Care. Urgent care Saw us in 20 minutes. Thank you Urgent Care 11/20/2021
Staff was very nice and caring. Testing and diagnosis was quick. Doctor was concerned and said to go to the ER. Went to the ER and they said something different. My PCP reviewed scans from PF and the ER and it turns out the ER was wrong.
Very much appreciated the next day following up on how I was doing.
