The film center shows contemporary films but also frequently shows classics. I've been able to see some of my favorite films here and at The Bourse. Anyone who loves films should check the upcoming attractions from PFS.

Purchased a movie ticket online, ended up at their actual performance arts theatre instead. Wish they'd be more clear or advise the purchaser that they shouldnt look up "Philadelphia Film Society" and thst the movie theatre us located elsewhere.

I was met in the foyer with a greeter who was very knowledgeable about the cinema. The food service area was immaculate. A great date night choice!

One of the two best places to discover new kinds/types of films. Where you can find a traditional Hollywood Fair as well as all the International Films you want. The only place that has our film festival. Always good.

This is a fun place to go. I went to see the ballet there and found they show films there. A little gem in Philly.

Biggest indoor movie screen in Philly! As Philly Film Society members, we've enjoyed watching classic and new release films in this comfy, renovated theater. Movie prices are reasonable and the staff/PFS volunteers who support the events are friendly and helpful. The theater is close to the Broad Street line and City Hall. The Center also hosts film festivals to support independent filmmakers, plus the Environmental Film Festival.

A wonderful new venue for the Philadelphia Film Festival! They’re following strict COVID precautions and the programming is stellar! Check out “Krimes” on Sat, Oct 30th at the Drive In!

My friends and I went to this movie house to hang out and spent time together. The place was clean, the seats were very comfortable, and the screen was big, clear, and loud. Besides, the foods were hot, and the drinks were cold. Honestly, we greatly enjoyed watching movies in your store. It was perfect and nice. Thank you so much!

Love it! It's intimate, not huge but big enough! Definitely stop by during the Philly festival.

Been going here for a very long time. Like the work they did to touch it up. This is a classic single screen cinema. There's a small black box upstairs. Each offers a great experience. Beer, wine and liquor available alongside popcorn. From artsy festival fare to big name blockbusters this place has it all.

This is a really cool theater. The seating is very comfortable with ample sized seats for larger folks. The screenings are all standard, I believe, so don't expect IMAX or 3d. The snack bar was small, but well stocked. Being in Center City, the prices are a bit higher than in the burbs, but it also means that your within walking distance of great restaurants, to make a well rounded date night. This theater also screens a lot of independent films so you can see a huge variety of different films.
