Planet Fitness, Castle Shannon PA

This specific gym like taking money from people. I canceled my membership is nov of 2019 because I got very ill and was needed to live out of the area and was not charged from nov 2019-June 2020. Then July comes and i am being charged again now they claim I never canceled and said the charges were justified.
Edit: the manager who I won’t say by name was also very rude and condescending, just telling me I was wrong instead of listening and working with me. I will never use any planet fitness every again after this because this seems to be a problem with these gyms.

Convenient, cheap, clean, but not much else. For 95% of people this gym is enough. Or I could go to other mt Lebo gyms and pay $60/month for some nicer equipment and a "class" in spin or lifting. If you know your routine come here if you need 40 other suburban housewives to compete against for motivation, go to most other gyms in the area.

Terrible customer service, I moved out of state during pandemic while the gyms were closed. Planet fitness location are still closed near me altho it opened up in PA. I called them to cancel the gym membership since I no longer live there and ask them to refund the money back. Planet Fitness is still closed near me. Manager told me she can't refund even tho I no longer live there and gyms are still closed near me. Poor customer service. Don't even worth arguing with manager for $20, she's very stubborn.

There’s a random dude, old guy, walking around mask-policing this locations customers, unstopped by the team members, Jack in particular. When my frustration was voiced to this particular employee, and his team member whose name I forget, I was met with literal eye rolls from Jack. I asked him if he was bored with my complaining. He proceeded to roll his eyes again. Yeah, real mature. Real top drawer employees. Of course there was no manager around.

I really like the set up of this gym. They’re missing some important equipment though. I wish that had a free weight leg press. It’s always clean, the staff is friendly and things are never broken.

I went today to the Mt. Lebanon location of Planet Fitness for second time after the club reopened its doors for clients.
What an incredible disappointment I met from the stuff. Many people on the back weren't wearing their masks on their faces. Majority had them around their necks? !? Oblivious and ignorant, right? Well, when one lady passed me by twice without ANY mask on her face nor her neck (at least to had one out of shame or respect for others), I raised my voice to the stuff. The manager, Marissa, said that she can't do anything about it because there are people with medical conditions. My question to her was if she requests a medical card for prove. Answer was no.
Nobody is wearing their masks in the back section of the fitness club. The state should pay them a visit and they should just shut down the club for not complying with the requirements.

Its incredibly small compared to othera in the local area, but the staff was friendly. The whole building feels very cramped.

I rate this gym so high because of the trainer, Forest. He is challenging, keeps it fun and always provides modifications so all can participate.

Great gym. Clean. A little too clean as the staff cleans during peak time it seems. Bathrooms are very adequate. Staff is friendly. Asked a few questions about the equipment that they didnt know however. Decent amount of machines for the number of clients. Music is played at a favorable volume. Trainers seem knowledgeable if that is something you are going for. Havent seen the black card area as i am a basic member.

Good value for a fitness facility. Good equipment and well maintained. Usually crowded and parking is difficult.

The gym is well staffed and maintained. The of the equipment is clean and works well. The only issue is it can get busy and the parking directly infront of the building is quick to fill.

Not the biggest gym but they do have plenty of machines to keep me busy. This place is always very clean. They also keep it nice and cool inside. Not a very good selection on the tv so i recommend bringing headphones to listen to music

Are usually come to the gym late evening night and it is always well-maintained and clean stuff there it is very pleasant and assist you with any of your needs I would definitely recommend this gym to everyone very welcoming environment and a large selection of TV channels to watch from while working out which I think is awesome

Gets pretty busy during peak hours (4ish-630ish) with long waits for equipment, but if you can go outside of those then there is almost never a wait.

Friendly staff, VERY CLEAN facility, good selection of machines (cardio and weights). The hydro massage bed? Oh man, AAAAMMAAAZZZING! Worth the extra $$$ a month lol

Charged me 3 times for an annual fee, asked for a refund and they said they would have to send it to me in the mail and could take a month to get mailed out.

I said "f u" and went to my bank to do a chargeback. Now I'm banned from a PF account: D

Just buy free weights, a medicine ball, and a treadmill, that's all the gym you need.

The staff is never anywhere to be found after 9, so if you pay for black car services and come later in the day, dont expect to be able to take advantage of them.

It's a nice gym. Smaller then expected. In January it's too full to get a real workout in. Nice equipment though. They have the standing and lay down tanning beds, hydrotherapy massage beds, massage seats, red light therapy standing thing. Treadmills, arc trainers, regular and recumbent bikes plus a few full sets of machines and free weights. They have lockers and changing rooms too. No complaints other than the crowds in the early part of the year.

First time going and it was pretty nice! There weren't many people, the employees were very kind, and everything was very clean! I really wish this gym was closer because I'd get a membership in a heartbeat! $20/month is a great price!

I've been going for about a month now, so far so good. Clean, lots of machines. I only do cardio, so I can't speak to the weights. Men's locker room is always clean. Everyone seems to clean their machine when finished. For my purposes (training for half marathon) this place fits the bill just fine.
