This was definitely a shock to me. A quarry made into a beach area. Its all free, swimming, parking and grilling. Very clean but the bathrooms could use a little tlc throughout the day.

Great place to kayak if you just want a nice float. Bathroom facilities are clean. All around nice area with two lakes (only one has boating and no gas powered engines allowed). Also check out the view from Pole Steeple. It's a mile hike, all up hill (obviously). Take water in a backpack because you'll want both hands free in case you slip and to help you through the rocky area at the top. Don't forget your camera and some binoculars if you have them.

Love it here! Great for a picnic, a hike, kayaking, or swimming. A lovely spot to get away from it all.

Very friendly and helpful employee in the Snack Bar. Clean and well kept restrooms. Would have appreciated knowing where to fish without walking all over, but eventually found some good spots.
