It's a decent course in between Butler and Pittsburgh if you're planning to meet friends half way.

Course was well-groomed, challenging for hacks like my friends and I, and the staff was friendly.

It Has been years since I played PGH North and I was pleasantly surprised! The course overall was in excellent condition. You still need to be smart plotting your way around this layout. The greens were just the perfect speed and rolled very true. Fairways, tee boxes and traps were well taken care of. The golf cart looked and drove like new. Pins were defined red, white and blue. Front middle back. Yardage plates were all freshly painted, 200 blue, 150 white, 100 red. I will definitely be back soon! The cost to play can’t be beat for a course this good.

1) we entered the clubhouse and got yelled at by a guy who lives there (he was mentally ill so we just ignored) but no one does anything about it
2) the layout of the course is ridiculously terrible… I wish golfing was the hardest part but actually finding the next hole to go to easily wins that
3) challenging course w plenty of distances… everyone complains about the greens but they were just fine

unfortunately the negatives outweighs the positives and thus makes this course worse than North Park Golf Course

Nice course with some challenges. Some water, bunkers, very good greens, pretty well maintained. Practice green. No driving range on site. Nice clubhouse, rather modest. Gas carts. Adequate parking. Very reasonable greens fees. There are some tricky holes.

Let me begin by saying the greens were in amazing condition.
Maybe nicest greens in our area, and I usually play "higher end" public courses.
Was invited to play here this morning for $30 and figured I'd give it shot.
Layout is hilly, long, and difficult. Not a course to put a low number on.

I will never go back to this golf course. The owner allows a mentally challenged person ride around the golf course harassing all of the golfers. While playing today, he screamed obscenities at me, telling to go the **** home and never come back. He then proceeded nearly hit me with his golf cart. This isn't the first time I have had an encounter with this guy, but it will be the last. Golfers beware!

Owner should stop his son from riding around on his golf cart and constantly bothering all the golfers out

Worst golf course I ever played. Whoever maintains the course should be fired. Poor fairways, greens and the sand traps haven't been cleaned out at all. Don't get how others have rated this course so high. Wouldn't play it again if it was free.

Well maintained course! Some very challenging holes! I'd say it's a pretty challenging course with a lot of holes dogleg left. And some blind greens. Carts are probably new, they are in great shape and offer lots of storage. Friendly staff!

The owner Jack is a great guy. Parts of this course will eat you lunch if you're off a bit. Greens are always good!

Would give this zero stars if possible for the experience alone. Owner is extremely rude and allows his son to ride around on a golf cart accelerating towards and harassing customers yelling obscenities. Would not recommend anyone to attend this course if trying to enjoy a nice round of golf. When making the owner aware of his sons actions there was no apology, just told not to mind him. Terrible experience.

It's early in the season, but this course is showing signs of needing maintenance. Clover creeping into tee boxes, weeds peppering the rough. It's been well-maintained in previous years, but was disappointing in late-April this time.

Perhaps more upsetting is the pace of play on weekends. Our tee time was 10: 36 a.m. I left the 18th green at 3: 42 p.m. It felt like they overbooked the day.

Our group also witnessed an employee relieve himself on the cart path. He didn't even try to go behind a tree.

All-in-all, there are many places to book a tee time at in the area & unfortunately I'll drive further than Pittsburgh North for my next golf round.

An overall wonderful golf course. Not too expensive but actually has sand traps and ponds. I love it here

This course is underratedly difficult. Ball placement is key on the first two holes with the sloped fairways and the unforgiving second hole rough. The greens are also too slow for my liking messing up my timing. The five hole is interesting and challenging at the same time. But, the 7th hole is always trouble. I find myself needing to hit to the left of the hazard taking more strokes. Overall, I'd recommend this course if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way to play this course. Pittsburgh National, just down the road is a better golf course. It is better maintained in terms of the fairways, greens and tee boxes. The scenery is arguably superior as well. However, Pittsburgh North is still a solid course and it is ideal for golfers who want a quick round of golf since less people are on this course.

Course was nice, wish they would've started some people on the back 9 though. There was a traffic jam at hole 7 where we had 5 groups ahead of us at the hole. Some people left because they didn't want to wait any longer.
