Optometrist Pearle Vision reviews
14I already saw another doctor for my eye exam. I came to Pearle Vision to use my prescription for a frame and lens. They have better options and varieties. The lady that attended to me was patient, nice and very knowledgeable of my insurance plan. I will definitely go back there next year.
Very efficient and friendly, which is always what I look for in any doctor. In and out in less than an hour! I would highly recommend Dr. Rohrlick.
I'm a new patient at Pearle Vision i must say im very satisfied. The people working there are very nice, and the doctor was very detailed helped me understand alot more.
Best Optometrist I’ve ever been to! Really thorough in explaining everything and the entire staff is really upbeat and nice.
We made an appointment online. My husband is not able to have his phone at work, so he missed a call from an employee that was trying to find out whether or not we had vision insurance. This employee called again and left a message with a really nasty tone - “Considering you haven’t returned our call I’m going to assume your not coming to the appointment and I’m going to be cancelling it”. She also said “the ball is in your court if you decide to make another appointment” and she “isn’t going to keep harassing him about an appointment”. This appointment was made 5 days ago and was scheduled 5 days from today. There would have been plenty of time for him to call back, but this employee didn’t give the opportunity. We did not reschedule because we wouldn’t want to receive care from an office with such horrible customer service. I did call to leave a complaint, and the customer service representative I spoke with was very kind and helpful.
Exceedingly frustrating to work with and that really is just for the appointment. We finally gave up and booked somewhere else.
I found this place through my insurance's website. I booked an appointment online, which was several weeks into the future. Which was way too long as to be reasonable. Then I called the office and asked if they do walk-ins and was told no. Which is odd since it is in the mall. Frankly, I am not sure if I believe that they do not. Was offered a "sudden" earlier appointment- early by several weeks. Only to receive a call indicating that the doctor has decided to take that day off.
Now I am back to square one, with an appointment offered many weeks out again.
Ah no thanks... I have excellent insurance through VSP and I do not see a reason to chase someone to actually do their job. Off to Weaver... Where I find I can get an appointment very easily.
In summary, just walk on by. Go somewhere else...
I was greeted by great service and had an informative and thorough exam. The doctor was extremely patient and kind, and the receptionist was polite. I will definitely be back for my yearly exams.
This store was difficult to work with. My prescription never felt right and they just were not willing to do anything about it. I went back several times but my problem was never solved.
Dr. Rohrlick was extremely thorough and personable. I felt nothing but confidence in her ability to examine my eyes and answer my questions. Choosing and ordering glasses at this Pearle Vision store was also a very smooth and positive experience.
Dr. Rohrlick, the receptionist, the people up front are all kind and helpful. Helping me with my contact lense price and prescribed sunglasses was Bill, who is especially friendly, happy to assist and knowledgeable.
The Dr is horrible! Took my son for his first eye doctors appointment and they forced him to have the pressure test done. Not just once per eye but 3 times! Understandable that the pressure test is needed BUT there is a sign explaining what the pressure test was for, CONTACTS! My son is 4 who in their right mind would be putting contacts in a 4 year olds eyes? ! She then gave me attitude when I told her enough is enough, why must I restrain my son for an unnecessary test? She tells me she can't do his exam now since she over books herself and we had to fight with my son for 30 mins for the stupid test. She doesn't take the time needed for her patients she rushes though every appointment because she schedules someone every 15 minutes.
Dr. Rohrlick, is the only optometrist I Trust with my eyes she has shown to be Extremely professional and caring, I have been seeing her for more year's than I care to admit and have never felt rushed. For those that had a bad experience, trashing her doesn't persuade those patients that feel the opposite. I would recommend her to everyone AND I DO!
I can't say that an actual eye exam here is a bad experience, because I never actually got to the exam I had scheduled. After finding the location-this exact store, directly on the website for my insurance, I made an appointment and submitted my information. A day or two later I receive a vague message about an insurance question. I try to call back, no answer. I wait a day and try to call again, no answer. I cannot answer their question by leaving a message on a machine, because I do not know what the question is, and I also cannot actually get a person on the phone. Finally, they call me back and I get to speak to a person who tells me that yes, Pearle Vision takes my insurance, but the particular optometrist (read: only optometrist) working at this location does not, and would I like to keep the appointment-no, I would not.
Pearle Vision is okay. The eye doctor, Dr. E. Rohrlick, was not okay. Here's the story:
In my first eye exam, she proceeded, in my opinion, a little too quick and gave me a prescription that was not correct (my old prescription was stronger), which I found out later. I went back to ask her for another prescription, holding the new glasses in my hand and telling her that they were not good enough, she was still very defensive of her original prescription. She went ahead and gave me another exam but started out really low so that I obviously had to squint to see the line. After a few switches and "#1 or #2"s, she switched to a comparatively clear prescription sort of suddenly and she said "how that? " and I said "that's much clearer! " and she grabs the Ophthalmic machine and swings it around and says "that's the prescription I gave you, " with a hint of frustration. Later, my wife took my old glasses and new glasses in to be analyzed and they were off by -0.25 in sphere and the PD was different, which shouldn't have been because I don't think my pupil distance has grown that much.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN EYE EXAM unless you are prepared to TELL her to do it again, try higher. YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER. Doctors have expertise that should be listened to but YOU ARE PAYING THEM TO DO A GOOD JOB.
