I called my pharmacy a week ago for my birthcontol and they said the script needed to be refilled and they would reach out to my doctor. A week later and I haven’t heard back from anyone. I called my pharmacy and they said they haven’t heard back from my doctor and advised me to call, so I did. It seems that every time I call Dr. Plucknetts office they are on lunch and I am asked to leave a message with no call back in the end. I am extremely frustrated as I am running out of my prescription and can’t even talk to someone…

I saw her several years ago and she performed a hysterectomy through a robotic type of surgery. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Plunknett has always been wonderful, which is why she has been my doctor for over 15 years. Recently, I had an appt and someone from her office called me to reschedule telling me that Dr. Plunknett was out that week. So I rescheduled the appt for the week after. I show up and was told that Dr.was not in! They told me I missed my appt from the week before! What? ! I have NEVER not shown for any appt! I leave a message for the doctor explaining that someone from their office made a mistake. I just got a bill for a No Show appt which has me furious b/c it was THEIR mistake! I don't make it a point to just show up any date and time for appts. Plus I don't live close by and with the price of gas, I wouldn't have just wasted my time and money. Someone from their office is a liar and not owning up to their mistake and now they are trying to collect money from me. Ridiculous.

In short, if you are the slightest bit unhappy or not confident in the level of care from Dr. Plucknett and her staff, I urge you to seek a second opinion like I did. If I hadn't I would have had an unnecessary D&C (a surgical procedure in the hospital under general anesthesia to remove tissue from the uterus).

If you care to read the long background: I was told that I had to make an appointment (more money for them) to discuss my ultrasound results. I pressed and asked why couldn't they tell me the results over the phone, epically since their ultrasound technician told me TWICE that she did not see any polyps in my uterus. After going back forth with the very rude office staff, Dr. Plucknett answered the phone and was even more rude than her staff. She explained that they schedule follow-up ultrasound appointments with all of their patients despite the results (again, more money in her pocket) but that I did have a polyp. Confused, I said what does this mean? Her response, "Well don't you think that's why we make you come in? " Her website preaches compassionate care and it is the furthest thing from that. I went in for the follow-up appointment with the NP, Amanda, who I will say I had never had an issue with before. In fact, I preferred seeing her over Dr. Plucknett because she actually spends time with her patients. In the 7-minute long appointment, Amanda explained that I did have a polyp. I of course was confused since the technician (whether she was right or wrong in saying so) was SO confident she did not see any polyps. I asked where the polyp was and how big it was. She could not answer either question. She didn't bring the imaging in, just the report and said the next step would be to have a D&C to remove the polyp and send it to pathology to make sure it was benign. I asked about further imaging, especially since I was not having symptoms and she couldn't tell me adequate information about said polyp. She said they could do that, but there really is no point. I asked to see the report she was holding and she handed it to me. It read "Normal size uterus. Normal endometrial thickness, but possible polyp noted. " Stunned, I said, "so wait a second.you want to operate on me for a POSSIBLE polyp? " She said yes, the next step will be the D&C. I said, I am getting a second opinion. On my way out, I asked the office staff for my medical records, including the imaging from the ultrasound. The Office Manager explained they didn't have the technology to provide me the imaging on a disc or USB, but she would see if they could photo copy them. It's 2022.

I had a wonderful appointment with a Dr.in Lehigh Valley who was astonished by my experience to date. Side note: she also could not believe Dr. Plucknett wanted to repeat my Pap every 3 months from an irregular, low grade Pap. (Again.more money!). She explained this goes against strict guidelines given by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. For the "possible polyp" she scheduled me for further testing and explained she would never suggest doing a D&C based on the report. I went for the Saline infusion sonohysterography and not only did I NOT need to make an appointment to discuss the results, but they were given to me at the time of the appointment. The results? I do not have a polyp. Nothing. Completely clear. No follow-up needed.

With all of this said, PLEASE consider a second opinion or care from an actual compassionate practice. Lehigh Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology were wonderful and they have multiple offices.

I’ve been going to Dr Plucknett for almost a decade. Her front office team was always friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately that has changed. The girl who answered the phone was just rude. She gave me the incorrect code to pass on to my insurance company. My insurance company called the office on my behalf and was told “I already have her the code” when they explained it was the wrong code she put them on hold, came back with the correct code and hung up. I don’t feel welcome going there anymore.

Absolutely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The office was referred to me by a woman I worked with and I couldn’t be happier. Amanda is amazing and Dr Plunknett is the most compassionate gynecologist I’ve been to. I would highly recommend.

Such a pleasure to have people who care about your treatment. Personable, kind and knowledgeable women, who handle each patient from the time you walk in the door until your treatment is complete. Dr. Plucknett truly listens to her patients’ concerns and care.

I used to see Tina, and she was absolutely wonderful. Since Tina left, I've been seeing Dr. Plucknett, and I have not been impressed at all. She rushes through appointments as quickly as possible and does not even bring the chart (laptop) in the room with her during the appointment. I asked a question last time I visited (during my ONE annual visit) about some health concerns and she barely responded, although did manage to note that my past bloodwork could provide some clues as to what was going on-a question that she easily could have answered herself had she brought my chart in the room. But she didn't, and that was it. There is absolutely zero follow-up on any past concerns and I feel like every time I visit, it might as well be the first time. Even if I have had tests done related to an ongoing issue-tests that should be repeated annually-if I don't bring it up, it's completely forgotten about and never mentioned again. I honestly feel like they don't even look at patient charts and Dr. Plucknett never seems to care at all.

I just called recently to schedule an appointment, and I don't know who answered the phone but she could've been nicer that's why I gave 4 stars. Other than that I absolutely adore Amanda, she listens to you and you could actually talk to her without being rushed. She understood where I was coming from about my problems. She has compassion. I met with the Dr once for a exam, I didn't mind, I am hoping Amanda stays on,

Absolutely amazing and kind staff! I go to college near here and was going through an extremely painful outbreak. I was panicked and about 3 hours from home. I called to make an appointment and they took me the same day. They just could see on my face I was in pain and needed help and these women were nothing short of amazing! They were just what I needed and they have no idea! And when I call and need prescriptions refilled they are so kind, helpful, and patient. I cannot thank them enough!

Dr. Plucknett is wonderful, she treats you as a person, not as a number.
Dr. Plucknett is the most caring, emphatic, professional doctor that I have ever seen. It's so easy to communicate with her. She is easy going and a wonderful human being, I follow her wherever she practices her medical service. Her new office is beautiful and everyone who works with her is very professional and friendly. They all take the time to do a very good service. I highly recommend Dr. Plucknett. Thank you Dr. Plucknett for taking care of my bladder. Now, I feel than having a new one.

Dr. Plunkett was very compassionate and very helpful, explained everything about my procedure. Also Amanda is exceptionally nice and explains everything. Would recommend both to all my friends

The most disorganized office in town. If you need surgery because of endemotriosis, ovarian cyst or blocked fallopian tubes find a PROFESSIONAL they won't fix the problem because they are unprepared exposing you to Covid19 by pushing a second surgery and not to mention a horrendous sore throat for 18 days from intubation they hurted my voice box and uvula nothing to do with what I was there for nor what I sign for. I heard from other offices in Town several patients ran away from this office because of the same reason they don't care about people you are just a ATM Easy Cash to them.

I left a negative review earlier and I am editing the review in order for it to reflect how I feel now. Staff reached out to me to resolve the situation which I greatly appreciate. I was treated well and with respect by the staff I spoke to about the situation. I still think one of the receptionists needs to improve her patient management skills because she hung up on me mid-conversation this morning while scheduling an appointment and I don’t feel comfortable excluding that even though the situation was resolved. I wouldn’t want someone else to feel how I felt this morning when that happened to me. The medical staff is extremely knowledgeable and they helped me with deciding what form of birth control I wanted and they helped me get an appointment that fit with my busy schedule. They are understanding and accepting of my identity and beliefs. I don’t feel like I’m being judged or that I’m overreacting about a health concern when I’m talking to my healthcare provider. I am taken seriously and I feel respected. I would go there again. I feel like the doctor and medical staff care about their patients and I appreciate that they were accommodating. I’m thankful that they are still working now too despite the pandemic so I’d like to say thank you to everyone at the office as well for being able to see patients and trying to help them out!

I had posted a positive review in the past stating how I didn’t understand how this place could have bad reviews. I now realize why this place has bad reviews. They did nothing to help me. Their office is limited with testing and they said they cannot help me, I’ offered to get third-party testing that needed the doctor’s signature, she refused. She had offered me remedies that completely contradicted the symptoms I was having. I’m sure anywhere else I go could help me better than this place.

If you are planning to be a new patient and are expecting to be examined by Dr. Plucknett on your first visit, her policy is you must see one of her nurse practitioners first. I have always been given an option at my previous dr. ’s and always politely decline. I’m personally not comfortable having a gynecological exam by a non dr and especially since, I’m sure, I’ll be charged doctor prices. If you can get past this, this doctor was recommended to me by a friend who’s daughter is a patient and really likes her. I’m rating her based on her policy.
