Piada Italian Street Food reviews
17Drink machine needed repaired, leaking into the front entrance. Full staff but slow putting orders together. Not worth the wait.
The idea is nice but the quality is lacking and the food is far too pepper. It wasn't the worst for a quick bit. It give it a chance and decide for yourself. Good luck
First time here. We stood in line for 25 minutes and didn’t move an inch. We were first in line and nobody even looked up and said “hello” or “sorry it will be a wait! ” Nothing! I don’t mind waiting but it was bizarre, there was a line out the door and the entire staff was acting like they couldn’t even see us. When someone asked “do I need to order online or do we order here at the counter…? ” The employee said “no you order here, we’re just doing other tickets” then proceeded to ignore everyone… we left. Didn’t even try the food. We went to Viva Los Tacos down the street, it was delish!
This used to be one of my favorite Oakland spots. It's still delicious, but I wish the staff would wear masks. Not a single staff person was the last time I was there, and it worries me because it suggests they don't take customer health and safety seriously.
Had a catering order for saturday for a work lunch. Ordered family CHICKEN alfredo and family MEATBALL pomodoro and a wrap box. There was NO CHICKEN OR MEATBALLS at all! Its part of the name of the dish! How do you forget that on a catering order? Giving 2 stars because what we did receive was good and delivered on time.
This is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. I come here probably twice a week and my bank account is failing because of it but I am obsessed. I recommended the Diavolo pasta or the Basil Pesto pasta. I can’t live without this place.
It's a great concept for fast casual food. While it doesn't wildly exceed one's flavor expectations like Italian meals that are more carefully prepared can do, it is quite tasty for fast preparation. The staff are friendly and helpful also. Try it to see!
Nobody working here has mask/hairnet on. I thought people should wear at least hairnet and/or a mask in these types of restaurants even before the pandemic. I always ordered ahead of time, at least 5 times a week, but they couldn't find my order twice in the past 5 days when the app tells me it's ready. Half of the food here tastes super salty. The other half is pretty good though.
And place is pretty clean. The food was pretty dang good! Only problem I had is some of the tables are uneven. Like that have little bumps. So just watch where you put your drink.
Literally had to wait for my “pickup and go. ”
There’s no breadcrumbs on the macaroni as advertised and there’s ZERO chicken or bacon in my pasta carbonara.
The chicken is $2 extra.
Calling the store gets you nowhere because no one answers. Busy or not this is ridiculous.
I want to be refunded and I will keep calling and emailing until I get my money back for this meal.
Okay, but there are way better options, especially in the area. The menu is super limited, you always wait for food, everything is super salty and spicy and the staff is rude and unprofessional. For fast food it is super overpriced, I usually get a BLT wrap and its like $13, you can go to chipotle or the wrap/salad place on campus and spend half that for way more professional and nice staff. The staff here acts like you are bothering them by walking in and ordering and food and no one has any personality. They def need customer service training!
I have eaten here 2x both times had severe indigestion but this last time was really terrible I had to wait while they made more pasta ok no problem but she dumped the old stuff into my bowl then topped it with the fresh pasta. Should have refused it but I didn’t so it was hard cold and stale. Never will go back
I have never had bad tasting food here. It's only worth it if you can score one of the discounts and don't mind a long wait.
Food is good. But never order 2 same bowls. They never give you same amount of pasta for the 2nd one, but always less in the 2nd bowl. I have ordered the same Diavolo Pasta for me and my friend. Here is what happened. No chicken fritte in the second one and the amount of pasta is less than the other one. This happened for MANY TIMES. How am I supposed to share them with my friend?
I’ve been here countless of times. My biggest complaint is the prices for the portions. You’re charged extra for meat and often will receive a very small amount. Especially if you order a piada you will receive very little inside no matter how much you select. Recently I ordered the strawberry salad with salmon and this has to be the best item on the menu with the best portion size for the price. I also recommend the lobster bisque. The food tastes great and there are plenty of options, I just wish they’d give you more for what you pay. If I’m going to pay 3$ extra for chicken, I hope that I can taste the chicken with more than 1 bite. They also include chunks of lettuce that are inedible in the salads. I understand they’re rushing with the lunch crowds, but I’d rather wait an extra 15 minutes than receive a salad with chunks I can’t eat.
This place is falling short.came for afternoon meal with a friend he ordered carbonara they had NO pancetta and didn't even offer a substitute gavevus cold alfredo sauce for our cheese sticks and no lemons for melon drink to many bodies walking around and not enough work being done.this is at 4: 30 in the afternoon and they close at 10pm carbonara is nothing without the pancetta.
Horrible service! I made an online order and got a payment confirmation email and they kept me waiting for 45 minutes at the store just to tell me my payment didn’t go through!
