Pat's King of Steaks reviews
20I wanted to try Pat's as I was visiting from out of state. I usually go to Genos and should have gone there because the staff was very rude when I questioned my order. They are in such a rush that the man felt it was okay to be rude and even went to the extent to say he wasn't nice. As business owner who would want someone like this representing their business. It's ashame that having good customer service isn't more of a priority.
Cheesesteaks were great, we went on Saturday to Philly expecting to try John’s Roast Pork, but they were closed for the holidays. Fortunately, Pat’s was delicious and super quick. Wish there was enough room to compare it to Genos. Will come back, when we stop in Philly!
The cheese steak was tasty and filling. It was so fast that when I ordered, by the time my sibling started to order, two sandwiches were finished around 10 seconds
Poor quality and even worse service. Trying giving even a little effort about what you are doing and it would show. Not worth the trip at all.
Not worth the time and gas it took to get there.well if we could have only ordered the bread but I digress
After spending $53 for the "steaks" and another $32 for three french fries and four drinks I felt like my family got robbed. The meat had ZERO flavor and the peppers and onions were just grilled peppers and onions. Not sure what people love about these mediocre sandwiches.
Leaving to go back home "Pittsburgh" But first a stop at Pats for a cheesesteak Can't be in Philly and not stop
Can't remember which is which as we had one at both places.
But if I remember correctly Pat's liberally splashes on a generic cheese wheats at Gino's you can dress it up much better.
Still neither of them are as good as you can find at other less know places.by far.
It's great traveling to Philly just to eat Pat's best Cheesesteak and "Cheese Fries" Lot's of Tradition. Great Cheesesteaks in the heart of Philly.
Totally not worth it. Greasy, cheese not melted. The sandwich was served in a fraction of the second - that means it was prepared before. Pricy.
And the guy at the register was rude.
Pretty good, wish there was more seasoning on the steak. I had the steak with onions and cheese wiz.
If you ask around to the locals where do you find the best philly cheese steak they all say Pats. So obviously this was a must stop for us on our trip through Philly. The line goes quick so make sure you know what you want before it's your turn at the window because they don't like to wait around for you. Also recommend cheese whiz "wit". Cash only.
It was a cool experience to come to the birthplace of the cheesesteak, but the sandwich was pretty average in my opinion.
Was up for the Elton John concert and went for a pre show sandwich. For all the hype, it did not live up to expectations.
You can’t visit Philadelphia and not try one of Pat’s famous cheesesteaks! Totally unhealthy but totally tasty, you can’t miss this Philadelphia favorite and staple! The lines are long but move fast. If you prefer chicken instead of steak get there early because the run out fast. The jury’s our on whose are better — Pat’s or Geno’s but why not try both and you decide.
Tourist trap! Avoid at all costs.steak is dry and not very flavorful.moreover, the bread they use for their rolls is pretty bland.
Wow! Very good cheese steak! Didn't think I would like the cheese whiz on it but tried it and it was great. Went here instead of Geno's because the people we we're with are Pat's fans and I see why after I ate the Philly cheese steak.
Great steak sandwich! Visited on October 9,2018. If your looking for an authentic philly steak sandwich this is the place to go. If you’re picky and want to compare buy 1 here and look across the street and get 1 from Geno’s and do a taste test yourself. Outdoor seating. Parking is limited but we were able to find a spot to park for 20 minutes while we ate.
Coming all the way from Detroit, Michigan. I rather eat a cheesesteak at home. Genos bread was better across the street. BUT Pat's had better tasting steak. All in all it was good. But not as good as I expected
I paid in cash, as it was cash only. When the cashier gave me my change, he openly pulled out a dollar and kept it for himself as a “tip. ” I guess he thought I wouldn’t notice as I was a late night customer. I generally tip anyway, so that was definitely a turn off. Genos cheesesteak was better and service wasn’t as arrogant.
