Penn State Health Medical Group - Mount Joy

My husband had a appointment with 1 of the physicians at this clinic. His appointment was at 3pm, we got to the check in at 255pm at that time the lady there was helping someone else, another lady call him around the side to check him in. When go to check in the lady said they were in his chart and she couldn't check him yet, she give him some papers to fill out and send him back to the waiting room. About 15 minutes later they call him on this phone asking about his referral, saying they have not received a referral from his insurance, they took his case manager number to contact them. We waited in the waiting room for another 5 minutes, then they call him to check him in and send him back to the waiting room, a little while after a lady came out and call him to the back stating she needed to talk to him, when back there she told him that he was late and the doctor couldn't see him. My husband informed her that he was coming from fort drum NY for this appointment. That lady said she will talk with the doctor to see if she will consider seeing him, which she did, we were taken to an examination room and we were told by the nurse that this visit will be short. A PA came in and was very rushed, she was very nice and apologized for the short time.

This is the best doctor's office I've ever been to. Everyone is so friendly, and thorough with everything! I feel like they actually care about you, and they actually listen to your concerns. Plus you can see actual Doctor's instead of just Nurse Practicioners which is why I left my last doctor's office. On top of all that they called to cancel and reschedule an appointment that I had, and were able to just throw me into an appointment that same day 30 minutes after our phone call which was amazing. I definitely recommend this office

Worst doctor office ever! If I could give no stars I would. I started seeing this dr when I was pregnant n lived closer. Now that I had my son it’s been harder gettin there without a car n living an hour away. I was trying to keep him here till his specialist appointments were done but it’s just got so bad to where I feel so uncomfortable to even go into an appointment. I’ll be switching to Welspan York! For anyone who wants to go here just remember if you’re a young mom, ”20”. Don’t miss ONE appointment or they’ll call CYS ON YOU. Maybe if Hershey was better at scheduling I’d be able to make my appointments but no it’s either months away or the next day! Never been so upset in my life. I HATE HERSHEY. Y’all kill kids.

I've been a patient at this practice for approximately three years. I've seen family med as well as OB/GYN. I've seen Dr. Kamboj as my PCP and she is a wonderful practitioner. Very attentive, understanding, and knowledgeable. I feel like she cares about my overall health and she actually knows me and my medical concerns and conditins. I don't get forced to see a different doctor in the practice and typically have no problem getting seen when I call for an appointment. I have also used the patient portal to send secure messages and I always get a fast response from her or someone else in her office (typically nursing staff). I actually like my doctor and this practice so much that I travel about 30 minutes each way for my appointments and actually pay a little more because I am employed with a different hospital and get a discounted rates if I use one of their providers. I made the decision that saving time and money was not worth it. Peace of mind and knowing I have a great doctor and get excellent care was much more valuable to me.
