Do not go here!
I was a patient here in May of 2022 and was witness to the following.

No medical staff on duty for patients in Detox nor the 30-day short term program. The only medical staff was provided during limited hours in the long-term program.

The staff routinely gave top bunk beds to patients that were over the 250 lbs.weight limit that was clearly marked on the beds themselves, ignoring the posted safety recommendations like me that weighed in at 290 lbs.

The facility is outdated and in need of serious updates to its infrastructure staff and procedures.

I went there for help, and I felt like I was in a jail cell as that is what the rooms resembles complete with metal bunk beds antique wood dressers, faulty air window air condition with black mold growing in the vents.painted grey floors, dirty bathrooms with dirty showers and did I mention the many fights in the rooms and hallways.

Short term patients have very little if any type of recreational activities except corn hole, tossing a football, puzzles and board games with missing pieces and 1 TV. While long term patients have access to an entire game room complete with sofas, musical instruments, pool tables and more.

Patients that had prescription medications frequent had their medications stolen and the person handing out the medications was only an intern not staff nor a medical Doctor or nurse. An intern dared another patient to drive the farm vehicle minivan when patients are not to do so. Because he was dared to and on Suboxone the patient did so, and they kicked the patient out. Also please note that these Farm vehicles as they call it are old vans that are were not road safe and the staff routinely would leave the keys in the ignition.

Upon admission the staff/interns did not do the COVID test on new admissions as they were instructed to do to prevent an outbreak there.

Upon the outbreak in the short-term program the staff did not have the housing location cleaned professionally to reduce the chance of more patients being exposed to COVID and getting sick.

During their event for family and graduation as they call it, the individuals in the 30-day short-term program were served food in Styrofoam containers that was not kept chilled nor warmed per Serve Safe specifications in a gym that was under repair with several exit doors that were not operational and missing fire extinguishers.

Not to mention several staff members were terminated for getting paraphernalia in that was banned from the site for the patients.

This facility routinely ignores the safety of its patients and should be shut down.

AS I SAID DO WHILE I AM STILL SOBER IT WAS DUE TO LITTLE HELP FROM THEM BUT GETTING ME AWAY FROM THE DRUG, I WAS ADICTED TO.

IT IS A MIRICLE I MADE IT OUT IN ONE PIECE.

I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS FACILITY FOR ANYTHING BUT DEMOLITION!

Great place the people that are running it are not men of God, and should not be running it I don’t recommend going to this place

My loved one is there and really likes it. Especially Chapel. I highly recommend it for Fetynal, or any addiction. Christ centered. Effective. Uses medication if wanted.
Long term, which is what they need!
And I want to encourage you.
They had lost everything.

Adult and Teen Challenge transformed and changed my life for ever. Thank you Teen Challenge for teaching me how to walk with Jesus and showing me what it is to be a true Christian.

I am a 2021 graduate. Before coming to Teen Challenge, I was homeless on the streets of Philadelphia. I came here for recovery, but I got a new life instead. It sounds weird to say about my time in rehab, but it was one of the best years of my life. After graduating, I interned here, eventually becoming a staff member. I wanted to work because of what I saw in the staff as a student, their love for God and people, and servanthood. It is not just a job to them but a calling. I would recommend PAATC to anyone struggling with addiction, and I am eternally grateful to God for using it to give me a life and a purpose.

If you are really serious about recovery, this is not the place you wanna go. It’s a faith-based nightmare. It’s dirty, they have no security there. It’s not safe, especially if you’re someone that stands out, or can think on your own.

God forbid if you decide you wanna leave for a “better” environment. They gonna make you pay for that decision. They had me all they way up in the mountains yodeling with Hilda…

It took them two days to find me another rehabilitation facility. They kept my meds, and the little bit of money I came there with. They won’t even let you make a phone call, or retrieve your electronic, or cellular devices until they throw you off the premises purposely after the sun has gone down.

They even somehow erased, and reset one of my phones. Luckily, I had two phones and I was still able to get in contact with my love ones so they know I was safe. Which is why I wanted to leave in the first place because I no longer felt safe there.

They tried every trick they could think of to keep me there. It’s a faith based prison!

I graduated from PAATC in 2017 and i can say that it changed my life forever after 14 years of addiction. I’m still sober and free and God used this place to change my life forever. God restored me and my family and I love this place for how it helped me establish a relationship with God
