Penn State Health Urgent Care - Muhlenberg reviews
18I was a little hesitant seeing previous reviews but I have been here twice and have had no issues. The staff is so nice, comfortable atmosphere. They really care to help you when not feeling well. Would definitely recommend.
I didn't believe it when someone else told me about similar treatment at this urgent care. My child was taken there by their brother because they said they were having trouble breathing & it was closest. The parking lot was all but empty - about 4 cars. When they got to the door they were told it was too full. When urgent care was informed my child was having trouble breathing they said to his brother you can take him to emergency. It was just about 3pm. They don't close until 4.
If you don't mind waiting HOURS this place is for you, literally they see 1 visitor at a time, too many people waiting to be seen. I'm from NYC so maybe this is typical in PA.
Worst place ever i was waiting over a hr i told the Receptionist my chest hurts i have Brugada pattern syndrome i need a treatment the lady calls a nurse wants to speak to me in front of everyone violating hippa. They a joke i just walked out cuz sick and all i was bout to catch a case never again
Took child in for sore ear, they said excessive wax suggested wax removal kit from target…. Next few days it was so bad took him to patient first and it wasn’t wax build up it was swimmer’s ear!
Im in pain for a condition i have i was told the pain will continue for a little longer to go away. The nurse and doc was really nice and understanding i was put in more medication for pain thank you i hope this meds help me
I have been waiting over 3 hours to have my child seen and when trying to understand what was taking so long I’m told there is only one provider and sorry there is nothing could be done. They were extremely rude and not very empathetic! You go to an urgent care to be seen in a timely manner not wait emergency room times. If you were having longer than usual wait times you should disclose that at the very beginning so the person understands and can make the decision to stay or not! Especially so they aren’t late for work or other previous obligations! It’s called being considerate and it’s so important when you are running a business!
I called to get lab results and was put on hold for twenty minutes. When calling again I was told they were busy. The receptionist was huffy and rude when I didn't know the Dr's name and asked her to check for me. I finally was told an email would be sent and someone would get back to me.
I would advise you to go somewhere else highly unprofessional nurses. I waited an hour and left my appointment was at 11: 30 and was in the waiting room until 12: 35. They misdiagnosed me and tried to blame everything else but themselves. Will be seeking action. Also very Unapologetic and arrogant.
It was good except at Penn state Health urgent care. The nurse was very nice. Just waiting for the doctor to come in to see me
I've been to this location three separate times. They have never been helpful. They don't want to help, they rather send you somewhere else to be seen.
This is 3rd world healthcare and should be illegal.
I was the 1st patient through the door at 7AM, and it still took them 1hr 30min to see me. Very questionable practice, and a waste of my time, since the doctor/nurse practitioner (no clue since she didn't introduce herself), was in the room for 45 seconds total, and seemed to have already made a determination, based on nothing. They refused to prescribe me the antibiotic that I needed, and as I walked out, I just felt bad for all the people waiting to be seen.
WENT IN TO THE FACILITY TODAY TO GET BLOOD WORK AND WAITED 90 MINUTES BECAUSE THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK LAYED MY PAPERWORK DOWN AND IT GOT COVERED UP WITH OTHER PAPERWORK AND SHE NEVER TOOK IT TO THE BACK FOR THE GIRL TO DO THE BLOOD WORK AND IT TOOK ME 2 TIMES ASKING WHAT THE HOLD UP WAS TO SEE SHE FOUND IT AND TO NOT EVEN GIVE ANY KIND OF AN APOLOGY. I UNDERSTAND THINGS CAN HAPPEN AND IT WAS A MISTAKE BUT REALLY WOULD OF LIKED AN APOLOGY OF SOME SORT. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL.
Went here at 8pm they close at 9pm, told them my symptoms at check in. Then when I was called back I explained again. She didn’t do anything didn’t take my blood pressure or anything at all. Was told to go to the ER instead even though it specifically said they treated what I was there for on a sign
Horrible experience. Rude and unprofessional. Didn't provide treatment, said i wouldn't be billed. But i received a bill, called several times to have it resolved. But I'm stuck with a bill for no service.
This urgent care is the worse in berks county. They have poor timing with service. Everything is a 2-4 hour wait. You mines well go to the hospital for that type of wait. I went literally an hour after they opened and couldn’t been seen.
I can not believe how rude the girl was at the front. When it was pointed out to her that she was escalating the problem with my husband, she raised her voice to me too. When he apologized for starting off poorly.she blamed him for not feeling well and didn't even consider offering an apology for her lack of customer care. How can you employ people at an Urgent care who have no compassion or ability to communicate calmly in stressful situations. It was not our fault she was busy. When she sent us down the road to another PSH facility.she was just as rude. We took our business elsewhere.
I’m not going to be too critical because I work in the medical field. Many of the staff were talking about personal matters that patients could hear. Although the wait was long by the time I got back to the exam room at least 4 care givers I believe PAs were huddled and it did t look like they were in a hurry to see patients. We should never get to comfortable doing our jobs because then we come off mediocre. BTW thanks to the blonde nurse she did an excellent job.
