Penn State Health Urgent Care - Camp Hill

I've been there 3 times (late afternoon weekdays) and I've only had relatively quick, good experiences.

If you want to punish yourself, I suggest go here, not only will you have to wait 2 hrs to be seen, but then be treated like a 2nd class citizen! Dr's that are condescending and uninformitive, having absolutely no bed side manners, but to insult and humiliate all in the span of 2 wasted hrs of my life I won't get back. Are they that miserable? Next time I'll go to the ER!

I have these horrifically itchy, crusty/oozey, red welts all over between my knees and up to my armpits. I was told they are just bug bites, which is weird because I don't have ANY on places that were actually exposed. They are all in places that are covered by clothes, some places by multiple layers of clothes. My boyfriend has them too. He was not able to get to urgent care before they closed, so he went to an ER. He was told it's a staph infection, which honestly explains it a lot better than bug bites. Maybe it's because I got there just before close, but how does one doc see bug bites and another see an obvious staph infection? It felt very dismissive.

Dr Timothy was so amazing! He seen I was a cash pay so he made sure the pharmacy I went to had a good price and even printed me out a coupon! Thank you so much for your care and concern.

Went there last year for a bad cough. The nurse was very rough. She had to take swab for strep and did the covid test with the long swab. Probably the worst experience I ever had at an urgent care facility.

We waited over 2 hours for only 5 people ahead of us. Obscene wait time - they must have no staff working.

I would expect the level of care of to be exceptional given the PSU backing but that’s not the case. Customer service was acceptable but I had to call 5 times to get a prescription order figured out. Two days later it hasn’t been resolved. I went else where and within the hour I have the antibiotics. Really disappointed and disheartening that something so standard and basic wasn’t resolved effectively. Think twice before visiting this location.

I came here today because Covid test kit came up positive. I have been waiting for 3 hours. I could understand it if there were a lot of people in the waiting room. But there are only four patients in front of me. I’m not feeling well and I can’t believe that such a place would be called urgent care… couldn’t be farther from the truth. Neither urgent or do I get the remotest feeling that the people here care. Health care has become joke in this country and the people involved in this scam should feel some humility about the poor service they provide. Hoping to be seen before they close because I don’t think they are going to stay open late for me.

This is far and away the worst urgent care facility I have ever been to. There’s two people in the waiting room and I still had to wait an hour to be seen to simply get a paper signed. Would give this place 0 stars if I was able to. Would advise going to any other urgent care on the planet.

This place used to be really good but since then has gone downhill. Save yourself the time and effort and go out to Patient First in Mechanicsburg.

The last time I went the facility was severely understaffed and we had a very long wait. A lot of these places suffer from that so I was understanding.

Then my child got sick and we drove over at 11: 30am only to see a sign saying the facility reached full capacity? Something strange is going on with this location.

3 hours wait? ! Emergency room I can understand. Urgent care? ! No way. This is RIDICULOUS! FIND SOME PLACE ELSE!

Everytime I come back the service is worse and worse. I understand this is a health care facility and there are bound to be waits. But here we are, I’ve been here nearly two hours in a practically empty waiting room and have yet to be seen. I’m definitely going to UPMC anytime after this.

Been here over two hours with positive Covid shortness of breath and chest pain. They told me a hour and half when I came in. For this I could have went to the ER.

This is supposed to be urgent care.over 2 hours waiting to even be seen. Ridiculous.to top it off I was told only 1 person ahead of me and they called 2 back, I'm still waiting.

What round rollie women in the check in was an absolute c**t! Refused treatment on a 15 month old because we were out of state. I wish this pig nothing but the worst.

Why are ERs crowded with patients all the time? Because we can’t afford bare minimum care. BILL THE PATIENT

We waited for over an hour to be seen. There were maybe 5 people ahead of us. People that checked in were being seen so I questioned why we were still waiting. I was informed my child was checked out. We were never even seen by a physician to be checked out. This will be our last visit here.

Attempted to go there for my son's ear ache. I couldn't get him into the pediatrician. I was told it was an hour wait when I arrived. That would've been fine. I had finished hour 2 when they started calling in people who had just arrived. I asked about it and was told we were next. The next patient called was another person who had only been waiting for about 20 minutes. When I said I was leaving they said they'd check again to see what was going on. We left and went to the UPMC urgent care on the Carlisle Pike. Waited at most 10 minutes before being called into a room. As close as you are to the emergency room, you'd probably be seen there before you'd be seen from the urgent care.

Arrived at 5: 30/ was refused treatment because they were too “busy” /see picture below, the waiting room was empty. They said they were busy in the back, but that doesn’t matter. What if someone had driven 30 min away? Restaurants and other businesses have to deal with last minute guests/sometimes it stinks - and they get paid a lot less than these doctors. This was so wrong on so many levels. One star. Don’t bother going.

Do not go here if you want to be seen in a timely manner. They run like an ER so no matter what time you get there you could be the last person seen. I got here at 3: 45 didnt get checked in until after 4: 30 and at 7pm at im still waiting in the waiting room. HORRIBLE since the system change.
