Penn Campus Hair Skin & Nail Salon reviews
17Chuck, the owner, was a nice enough guy who made good conversation, but for $29 + tip I was fairly unsatisfied with the haircut. The clippers he used seemed outdated and were very sharp, the back of my neck is now quite irritated. It was a decent haircut, but there are other places in the city that can get you a better one for cheaper. I also didn't exactly get what I asked for, which was a fade. Instead, I got a tapered on the sides and back trim. Overall a solid experience, but not the best.
Definitely my favorite place to go in the university city for a haircut. The staff are super friendly and really good in their job. Specially during covid, they are taking extra precautions by checking temperature and ensuring proper sanitizations.
The services are also affordable. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great place to get a haircut, Chusc the owner gave me a very nice cut, they have covid safety protocols in place, I highly reccomend this place!
Lisa was the 2nd hair stylist to ever give me a hair cut that I actually loved. She was so nice and did exactly what I wanted while also helping me make a final decision. Highly recommend her.
This salon was AMAZING! I went in without an appointment and they completely fixed my dry & bleached hair.
Really good haircut from a talented hairdresser. I was able to walk in and get a cut with ease. I was really pleased with the care the hairdresser put into consulting me throughout the process. Reasonable price and good location. Very friendly and talkative without being overbearing.
After going to different barber shops over the 20+ years in Philadelphia, I’ve found this to be the most consistent shop. True, there is turnover of staff, but the haircuts remain the same — generally good and often better than average. The prices are college prices mostly. As for the nail portion, I cannot say, but for men’s haircuts, I highly recommend.
This salon it perfect for great hair, waxing needs and pedicures. All wonderful solutions for men in today's styles. Wonderful patient people helping in style solutions.
Just went for a manicure. I usually go gel powder but their girl who does it was off. Which was fine. I got a regular manicure. They were friendly, clean salon, and a great selection of colors.
The absolute worst in regard to a full set/overlay. 4 days ago, my nails were perfect.so I thought. Not even a week and one nail tip came off, one is loose, and another is chipped. For $55, my nails should last the entire two weeks! Very pissed and disappointed with the finished product, especially since I do not partake in any labor intensive activities. If anyone knows of a nail salon in the area that is actually worth the money, please let me know! Price is not an issue. Thanks
Got a terrible haircut from this place. I tried to point out how my hair was shaved unevenly on the sides but she wasn’t able to fix it so I gave up. Guessing she only knew how to work with white people hair honestly.
I work in the same building as the salon and have had the chance to talk to some customers here. My students appreciate the flexibility of scheduling and the convenient location. They are reasonably priced and offer competitive quality of service and products. I have also worked with them to offer promotions to UPenn employees and they have been very friendly in those interactions as well. Purchased a gift card from them recently and the recipient is a satisfied customer too.
Worst haircut of my life. Barber was frequently inattentive and accidentally shaved half my head. Will need to wait for more than a month before I can go somewhere else to fix it.
No idea why they have 3 stars. Only used the barber though. Chuck is great. I call ahead and get right in, which helps my busy schedule.
Really good barber here. My hair is kind of thin and hard to cut, but he took his time and got it right. You won't get quality like this from great clips.
The girl I had cut too short on the side.then cut the rest on that same side longer. I noticed it after I left. Very unprofessional. Wow.
