PennDOT Driver License center, Norristown PA

This was a 5 star experience. The system is very efficient and they got me in and out very quickly. Highly recommend.

Would’ve given this place a 1 star if it werent for 2 employees. Services is horrible apart from Kim who is usually at counter 9 and Dianne from counter 1. The rest of the staff are subpar and gives off the energy of not wanting to be there and work. The receptionist usually do not know what they’re doing and i’ve met 2 of them.

My experience at PennDOT was excellent. Took me two minutes to sign in as I waited in line behind four people they processed really quick. And then I went up my number was called quickly within 2 minutes of sitting down. Spoke to the very nice lady. She explained everything really nicely to me. She took my picture asked me to have a seat and within two more minutes she called me up to inspect my new driver's license and confirm everything was correct. I was literally in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. This is a shocker for me going into a government entity to get something done and spending only 10 minutes doing it. I give them all the applause in the world. And they were very nice that's the other shocker cuz usually we don't get that when we go to government.

I never thought I'd say I experienced a quick, friendly, positive experience at any pennDOT location but here we are!

The gentleman who helped me with processing my paperwork as well as the woman who took my photo & issued my new license were both incredibly friendly, efficient, and quick.

Maybe it was a fluke & I lucked out.
Maybe it's just because I'm a ray of sunshine with rainbows coming out of my rear. Regardless, it was actually a pleasant experience. Top notch! Happy Wednesday:)

Ps my photos are 4 years apart and I've lost 215+ lbs. Glad to be able to keep my old license finally!

Manager made me wait in line because someone was exercising their first amendment right to record.

I swear the only way this entity continues to exist is due to tax payer extortion. There’s no way such an incompetent organization could actually thrive without having to steal their revenue.

Having to deal with the straight rudeness and utter laziness of the people that are employed by the PA DMV is enough to make someone want to leave the state.

My son had his road test. We had Lewis. He was a sweet person. My son failed his test! Don't forget to stop BEHIND the white line!

Hello. We are all busy and we all have enough things on our plate. Planning after months, I finally got sometimes today to come to Norristown DMV since they said they are OPEN today (10/07/2023) at 8: 30 AM to 4: 15 PM BUT which is not true. They are close and they could not care enough to let the public know. They could have put it on Google. I drove for 45 minutes to come here in Norristown DMV. What is happening in this world? I don’t recommend this place for nobody. My uncle, my dad, few of my friends got their license and ID renewal from here and they said people are rude.

Such a horrible unfriendly process and people. Not sure why they can’t be kind…. We are all just trying. Never have I had such a difficult state. Lack of appointments or being able to get in a “virtual” line add to the crazy back woods ways here. Florida was SO MUCH better!

I don’t even know what this place is like cuz they don’t even have accurate hours of operation online. Please fix cuz I, along with about 10 other people while I was trying to figure out what was going on, were extremely confused and showed up for nothing. Thanks for nothing.

Went to take a DL photo, in and out in leas than 20 minutes. People are helpful and courteous.

Went around 10am on a Wednesday to get my picture taken. I was seen right away, I'm and out in less than 15 minutes. I brought a book thinking I'd need to kill some time, didn't even open it! All of the women working today that I interacted with were beyond pleasant. Best DMV trip I've had lol

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon to get my license renewed.

The whole process took 5 minutes tops. Staff were very friendly, facility was clean, and the experience left me with a new found appreciation for the dmv

Was going great until they had a fire drill. We were almost finished when the alarm sounded. Very nice staff and very efficient!

This morning I been here with my God son and his wife, lady front desk nice and give all information we need……. Kids live in one side of Philadelphia, but the DMV near not nice, second time I have come from Virginia to Pennsylvania for it. I like this DMV even have to drive little more……thank you lady do paperwork too.

Come here if you want to waste hours of your life waiting for the most unorganized people. It also smells like manure.
