Plato's Closet Broomall

Rude staff. They didn’t even check my bag of clothes because they told us it was going to take 2 1/2 hours but they texted us to come back in 15 minutes. Don’t come here!

Horrible. They didn’t great us when we walked in the door. Cool. But as we were shopping thru greated 5 people of none color loudly as they came in the door. I paused and then put everything back. Will not be returning.

Everytime I bring clothes in, they tell me they aren’t in style and don’t buy anything. When I take it to clothing mentor or another place, they buy stuff. Very picky place. And their selection isn’t anything i would buy.

Walked in with 2 bags full of clothes that had tags and were barely worn. Abercrombie items that I bought less than 3 months ago. They took nothing from my bags. They told me that the Abercrombie tags were old and they no longer take older tags. Mind you the dress I had in the bag was still on the Abercrombie website. I decided to go to Plato’s in paoli and they took a lot of items. Broomall Plato’s should be closed for good.

Horrifically rude employees! They “ lost“ several items that I had dropped off for sale! They returned all the items they didn’t want all dumped into bins. They damaged some of the clothes I had dropped off for consideration! And ignorant! They don’t know who Stella
McCartney is! Terrible place! Avoid it like the plague.

I really like this shop! They had plenty of nice tops and sweaters, the prices may be a little high for some, but a lot of the merchandise had original tags on and others were in mint condition, I wound up getting a really nice cardigan and my daughter selected a ring for only $2.00. Will definitely shop there again!

The cashier with the tattoos, very long nails and dark hair…she was the nicest part of this experience. Everything else was a nightmare. This place is a mess. Will definitely never go back to this location.

I only sold clothes here and did not see anything I wanted to buy. I brought in 4 large bags and took home about 3.5 bags. The store paid $37 for an assortment of items. This store is reasonably staffed, has a text service to notify when you can collect your items, and is in a mall with other stores that you can browse while waiting.

This seems to be an over priced thrift store. The prices were the same as the stores and actually more when there are sales. I won't be going back.

Nice place, nice inventory. However the “authentication process” needs to be better. I shouldn’t have to wait an hour for someone to answer a phone to authenticate an item. It’s a deters me from wanting to bring my items when I have other things to do.

I was low balled and then the two workers at the time attempted to disrespect my sister. Extremely rude and racist

I actually had a great experience at this location, honestly better than other ones. The staff greeted me when I came in. They let me know an update on my order and for the first time ever I think I got a decent amount of cash back for my items.

Been coming here for years and never had a problem with any of the ladies working there. My original review was glowing and had five stars up until recently. The guy working at the counter got nasty because I put my stuff on the side like the ladies always told me to do for the last few years. I told him that they were heavy and put them on the counter anyways despite my temporary medical condition that day. He had the nerve to get an attitude because he could not lift them to take them down from the counter. After the buy he was just throwing them down with an attitude. As I was picking up my items he tossed around, he pushed the stack of their bins to where it hit my head. He did not even apologize when I mentioned it to him. I called a few days later because they did not give me the points for my sell or my purchase and he gave an attitude indicating that he was the store manager and did not have to do anything about it. I mentioned this to a few colleagues at other Plato's and they said they ALL had a problem with this specific employee and that they shop at Clothes Mentor now just because of him.
Definitely recommend going to another Plato's if you can. No point dealing with his aggressive assulting attitude if he continues to work there. I will be bringing my items to Uptown. They pay better, and have sold out of all of the items I brought them. They ask me to come back often and are pleasant to their customers at Uptown.

No matter what, they find excuses not to buy your clothes. I had a practically brand new Under Armour hoodie that probably cost $80 - no bites. They are out of their tree. They don't know how to run a business.

I had the worst experience at this location. I watched as people who walked in after me had their buys completed before mine (these individuals had 3+ bags as well
Whereas I was only selling one.) To make matters worse 9pm came around and I still had not received any text message whatsoever letting me know that the guy was complete, like the young woman at the counter had told me would happen. This is extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I will not be selling here again.

Worst place in the world don't go to this place they buy 110$ nike sweatpants for 12.00$ and never told me they were buyingthem they showed me 1 pair of addidas sweats and a pair of jeans I brought in and they said they'd only buy that stuff so I thought my black Nike sweats were in my bag come to find out they took them and never said they were purchasing them onbro they lucky I'm a bigger person
