Pennsylvania Department of Transportation - Drivers License Center, Altoona

Renewed my License and applied and received my Real ID. It was done efficiently and cheerfully. BTW, the Real ID is an additional one time cost of $30.

Ok, this was surprising! I got there first thing in the morning. There was no line, and I was able to switch over license printed and everything in less than 15 min. Super impressed. This is one thing the government is actually doing well.

What a pleasant surprise. We did get there at a good time with hardly any wait time. Everything was handled so quickly and efficiently.

Took my son to get a photo ID at the Altoona DMV. Wait time wasn't horrible like I thought it would be and the lady we dealt with was super nice and friendly. Was definitely pleased with the services we received today.

I'm always skeptical when going into a government office for service. But the DMV has really done a 180. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The processes are streamlined and I was out of there in about 15 minutes. Granted this was earlier in the morning, so if you can fit it into your schedule, go when they open. Pleasant experience.

It’s 1: 45 on a Saturday and you’re advertised as open… closed again… beyond tired of dealing with this dmv

Awesome polite staff. And you can pay with a debit card at every window. Had fun for a change.

I rarely write reviews and have never reviewed the DMV; however, the service here is seriously 5 star. I had to get my Real ID was planning on a super inconvenient DMV visit. I showed up on Saturday about 5 minutes before they opened and there were about 20 people waiting at the door so I figured it would take forever. Several employees exited the building at exactly 8: 30 and essentially triaged everyone in line to the areas they needed to be. We all then entered the building and an employee gave us our tickets and directed us to the appropriate waiting areas. I was in my car with my new ID driving home before 9am. I told my husband how efficient and polite they were so he went over around 12: 30 to get his Real ID and was home before 1: 00. Weird to say but this DMV is absolutely 5 star.

The staff was kind and courteous, and I was in and out quickly for an updated license photo. I’ve never been to a DMV before where the staff is so friendly and helpful. Great experience.

We arrived at 8: 35am and was greeted by a very friendly person inside the door. She gave us the appropriate ticket for our needs and we sat down to wait our turn. We didn't even have a chance to fully sit before our number was called. This place is great and lightening fast. In and out within 7 minutes is super! Everyone had masks on (great to see) and everyone was nice. Inside the building was clean and they even have a restroom. Highly recommend this facility.

They are above and beyond their duty! Staff are very polite and so helpful. I got my real ID here.

Great service just didn't like having to go get a money order to pay for it. Don't have credit cards and use cash for everything. New to the area and had trouble finding my way around to get a money order. All good will know my next visit.
