Pearl S. Buck International reviews
19I love to visit the Pearl Buck house either during the festival of trees or for the guided tour when you learn about her life & work.
Beautiful complex! We only attended a catered event with magnificent food choices & pleasant surroundings with quiet spaces for intimate chats
0fficiated a few weddings on these exquisite grounds. Recently an outdoor wedding. Several indoor and outdoor spaces. Fabulous event coordinator, Rachael. My couples wear all very pleased with everything.
Absolutely worth making the trip out as she was a woman who made children from China feel loved and special. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and does justice to a great lady - Pearl Buck. I learned about this lady when I was about 9 as my grandmother told me about her and her love for these children. You have to read about this lady so you can understand. Look her up, go take the drive.
Closed for Juneteenth! Beautiful grounds. Take the 1st suggested map route to get to site; the 'other' route goes through several narrow, rural roads! Lots of parking.
The guide was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions and conversation. Very educational. The property is beautiful. The tour was great, all through her house and some grounds. Highly recommended
Pearl buck international located in Hilltown Pennsylvania is a true hidden gem of the suburbs. It was the home of pearl buck Known for her book the good earth that won a Nobel and a Pulitzer.this estate was very beautiful.we did an international day festival there. Do you have tours available to walk the old house and the grounds I would suggest you go if you’re in the area
This historical location offers meaningful glimpse into a truly remarkable historical figure. She was ahead of her time and a true crusader driven by the best ideals the founding fathers strove for us to achieve- the pursuit of life liberty and happiness. Highly recommend!
Craft show. Actually made more purchases than expected. Very reasonably priced goods. Very accommodating staff. Fine parking.
3.0 The venue itself was nice but we were compelled to use one caterer. It was ridiculous. Because they didn't have to compete for the job they didn't try hard. The food was sparse. The hors d'oeuvres were shrimpy. The rolls were stale. Portions were small. The vegetable table a disgrace. It took forever to receive the meal. Nobody announced when the service was being done.people were dancing while the food was getting cold on the table because they didn't know the food was on the table. The whole experience was disappointing to us and probably embarrassed the family.
Wonderful guided tour experience of the Pearl S. Buck home. I have lived in Bucks County for a significant part of my life and never visited this gem of history. I loved learning about her life, foundations and writings. The home is a historic treasure. Must see tour. Enjoy.
Well maintained grounds and beautiful stone farmhouse of Nobel Prize winning author Pearl Buck. Great tour guide!
We had an amazing experience. Our docent went far and above to research the background of Pearl.
Pearl S Buck is mostly known for her work on integrating different nationalities in the US. She spent many years in China and her most famous book was, The Good Earth.
What a fantastic place to have a wedding. Rachel and her staff were amazing and great to work with.
My niece got married there on Friday afternoon, waitstaff was very attentive with the food and beverages. Beautiful area for a wedding
Myself and two Sisters were adopted through the efforts of Pearl S. Buck. For us the tour was something very special and meaningful. Pearl Buck was an amazing woman who will always hold a very special place in our lives and hearts.
Absolutely beautiful place! Was driving by and stopped after seeing the signs! So glad I did. Wonderful history! Definitely will be returning!
History in our back yard. Take an afternoon to learn the Pearl Buck story and enjoy the house and grounds.
I have very complex feelings when writing this review. I have been sponsoring a girl by this organization for exactly 5 years. I chose this organization because it has good reputation on the internet. I kept sponsoring even when I was going though financial difficulties. However, I recently started to question their integrity. The sponsored child shared with me some information about one of her family members 4 years ago.however, a few months ago, when the organization write to me about the girls current life, they messed up this important information. I wrote to them and told them they made a mistake, they wrote back and tried to correct it but they still got it wrong. I was so disappointed so I cced the CEO about this issue. The CEO replied to my email, apologized and explained that they are lack of hands, and it is hard to avoid human mistakes. However, earlier today, they sent me another letter updating me with the progress report, they made the same mistake. They make me feel they are just making things up, and they don't believe I actually care about this child, and they do not think I could actually remembered her family situations. This makes me highly doubt their integrity and how they used my money to help the kid.
