Would love to see longer hours on Sunday. Otherwise, a great place to shop for spices! Quality and freshness is always excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are very fair - and in fact, if you have the jars and just buy the bulk bags, most prices are quite affordable (often beating what you'd pay for lower quality spices at the grocery store)!

Our check our person was fantastic. He gave us lots of swag- pins, stickers, etc.and a discount. I love Penzey's spices - great quality.

An assault on the senses in the best possible way. It’s nearly overwhelming to take in the shear amount of beautiful spices around the world. Their staff is quick to point you in the right direction and their gift set can’t go wrong.

Place has all the spices you could want. Small heads up the spices go around the store in alphabetical order which is easy if you know that but else they seem randomly next to each other. Very fresh spices too, the vanilla beans are amazing.

LOVE this spice store.they have jars you can open and smell before you buy. The selections and prices are great and everything is so fresh.

If you are looking for a special gift, this is the place to go! Good for an experienced cook, someone just starting out or someone looking to spice up prepared food options (frozen pizza seasoning!). Cute gift boxes, reasonable prices, something unique!

They say that great ingredients makes great food, and they're right! As a baker, I LOVE using their Mexican Vanilla Extract whenever I get the chance. You can really taste the difference. It can be a little pricey, but it's worth it.

Excellent quality of spices. Penzeys even has several varieties of some spices, including cinnamon & cherry powders.

Huge selection of spices. Always very fresh. Many house blended specialty spices and blends not to mention individual spices not available in your average grocery store. Prices reflect the high quality. Love their lemon spice mixes and extracts. Also nice range of sodium free spice blends. Great price and quality for vanilla beans also! Staff is always friendly. Store is located conveniently located in the Strip District near other food wholesale shops. Highly recommended!

Go here for your spices and spice blends. It's so much cheaper than a grocery store and they have a ridiculous selection. They also have jars sitting out so you can smell everything which I find helpful. They have specials that if you spend $x you get a free jar of the special spice that month. You can also order online.

This is the best spice shop I've ever been in. They have a great selection and a great community surrounding the company.

I kind of have a love/hate relationship with this store. On the love side, they stock a large variety of herbs and spices including many that are difficult to find anywhere else. They are also located in the strip, which is a place I love to visit. (At least until it gets re-gentrified).

On the other hand, they've got some people that work there that are just, well, rude. Maybe it's just me or maybe I'm not a regular customer so I don't get the friendly treatment, but they're condescending at the register and gruff when you ask a question.

Go for the spices, not the service.

Excellent store for premium bulk spices and everything related. A wide selection of multiple type of every spice you can think of, and helpful staff for the ones you can't think of.

I love penzeys! It is my go to for all my spices and seasonings. It's nice to see that most all jars are filled to the brim unlike other stores are only 3/4 filled. They are reasonably priced and good quality.

My wife and I love this place. They have a lot of options and variety when it comes to the spices they have. The down side is that it is generally busy and the staff are not always smiling, but they do their best. Prices are a little high, but it is a specialty store.

I’m not from Pittsburgh but as far as I know this is the best place for spices in the area! They have excellent saffron at a reasonable price along with spice kits which I personally purchased and have been using for well over a Year! For anyone new to the Pittsburgh area and loves to cook I highly recommend this shop!
