Pennsylvania Rheumatology Associates, PC reviews
6Ultimately my issue wasn't anything a rheumatologist could fix, but Dr Kelly worked hard to rule out all possibilities on the rheumatology side
I went to see Dr Kelly For GCA and he suggested the biopsy of the temple oral artery.i was referred to vascular surgeon at Pennsylvania hospital Dr Dougherty.the biopsy was negative but I still have terrible headache at the temple and severe neck and jaw pain. There was no follow up appoinment nothing it’s now 2 months later and i still have the same symptoms no more tests ordered (although 40% of biopsies are negative) Inhave big lumps at the incision site and Inwas told to go see another rheumatologist.
I can't say enough good things about this practice and my experience with Dr. Kelly and the staff. Everyone has gone above and beyond not just in my care but also helping with the complexity of appointments with accompanying physicians, dealing with insurance, and following up to keep me in the loop as things proceed. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Kelly and this practice.
I went to this clinic a few years ago, and while I liked the doctor, I thought the front office was the most unwelcoming and unprofessional medical office I have ever seen. There were paper signs all over the place, taped with scotch tape, with directions/instructions. Most of these had curled edges and were dirty. And I can’t say the front office people were friendly either. I decided to find another doctor.
A wheezing man came into the office with a walker and without a mask. When I told the in-take receptionist of my discomfort she became defensive and said she was too busy to notice even when she took his temperature. She told me she didn’t appreciate being yelled at and displayed no remorse on allowing him to sit in the waiting room 2 chairs away from me. I got up and moved as far away as possible. There is no signage requiring masks or to keep social distance when sitting in a waiting room with piles of magazines and brochures still all around. No waitiing room chairs have been removed nor is there any signage of where to sit. It is outrageous that a medical office is not following CDC directives. I will never return to this office and I warn anyone who is thinking about going there. You are taking a great risk.
I came here a few years ago to see a doctor who was very knowledgeable about my condition and he was one of the few people who treated me for my condition. When he left, he provided me no referral to anyone who would see me, and I was left calling numerous places to get seen. Very irresponsible to not give a patient a referral to another doctor. I ended up doing telehealth with a highly regarded rheumatologist at HSS in NYC, where I am much happier and I am treated with much more respect.
