Plaza Azteca, Plymouth Meeting PA

We experienced the absolute worst service here. Even though I had booked our event weeks ago, the restaurant was completely unprepared and uninterested in our group. The waitress ignored us for incredibly long periods of time and appeared to have absolutely no interest in taking care of us. I've never been treated so poorly. She totally ruined the event for me and I would never, ever go back.

We enjoyed our dinner there tonight. We were seated right away to my surprise as it was busy. They have plenty tables inside and outdoor dining option.
Their prickly pear margarita is good. We thoroughly enjoyed their table side guacamole and the chips were fresh out the oven. Dinner entree were delicious as well. Their tres leches was different but delicious which composed of a mini 2 layered cake with peaches inside. We will be back whenever we are craving Mexican food.

This is my favorite resturant of all time. I’ve been going here with my dad since i was little and its the best mexican food. I was in Mexico recently and some of the food still didn’t compare to azteca!

I’ve been treating myself to this place about once or twice a year since I moved to the city. When I lived in the burbs I frequented this place a lot and when its sister restaurant Salsa’s used to be in the Montgomery Mall. I can say especially in the last two years this place has gone down hill tremendously. It makes me really sad too. I really wanted to love my food last night but honestly it was just gross. It was greasy slop. The grilled shrimp tacos used to be beautiful. Nice fluffy jumbo shrimp cut up topped with queso and pico. Now it’s a stock pile of baby shrimp slopped in grease painfully covered with some kind of cheddar cheese and a greasy mess. The black beans look like they came out of a dog food can. The rice was super dry. I ate one taco and couldn’t stomach anymore. The white salsa has turned into a pile of mayo and relish mixed together it seems like. It used to be delicious l. My favorite meal and treat to myself for over 8 years now. You guys raised your prices but the food quality is absolutely awful now.

I really wanted to enjoy plaza azteca more than I did. Upon arrival I was not greeted by the host well. After stating I had arrived to join my party he just blankly stared and said 'what? ' strike one. It took a little while to get our server to take our drink and food orders, however it was busy. We ordered the housemate guacamole which I highly recommend however it didn't arrive until after our meals. There was also a slight wait for the drinks but again it was busy. Upon receiving my meal i felt it what's too salty. I ordered beef empanadas as a replacement which were piping hot on the outside and Stone Cold on the inside. I'm glad the restaurant removed them from the bill however I'm not sure if I will be returning. But if you do visit try the tres leches and prickly pear margarita.

The ceviche is exquisite, I had never enjoyed that flavor, congratulations to the restaurant and its staff, we were served by a girl named Belén and she was professional and friendly, I visited them for the first time, I am from Guatemala and I gladly recommend the restaurant.

Great Mexican restaurant. Food is great. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Interior decor is beautiful. The ceviche appetizer is delicious and big enough to share for two. I highly recommend it if you like seafood. Someone will come by your table and prepare the ceviche right in front of you. Please note that there is a tip jar on the cart they use to prepare the ceviche. They provide complimentary salsa and chips upon seating. The manager walked by tables, checking on customers to see if they were having a great experience, which is always nice to see no matter where you are. The manager is friendly and funny.
My only complaint is that we were not greeted right away. It took us between 5 and 7 minutes for someone to stop by. The restaurant did seem busy and crowded but that should not excuse for the amount of time we waited. Our server was friendly.
We enjoyed our food. The portions are a good size. I would recommend this place.

The food was excellent, they were understanding and accommodating about dietary restrictions. Get the table side Guac! It's the best! We had a large group and we came without reservations and they accommodated us with no problem.

There are too many people, many times they forget to serve you, but without a doubt the food is exquisite.

The food was good. My service was awesome however my friends and I got food poisoning and it lasted for days. I'm a little upset because I love this place but definitely will not be returning because of that.

The drinks are sooooo good, especially on a hot summer day. Try the Prickly Pear Margarita and the tableside made guacamole. Portions are a good size!

My daughter and I went there for the first time for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, it was really good. The menu provides a great deal of variety. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had a burrito and my daughter had fajitas. Neither of us could finish our plates. You get a nice amount of food. Service was great and the atmosphere was inviting. We can't wait to go back to try other dishes.

First time there since Covid began. Easily the best Mexican food and best Margaritas within a 30 minute drive.

House margarita was awesome, chips came out fresh and the salsa was delicious with a kick!
I got enchiladas rancheras and my partner got birria tacos. Both came out piping hot and huge servings, the rice and beans were delicious and the meat was flavorful and moist.
Can’t wait to come back, the menu is HUGE and there are some great deal opportunities if you go at the right time
