Penn Line Enterprises, Inc. reviews
17Totally destroyed the block's trees! Total disregard to private property! My home sits right on the corner a feet away from the trees they were trashing! Limbs as thick as 5" hit the side of my historical home and luckily didn't break any original window panes! They did hit the small utility box used to connect the other utility's lines from the pole to the house and actually tore it away from the house! I was standing in the window watching the destruction! When I went out to speak to the man "controlling" the street traffic, he actually shrugged his shoulders, rolled his eyes, and walked away. To say I was upset is an understatement! RUDE. Do a job and be respectful! Your people take a paycheck, train them to be polite and caring!
1.destruction of property - 2. Destruction of wildlife 3. Unresponsive to requests to speak to supervisor 4. Obstructing roadway excessively 5. Trespassing on private property 6. Littering
The guys that came to my property were very professional, they worked as hard as they possibly could taking down 5 trees in an unbelievable short period of time.
The foreman was great and all workers were friendly, I have absolutely no complaints
The young men that came to trim a tree next door to us had to bring the truck thorough our side yard. They asked us about driving through and warned us of potential loss of some of our landscaping branches. Because of their polite professional approach, and very careful maneuvering, they did it without any damage to our landscaping - and it was no easy task. We can't thank them enough for being sensitive to our request to being careful, and for cutting down some hemlock branches near to wires that were beyond our reach.
This co has some serious PR issues! Recently they entered our property while it was still dark. Our security system activated and really scared us as we could not see who had entered. We were not contacted by anyone prior to their arrival (they had been here in the spring cutting our trees for the utility co) so we werent expecting them. We were then told not enough had been removed and their right of way work would continue. Their lack of communication sparked a bad situation that continued for 2 days. The distruction that was caused to our property was heartbreaking-multiple trees were cut to the ground and huge pieces of wood were strewn around and stacked on the side of the driveway and the state rd below our property. I cried for 2 days and every time I looked at what had been done it felt like I was at a funeral for a loved one.
After multiple calls to Penn Line, REA and PennDot they were directed to remove the wood by the driveway and state rd.and to cleanup some of the other pieces of wood.
This experience devastated two senior citizens.
If you are a homeowner and need tree service please look for a local respectful independent tree service and spare yourself some grief.
Cut a tree down in between my property and my neighbors.besides destroying the tree, they didn't clean up their mess.after just having my yard mowed and cleaned up, it would have been nice to have the tree debris cleaned up. I called office and of course had no return phone call.
Absolutely no regard for the quality of work they perform. I would also love to know the rational for destroying two beautiful trees on my property when only several inches of tree limbs and leaves infringed on the power line right of way. And it's not the first time this has happened either. Absolutely pathetic. Zero stars would not be enough.
Penelec hires pennline to trim trees in Mineral Point. They trim tree branches on one side of the road and make the tree lop sided where the main power lines run through and can cause damage to our house if we get a big wind storm and the tree breaks. The tree has a gap on the side facing the road which means the tree will learn towards the house. Then the crew gets told to go across the street where there is no main power line only a ine connected to an abandoned house and cuts down the whole tree by penelec. Now tell me where the logic is in all that. I know they can't force an abandoned house to pay for any damages but can try to force the people who live in houses make there insurance company pay for damages or make you pay to cut the tree down that should have been cut down for free because of the damage it can cause. I think for now on I will tell any tree crew to leave my tree alone because I now have to worry if the tree breaks and falls on my house not on their power lines. When talking to a crew member he said it's not their choice but the electric company. That's pretty bad that they can't make up their minds but the power company has to do it for them. Then by the time if the power company agrees it could be to late.
These guys were so helpful, they trimmed in front of our house and got rid of those damn flowering pears.they got rid of the sumac tree in our lilacs under the line by the well house.n more of those flowering pears.did a nice job on our magnolia.and then trimmed the (fence row)
of (more Flowering Pear) along rt six.we are all so pleased with how it looks, and it is always fun to watch how they work together so well. Guess we will see y'all again in another four years.thank u!
I was not happy about having my trees trimmed but I do understand why they needed to be done because of the wires. Because I called Pennline to ask about what they were going to do, they did send Skyler who worked with me and who did try to limit what they did with his crew. Hoping my trees will recover
Was told gonna bring chipper / ground crew clean up 6/7 huge pines. Then told after a week of not showing up that they were NOT cleaning it up. Really. Should of left them there then. Pics can be seen on facebook and instagram. SAY NO TO PENN LINE.

Was union 542 operating engineers and penn line refused to pay us our union wages they gave us 17.50 for our yard time and load time. Called union let them know and they now say 6 months later they have a court case about it, was fired because I called the union and started this whole ordeal, thank you Ryan Kramer for not paying your employees like your supposed to under the union contract.screw you and screw you seth and tony. We will meet again
The electric company hired you all about a tree in my front yard, I came home from work the tree was being cut which is ok. Butttttt the mess they left the huge tree trunk on top of little logs is very dangerous, my neighbor spoke with them and the guys were very rude and unprofessional. I took pictures of how they left it, sent those to my landlord and he spoke with the electric company. The guys came back today to take care of the mess and it’s as if they really don’t care. Mind u they were suppose to cut it up to where it could be hauled away. Well needless to say it’s not.
The tree crew on Tremont Avenue, Greensburg butchered a young oak on my property this morning. The leader branch was growing straight and was a good ten feet from the line. They could have trimmed the side branches, but they topped it. I did voice my displeasure with what they did. When they drove away they waved and gave me a smarmy smile.
Penn Lines who is contracted by Adams Electric cooperative has violated our property rights and trespassed outside of their right of ways multiple times.
You wanna put a hit on your water bill
. Call a utility contractor.driving a utility tractor while we all head toward the great attractor. T
Came home from work and they were trimming trees for the power line for the second time of which is fine but it was the second time I could get to my house because they had the whole street blocked. I had to park somewhere else and walk home, not the easiest and most convenient thing to do with a 1 year old. They finally finish up and leave and I go outside and there are tire tracks in my yard from their truck, debris and branches left behind in the yard, cigarette butts in the driveway and yard, and what looked to be tobacco chew in the street. With a small child and dog those 2 things could be harmful to them if found. I am not to happy to say the least, very unprofessional.
