P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant - Walbert reviews
19The place is small but boy is it big in character! Really nice to feel almost like your in an actual pub vs a concrete box! Worker Hailie was great! Attentive, friendly and funny! And cute too! Will definitely be back.
Food was great, wings were crunchy and hot. Bartender Jordan was friendly and fast with her service.
It's good food. But they are not open until 11. Very disappointed. Practically ran there 1 mile to find out at 10: 28 pm they ACTUALLY CLOSED AT 10PM.
The worst restaurant experience I've had in years. Never going back.
Their parking lot is all potholes so beware if you don't have a big car. After entering we felt unwelcome and there were no signs saying to seat yourself or wait so we had to chase down a waitress to ask.
We ordered drinks and they were lighter than Dave and Buster's. Basically paid $9 for water with some lime juice. Our waitress was unfriendly and unsanitary. Grabbing straws by the end you drink from with bare hands immediately after handling used silverware and plates.
Decided to wait out to see if the food would redeem. It did not. Wings were dry and unflavorful and both of us were still hungry after spending $40. The celery you get with the wings was also very sad. I got 3 bite-sized pieces and if I wanted more I had to pay for it.
Bathroom was also tiny. Had to stand over the urinal to wash my hands after getting sneezed on.
Family favorite in our house. Wings are always a go to for me and the service is always excellent!
Friendly service, delicious made-to-order wings, thirst quenching beers, reasonable prices. What's not to like? We also had a couple of their specials and we were not disappointed. It's basically what you should expect in a pub.
Our bartender, Hailie, was phenomenal. Highly recommend coming here if you like great food and great people.
I was there a few months ago and had no issue woth the bartender and my ID but now apparently nobody knows what a Pennsylvania ID looks like, nor do they have the proper equipment to scan an ID. It was a joke waiting around just to be told i couldn't be served but my boyfriend could be after the bar tender had to take both of our IDs to the back for her manager to tell her i couldn’t be served. I wasn't even told the reason why either, she just gave me my ID back and told me she couldnt serve me.
This has been a family favorite for somethings like 30 years. We've moved out of the area so we get there infrequently now. Dropped in this Sunday for a noon time treat of their chicken wings (hot). Cooked to order (so there's a little wait). They were hot and had the signature crispy coating. Also love how they've divided the sitting space to give folks some seating choices and privacy.
This was our second choice tonight since our regular was too busy. Glad we came in to give the place a try. Very interesting, come in and seat yourself. Dining room is small bur comfortable. Food was hot and good, fries were ok!
Peanut butter pie you must try. Had chicken cheese steak.
Pay by qr code actually works too. No issues paying bill with my phone.
Stumbled upon this gem off the beaten track. Loved the quaint atmosphere and good food. Definitely a place I will return to.
Utterly fantastic. A little crowded for my taste but truly fantastic. The people were great the help were great but I did have one problem. The bartender. A young blonde female acted very stuck up to several guests. That I did not appreciate. The older the person she served the more stuck up she was. And those people were not hitting on her they were just ordering the drink. Or a refill. That is the one thing that really troubled me. If you're going to hire somebody make sure they do not think of themselves better than anybody else because she definitely did and I noticed it several times. I am no better than her or anyone else and I will not treat myself as such because I am an equal to them no matter what age and those people that she treated was not right. I'm sure she is quite nice but not night but I saw was not nice. If you're going to hire somebody to be in the people business make sure they do not discriminate against anyone race religion whatever. But other than that the food was fantastic and I like PJs.
Was expecting the menu to be the same as the location off schoenersville Rd, was not, orders a turkey burger, it was horrible, Was definitely a frozen burger, not fresh! Very disappointing! Also this location seems more like a pizza joint
Great place to get wings. Price isn't too expensive and the wings are big. You can also sit outside, which is nice. Never had a bad meal here
I never had a problem till last nite 4/12/2022 I ordered 10 wings and 10 shrimp totally plain with hot and honey sauce on the side and then she asked if I want ranch are blue cheese I said blue cheese, I went and picked up and paid and came home and the sauce was mixed in with my food not on the side like I asked so now grandkids and my wife can't have any so I called and told her about it and she said I was telling her to notix the blue cheese in with my food so lol lol who ever mixes the blue cheese in before giving the food to customer shouldn't be working in the food business and than told me to bring food back and they make me new food instead o of saying g sorry I messed up and the next time u come give your name and we will stand good for it nope gotta drive another 20 min and eat at 8 pm. Never will I go there again very rude staff
We go there a lot for Sunday lunch. Service is relatively quick, food is good, cozy environment, clean bathrooms. No complaints.
Had dinner in the bar. Typical neighborhood bar. Wonderful service by a very friendly bartender. I had delicious fish tacos and my husband had tasty ribs. We have been here a few times and always enjoy it. Great little spot!
First bad meal since I have been going to pjs.
I ordered Chicken taco. The chicken was literally burnt, cold and not chewable. Had no flavor. The fish and shrimp tacos are excellent. The chicken tacos were awful. The waitress took them back and brought me a re-do order and I got exactly the same awful order. Very disappointed. I have been eating there since PJs opened years ago. That item was a special. However, it was no special.
We came here after skiing at blue mountain. Very old fashioned pub, with wonderful food. The salad, PJ burger, and salmon are awesome. The staff here are really helpful and friendly.
