We go here every year during the Victorian Christmas house tour. The building is beautiful and fancy. The plates of food are always delicious, especially the desserts. Staff is always polite. Love this place!

I chose this place for our anniversary. It was wonderful. They made my wife and I feel at home. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I regret I was not able to rate this local icon higher. My opinion is shared by my table of 7. We are all from out of town and are familiar with fine dining. As much as we love our home town we can not say that the Herdic House is a fine dining experience. The pricing is aggressive but the dishes do not live up to the price level. Wine prices are especially inflated. A glass for a full bottle price is aggressive anywhere but especially in Williamsport and given the middling quality of the food. I may even have gone down to two stars on a value vs.price issue but only my perhaps misguided respect for the local institution of Herdic House brought me to three stars. I did not feel compelled to even photograph any food.

Back in the 90's I frequently took my mother here for lunch and she loved it. She also loved the prices, (she was from Long Island) and always enjoyed good food and was a fantastic cook herself. Throughout the years I have dined here with family and friends and always had the best food served by the most competent and friendly staff. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat and it just keeps getting better.

We loved eating dinner here! Our first fine dining experience and it did not disappoint. Our waitress (Olivia I think) was attentive and very kind! We got the Crispy Hen dish and the Spinach Gnudi. Both were delicious, but the pasta and sauce in the chicken dish were exceptional. We also got a delicious creme brûlée!

What a lovely dining experience! Formal yet laid back. All the dishes were executed beautifully! The entrees including steaks, pasta and seafood were all superb. The starters were amazing as well! Top shelf beverages and spirits! 5 Staff was friendly and well versed also!

A very nice restaurant and we are pleased with our experience. The wine, soup, and meals were great. The sweet potatoes with my meal were a little too done, I’m unsure if it was purposefully done that way or not. Either way everything else was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive.

Outstanding. Finest dining in Williamsport. We had our company holiday dinner here. Everything was exquisite. From the soups, salads, and escargot to the filet, salmon or champagne chicken everything was perfect. Service was top notch. All this in the middle of the holiday season. To the Staff and management, nice job, see you again soon!

We’ve been going here for years, recently in October 2021. Exceptional service, amazing food, and unbelievably wonderful atmosphere! Definitely worth a visit anytime!

Delicious champagne chicken, all servers were lovely and gracious, but food took a long time to come out of kitchen. Worth the wait as long as you're not in a hurry.

Lovely Victorian mansion. Pleasant staff. Very good food. We had filets with potatoes and haricots vert. My BF had a caesar and I had a lovely fresh peach and feta salad.

Excellent dining experience. Was accomendated as a walkin. Filet Mignon was cooked to requestrd temperature. Side vegetables were pleasing and tasty. Service was kind and friendly, knowledgeable of establishment history.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for fine dining.

My Fiancé and I enjoyed a celebratory meal to commemorate our engagement. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, and Peruvian Shrimp. Both were spectacular, the Peruvian Shrimp was served with an amazing creamy and spicy sauce that was worth double dipping shrimp for a second bite.

We followed with a table side Caesar Salad that was prepared by one of the owners, it was a fun and engaging conversation about the restaurant, the food, the history and more; and the salad was itself delicious and filling.

We both ordered the Seared Scallops with Crab Ravioli for our main. There was a velvety green (which we didn’t identify immediately but was delicious none the less), and peas that soaked up the great flavors from our scallops and ravioli. There isn’t a single restaurant in Williamsport than can put out a scallop that was as perfectly cooked as the scallops they served. This dish was easily worth each penny, and worth the rave review alone.

We finished our meal with dessert; Creme Brûlée for myself and Chocolate Mousse Cake for her. The Creme Brûlée was made perfectly however nothing special. Meanwhile the Chocolate Mousse Cake was the fudgiest chocolate cake ever. It was a great dessert worth a special trip.

If there was one critique, and it is minor at best, the cocktails were strong (and I enjoy strong beverages).

Absolutely devine! Each time I come to this area I try to have dinner here. It's besutiful, comfortable and the food is marvelous.

Absolutely beautiful. My best friend just had her wedding reception there yesterday and it was amazing. The food was so fancy and typically I get weirded out by fancy food but it tasted fantastic. I normally don't eat my whole plate at a wedding but I did this time. The rooms were very beautiful and historic. The staff was attentive and polite. I had anTan easy timebtime contacting the venue coordinator and even made some big day of the wedding changes that she was able to achieve. We were very pleased with this venue.
