Penn Granite, Wilkes-Barre PA

I can't say enough good about these guys. We originally went to Lowe's to have our countertops done because I thought that was a smart decision. After 5 months and no progress, I was able to pull out of the contract and we drove down to Penn Granite.

In the course of an hour Jimmy helped us pick out our own slab of rock, had a template date set, and the install was a week later.

The template guys were great to work with. While a little rusty on their English, they did their thing and just needed me to sign.

The installers were an awesome group of guys. The ring leader was very cool, calm, collected and they spent 6 hours getting the countertops in after having vehicle issues in the morning. They're seam lines were impeccable and I couldn't tell where they were until they pointed them out.

When they went to install the backsplash, it was discovered that it had snapped in transport. They assured me they would make it right and go the step further by giving a taller backsplash.

A week later, a professional and his apprentice came back with the taller backsplash and we couldn't be happier!
Great people, wonderfull service, and we saved $1500 by going local.

I also want to mention they cleaned up better than I would have ever thought. After all the granite work and saw cuts I can happily report that all surfaces, window sills, appliances were cleaned up by the crews and you'd be hard pressed to tell they were even there.

Their website states they close at 4: 00pm on Saturday. Had a few things going on today - when I got done, I rushed to Penn Granite from over a half hour away. Arrived at 3: 19pm. The Owner was in the lot helping another customer. As I pulled in, I saw him check his watch. When I got out of the car, the Owner said as dismissively as possible, “Just so you know, we’re locking up in 11 minutes. ”
I get it - it’s Saturday afternoon and he wants to get out of there, but the delivery of the statement was incredibly rude. If he had said nicely that they were closing early or the website was incorrect, that would be completely understandable. In addition to that, fix the hours on your website if that’s the case.
Immediately left and will take my business elsewhere.

Professional courteous people that are very helpful and prices are phenomenal for there quality products.

Alot of granite to choose from, Jimmy is wonderful and helpful in picking out the perfect countertops for you. Instaalation was a breeze. Love love our kitchen!

I'd love to leave a review on the counters we wanted to purchase, but when they no-show on the first appointment to provide an estimate, it is difficult. We even called to confirm the appointment. Crickets!

Penn Granite, we had an appointment scheduled for 10/27 between 10-11 and nobody showed. We called to confirm and the call was not returned same day or within 24 hours.

Penn Granite was amazing! They completed the job long before other companies even called me back to give a quote. Everybody I worked with was pleasant and professional. The seam is so difficult to find, great job on template and installation. Would definitely use them again.

The quartz countertops are beautiful and the men who took the templates and installed the countertops were nice. However, I was never told I had to hire my own plumber to take off the old plumbing and replace the new plumbing. The installers took pity on me and removed the old plumbing but they didn’t hook anything back up and left me on a Friday afternoon with no plumbing in the kitchen. Try to get a plumber on a Friday afternoon with no appointment scheduled. You can’t! Also, they put a hole in the side of my one cabinet and damaged the woodwork around the one door frame and just left it. No one said anything about it, didn’t say it would be repaired or fixed and they all just left assuming I didn’t see it, which I didn’t until they were already gone. How could you make that damage and not say anything, especially after I tipped them VERY well for taking off the old plumbing? That’s just not right. So now I have a hole in my cabinet and chunks of wood taken out of the frame around the door and I will have to incur those costs. That’s wrong. I don’t think management/owners care about the damage as long as they got their money. For those reasons, I would not recommend using this company.

Penn Granite does impeccable work! They are courteous, professional, and reasonable. I love my kitchen counters and fireplace hearth! Without question, I would recommend them to my own friends and family.

Penn Granite is unquestionably the best granite distributor and installer around with the best prices. We shopped around and did our homework and Penn Granite beat everyone else. They have a huge selection of granite in their storeroom to pick from. They even let us pick exactly where we wanted the granite cut from on each slab so that we had the swirl design we were looking for. Cristina was great and helped us with the process from start to finish. She also helped us to get the swirl pattern we wanted out of each piece. Gilberto answered any questions we had with installation and was very accommodating. Great company and we are highly satisfied.

This company is by far the best I have ever worked with. They were extremely accommodating in all aspects of my project. I had a complete kitchen remodel done, removed all old cabinets, countertops and appliances. I had spent a long time researching everything that I wanted and when I came to Penn Granite, they had the finest selection I had seen anywhere. Everyone there is so courteous, helpful and kind. It was such a pleasure to work with them. During my project, I had several problems with the cabinet company and these problems caused hardships for Penn Granite. Penn Granite never complained or got upset.that after they installed the granite countertops, they had to uninstall everything and then reinstall a second time because of the mistakes made by the cabinet company. They were so understanding. I truly have never worked with such wonderful people before. My countertops are so beautiful and they were installed perfectly. I am so very happy with everything they did. Matt, I want to thank you for all your kindness and understanding throughout my ordeal. You are such a great person and you have, by far, the absolute best products, not only in this area, but better than I have seen in New Jersey and New York. Thank you for everything and I am looking forward to working with you on my next project.

We initially went to Penn Granite because of the great reviews and huge selection. We were able to find a great piece of granite that fit our kitchen perfectly but when we were ready to install there was an issue with the granite.

Matt and his team at Penn Granite bent over backwards to make sure that things were made right for us and he went to great lengths (to much to explain) to ensure that we got the granite we wanted. I thought our project was going to be delayed by another week or more but Matt's team made the turnaround in three days.

In the end, we were completely satisfied by our experience and plan to go back to Penn Granite for any additional needs. Thanks again to Matt and the Penn Granite staff for being top notch from beginning to end.

I had such a good experience with this store. They have great selection and I feel the prices are very reasonable. At the end of the day the final product could not have turned out better. I was nervous because ours was a big project (a lot of square footage of awkwardly shaped kitchen counter to replace), but they got the cuts perfect, and the guys who did the install did a great job and were very courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to do the bathroom counters next year.
