Bill was the best wedding photographer we could have asked for! He was super helpful, communicative, and available throughout the wedding planning process and took the time to talk with us multiple times over FaceTime, and travelled to do an engagement shoot with us. We are still in awe of our wedding photos - they are INCREDIBLE! We are so thankful we found Bill to be our wedding photographer and would recommend him to anyone who is getting married!

When I was searching for a wedding photographer, I didn't know where to begin - or even what I was looking for. A relative recommended another photographer who was booked up the weekend of my wedding, but she told me that I had to look no further than Bill and PhotoSynthesis Photography. I had an initial call with Bill early in 2023 and I knew immediately that he was the photographer we would end up retaining. Bill joined the call prepared. He had a perfect pitch, wanted to get to know me and my then-fiance, and wanted to describe his approach to photography. This set him apart from other photographers we met with. More importantly, during that initial call, I felt nothing but calm. I cannot say that about other photographers who I initially spoke with, but Bill was the picture of calm and made me feel like he had a plan, knew what he was doing, and that I wouldn't have to worry the day of. We originally were not planning to do engagement photos, but Bill recommended we do - at least to get comfortable being in front of the camera and working with him. And, in hindsight, I'm so glad that we chose to do them. They came out absolutely beautifully and Bill was able to capture who we were - not some cookie cutter version or some overly romaniticized picture of us, just us. Leading up to the big day, Bill was great. He kept in regular contact with me and was understanding of my hectic work schedule. He responded to all of my requests in a timely and efficient manner and worked with every curve ball we threw at him. Bill's common instruction is to "forget that he's there" which can sometimes be hard to do if you're a bride and know someone is following you around all day, but I managed to do it! And that's a testament to Bill's demeanor, professionalism, and skill. We got married on 11/4 and received a sneak peak of our photos days later while we were on our honeymoon. They are gorgeous. And, Bill managed to capture some of the most intimate and important moments to me and my husband. We cannot wait to see the rest of the photos! Aside from his tremendous skill with the camera (and Amanda - his second photographer's skill as well) Bill is an exceptional person. He really took the time to get to know me and my husband, allowed that to come through in our photos, and was warm to each of our family members and guests. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone looking for a photographer who is not only going to bring the photojournalistic approach to the day, but is also going to be attentive, collected, organized, and make you feel calm. Bill is the most amazing person and photographer! We hired him for both our engagement and wedding photos as they were combined in the package we selected. Anyone we show our pictures to are blown away! He is a perfectionist and a visionary and pays attention to detail. We appreciate that he was patient with us as neither my now husband and I are familiar in front of the camera. He made us feel comfortable and positioned us and made us laugh and it shows in our photos. Our guests were stunned when Bill edited photos AT the reception and had 70 photos displayed for all of us to enjoy together! His work is stunning and I’d love to work with him again in the future!

Bill was absolutely amazing with capturing our love during our engagement session & our wedding. He listened to my ideas and had some great ones of his own! He even moved a whole couch to make sure a picture came out perfect! His lovely assistant Susan put smiles on our face while talking about her kitty. The whole time it felt so natural and fun. I can't say enough great things about Bill. He was able to capture our special day so perfectly, going above and beyond anything we thought was possible. My wife and I have continually been amazed how our wedding pictures turned out. Bill was very quick to respond to any questions we had, and made the process so easy for us. He also thinks about the little things and plans ahead (like getting the exact names we want in each specific picture) to make sure we don't need to remember the small things on the big day, or feel bad for wanting one person in the picture vs another. 10/10 recommend him. Bill was absolutely amazing in all aspects of the wedding process! Before hiring him, we were able to meet with him and get an idea of what he offered. He is very on top of things and was flexible when we needed it. Day of, he and his assistant were the best and got some great shots. And the photos themselves are absolutely gorgeous, it’s hard to pick favorites because they are all so good!

If you don’t hire Bill for your wedding, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! The moment you meet Bill, you can’t help but love him. His kindness radiates. He dedicates time getting to know you as a couple, so he can best capture your personalities and unique love for one another. He’s personable, professional, and one of the kindest people in the wedding industry. He will make recommendations and suggestions to best suite your needs, but will NEVER make you feel pressured to do anything. He will work with your schedule, your budget, etc.to ensure your happiness. I don’t know any other photographer that would put so much love and care into his clients.

And on top of all of these admirable qualities, HE IS SO TALENTED! Both our engagement album and wedding album are FLAWLESS! He captured us perfectly and created a comfortable, fun environment through it all. We never felt like the camera got in the way of us just having a great time with each other. Our venue, The Glasbern, even used one of our wedding photos for their advertisement in Philly Magazine for their December issue. That’s how good Bill is… he made us look magazine worthy haha

If all of this wasn’t convincing enough for you to hire Bill, he is also an expert under time constraints and pressure. We were over an hour behind schedule on our wedding day in the morning (not because of Bill) and he was totally calm the entire time. He would gently remind us of the time without seeming panicked or pushy and would ask us in the moment what pictures were priority to be sure to capture those. He made quick adjustments to the schedule day-of and in the moment to ensure we stayed on track the rest of the day. He made us feel reassured while still executing his job skillfully. And somehow at the end of the day, we pretty much got all the photos we wanted even though we were so far behind! I have no idea how he did it! This man is a magician!

I’ll conclude with one last rave about Bill. Unfortunately, Bill had a bit of a health scare toward the end of our wedding day. Although I’m sure he was scared, he didn’t make a scene or seem panicked. He calmly and professionally pulled us aside, explained to us the situation and asked if we were comfortable with his assistant finishing the night without him. Of course we said yes and told him his health came first, but we were so impressed with the way he handled the situation! Not to mention his assistant (Joe I believe was his name) handled the rest of the night like a pro! Bill will never let you down and will always make sure you are taken care of. He and assistants are skillful, trustworthy, and will not leave you disappointed even in the most unexpected situations.

This is my second time working with Bill and he not only is professional but also a great man to just chat with. He has so much experience in the photography game you'd be hard up to find a man with his knowledge and know how. He has professional grade equipment and he always has the couples feel at ease or laughing.

If you are reading this, look no further for the most gifted and genuine photographer! The best advice I can give; moments are fleeting but photos can last a lifetime if they are captured by the right person and at the right time. My husband and I found Bill from PhotoSynthesis Photography on a list of preferred vendors from our wedding venue. A quick call with Bill and we were hooked. Bill is an exceptional human who is so charismatic and such a pleasure to work with. His calm demeanor and professionalism are just some of the traits that make Bill so amazing. After a ballsy engagement photoshoot next to a frozen waterfall, we saw a glimpse of what Bill could do with a camera and some lighting. We knew that our wedding photos were going to be great, we just were not expecting them to exceed all our expectations! They came out incredible! Unlike most photographers who try and awkwardly pose their subjects, Bill's approach is a bit different. He will guide you ever so slightly and capture a genuine moment that develops to tell a story. We opted not to book a videographer and I am glad we did not because I can look at each one of Bill's photos and feel like I am reliving all the moments of our wedding, even the moments I was not part of. Taking it one step further, Bill is a professional and gained our trust immediately. I actually let Bill drive off with an expensive wedding gift for my husband. After he left it finally hit me that Bill had already gotten paid, and I never thought twice about entrusting the gift to him to take to the venue. He did exactly as he said he would and he cares so deeply for all of his customers. I truly feel like I have known Bill for years. We cannot thank him and his assistant (s) enough for going above and beyond with our photos and for being the most authentic people. Please book him, you will not regret it!
