Planet Fitness, Malvern PA

If you don't know where this Planet Fitness is, you might miss it - they really need to add a sign to driveway entrance, because it looks like you're entering a trucking company parking lot.

This PF is like pretty much all other PFs, so watch any YouTube review to get an idea of what you're getting. This location seems to have less space reserved for the amenities, but it is a little smaller a gym compared to others, so I think equipment is maybe a little less.

Having said that, this PF is the least frequented location of the handful I've visited, so you shouldnt have any issues with trying to get a machine you're interested in. As a bonus, it does seem to be cleaner than other gyms (not just PF, though not as clean as the West Chester LA fitness (I still try to clean before and I always clean after use).

My one issue is that three of the "black card spa" amenities are in booths, not rooms (the two vertical tanning beds and the total body enhancement) and for some reason they do not keep cleaner and paper towels in there. Id appreciate the addition of hand sanitizer in case you forget before going in the booth. In a perfect world, the booths would also be a little bigger.

Before going to this location, I had only ever seen hydromassage beds. This location has them, but rather than being a "bed" its more like a lounge chair. I like it, still gets the job done! (side note: the other day I went there and it sounded like a couple might be arguing in the next room? Once the bed turned on, the sound of the water completely drowned them out! Experience is very relaxing and is really good after a tough workout - I had a session with a personal trainer elsewhere, still drove to PF after to use the hydro massage and my back was not sore the next day, but the front of my thighs were - post workout massage is definitely worth it!)

Never sign up with planet fitness! They are a scam! They will not let you cancel! Please save yourself. By this i mean they make it ridiculously hard to cancel. And have horrible customer service.

Does not adhere to guidelines. There are multiple people every time I am there not wearing masks. Groups of people even. I walked in and walked out today because there we 4 people with no masks on the crowded floor. It is frustrating and a shame. I have been to this location about 6 times and every time there are people on the weight floor not wearing masks.

I know it is not medical conditions because I have been to other locations and it is not the same.

I don’t have a choice as to whether or not I get to be careful. It is frustrating that I can’t use the gym because the rules are not enforced.

I reached out to the owner about members not wearing masks. Their front desk staff try their hardest.but unfortunately, people are rude. I reached out to the owner who hid behind the excuse that people may have medical conditions.

That is NOT why people weren't wearing their masks. They put it on when asked and then took it off when the staff walked away. You should suspend people who consistently do that to set a precedent.

The gym is 5 stars for me but I'm giving it 1 due to the lack or precautions being taken to ensure members wear their masks. Happy to change it if I see progress but the attitude of shrugging it off doesn't sit well with me. Covid-19 is airborne more than it is transmitted through touch, you spraying down machines does nothing if people walk around without masks.

Great place, staff and all the customer's I've been on contact with are nice, respectful and professional. Does the Lancaster Avenue PF have rowing machines?

Open 24 hours, staff is friendly, facility is clean. They recently upgraded every single machine. They must have over 100 machines in here. Showers, tanning options and Monday night provided if you want it. Trainers are available. The only thing missing is you!

I have been going to this location for about six years, and the customer service has been at a steady decline. Staff use profane language at the front desk, and offer a lack of viable advice about membership information. People shouldn't go to the gym and leave more stressed than before wondering why they don't get professionalism they pay for.

The bathrooms are gross—there is literal mold and dust in the paper towel dispensers—how does that happen?

I always hope the next planet fitness i go to will be better than the last one i went to but i'm learning slowly that every planet fitness sucks in its little own way. They have a billion treadmills and the weights are crammed in a small corner where you get to lift weights while rubbing sweaty shoulders with strangers. Yuck. They are cheap for a reason so i do not expect much. Just know that if you join do not plan on going to a gym that is not packed to the rafters with people.

This place is ok but I have to say that there is equipments that need attention! Some of seats on equipment are loose and need fasting some of the equipment make noise they need lubrication please management take care of these issues asap

Still haven't been to a PF that has good wifi, yet. Which sucks since I use a tablet for entertainment during workouts. Regular gyms have good wifi.

Great gym, good staff, the patrons are friendly and their equipment is clean! Parking is a bit of a nightmare but hit the gym at odd times! They're open 24/7!

MOST machines are OLD and many are frequently broken for weeks. The vast majority are NOT calibrated evenly so every machine functions differently which can cause injury and a poor workout.

The parking is too small, is dark/dangerous walking or driving. The entrance from Lancaster Avenue has NO lighting making it dangerous as well especially turning eastbound. Both are accidents waiting to happen.

The same owners own other local PF franchises with NEW and better equipment (West Chester, Downingtown, Phoenixville) but they refuse to update and replace equipment or even repair them timely or properly in Malvern.

I will be more happy when they introduce group classes at better timings other than that the equipment is in good condition, very spacious and helping staff.

Great workout, available equipment, spacious and the staff was friendly and exercised professionalism.
