Pennsylvania American Water, Scranton PA

Some kind of "improvements" were made overnight in Scanton PA area. I was notified of potential water issues between 6pm and 6am. I had no water at all after 9pm. Started using water at 730am. It's been dark brown for an hour.so far. I've probably used 50 gallons of water trying to run it clear. No luck. All of this dirty water that I'll have to pay for. No contact possible with American. Private companies should have no business supplying drinking water.

I truly believe this company is botching the bills. I would pay my entire balance, but they would claim you still have balance forward over. When ask customer service to explain, they can't.this is unbelievable that they can do this. No one to look into the billing of this company, it's outrageous. They have the worst service and the most criminal billing system.

Perfectionists at giving you the "run around". They did work on the main water lines down the road from my house and dirty water is now coming out of the hot and cold lines. I am without water today because of this and had to buy bottled water.the receptionist Gale did not help one bit. This company does not care about you.

Worst company ever! Shut off my water yesterday and I have kids in my house after they took $30 for service fee

One word- Horrible. Trying to connect the service. The computer can not spell my name (frustrating). It is sending me to the web site that does not have my address. The wait time on the phone is terrible. I am thinking of putting a well on my property in a middle of the town. Idiotic.

One of the call center leads named Hercules seems to feel like a big man when he speaks to women. When he was on the phone with my wife he was rude and crass to the point of making here cry. PA american water is a outfit working in bad faith. They are only the water provider because they have a monopoly. I'm going to be calling ever representative and senator and tell them that we don't want them as our utility company. I recommend everyone else do this as well. The only way to make them care is to make them think thier no longer invincible.

Terrible customer service. You will speak with an automated machine for 20 minutes just to have them say that all representatives are busy and they'll call you back. You're lucky if they call you back within a few hours. I finally got through and spoke to a nice lady but she wasn't even able to find my address. I'm sure this is a fault in the companies system. I currently have water running from this company at this address and somehow they don't have it on record.

I would give them zero stars if I could im sorry to say that about any business I don't enjoy giving any company a bad review. But there was a water main break on my street my water completely turned to mud now I called to get help trying to clear up the matter it seems all the customer service calls are circumvented out of state i called 2 twice asking someone if they could please have someone return my call no one ever did eventually my water did return to normal thank God but to not even call back and inquire is terrible i would never do that to anyone to not even respond im assuming that because it happened on a weekend and they did not want to be bothered i mean how would they feel if it was their water? VERY POOR SERVICE and sadly my review probably doesn't mean anything except as a warning to others if they say Water Quality Control will call back don't get your hopes up.

It's almost impossible to ask a simple question on the phone to a real person before the answer machine drives you crazy.
