Wonderful people, wonderful service! Have used Pocono Biking a couple of times now for shuttle service and I'm a happy returning customer. Phone reservations are a breeze, folks in the shop are helpful and friendly, they keep to their schedule as promised. A special shout-out to Bert the shuttle driver, who makes the trip to the trailhead quite the amusing adventure all its own! I'll be back for another visit to Pocono Biking as soon as I can!

Overall a pretty good experience. We reserved bikes for the 15 mile trip at Jim Thorpe. Easy check in and cute store with lots of items. We were not given any instructions about the bike in terms of ways to adjust the seat or change gears. I guess they assume everyone knows how to do that. Several of our bikes had seats that twisted or slowly lowered on their own so we made multiple stops to adjust them. And we heard others complaining about this as well.
The ride was nice and stayed next to the river. Several stopping points with picnic tables along the way. There are no bathrooms during the ride so use it where they drop you off. Very easy path to follow and just a perfect fall day.

Overall my experience was good me and my fiancé opted for the 25 mile ride. The bus ride was an adventure alone speeding on the backroads had me somewhat nervous since our bikes were on a hitch behind. (we brought our personal bikes for the trail)

Unfortunately I have to take 2 stars off after receiving my bike and heading off into the trail we stopped to get some photos. After looking at my bike I notice a major chunk of the paint had been taken off. This may not seem like a big deal to others, but I’ve had the bike maybe 2 months tops ($1,300 per bike)

Gina provided us with a trail map and explained where the trail was closed near White Haven. She also encouraged us to keep riding passed Jim Thorpe and explained breaks in the trail at Weissport and Bowmanstown. They also have great t-shirts and bike gear. Stop by if you are in Jim Thorpe!

My husband and I rent bike from Pocono Biking, Jim Thorpe. The staff was great. From the rental to the transportation they explained where they would let us off and gave us maps of the trails. They were informative and friendly.

Great experience, but I give 4 stars as they made me pay for my 11months daughter (traveling with me on a child seat).

I was paired with a child size bike with weak rear brakes. There were many nicer bikes lined up on the exterior wall but I guess those are for show. The school bus shuttle went 20 miles per hour OVER POSTED SPEED LIMITS. When I commented, he went faster! I really resent that Bertha no respect for safety. The ride to the drop off was an hour. We have rented from here a couple times. This will be the last time.

Before we left home in upstate NY this morning we noticed my wife's front brake was stuck on. We got to Jim Thorpe and went to Pocono biking. Kyle fit us right in even though he was very busy. He even adjusted the rear brake. We went for a cup of coffee and when we came back the bike was ready. Can't say enough about Kyle's service and professionalism.

Fantastic trip!
30 minute shuttle to White Haven and then a 3.5 hour trek down to Jim Thorpe (including several stops to see the waterfalls, locks, and beautiful views). I have not ridden a bike in at least 12 years and found this a very manageable trail, although I am a bit sore.
Very well organized and will definitely be back!

4 Day D&L Trail Bike Trip

My husband & I just returned from our trip (Oct 2022). We booked with Sierra, she was lovely to work with & efficient. Our tour guides, Doug & Kyle, we’re attentive, knowledgeable, fun, hard working, & Johnny on the spot when issues came up.
The trails are mostly dirt or gravel. I wouldn’t recommend a road bike. Parts of the trail around Easton Pa are a work in progress. The hotels, break stops, & food are terrific. It’s a good value. We had very dicey weather-which is just part of biking-one day so our pace was a bit quicker then. You will be sore even if you are an occasional biker but are pretty active. Reserve an E bike if you have any hesitation. We had regular mountain bikes but did fine. We had someone get injured, which again can happen in outdoor activities. Our guides were very compassionate, present, and handled the situation well. We had a lively and fun group to bike with. There was a range of abilities but it worked. I would highly recommend the trip. We loved it!

My husband and I went on the biking trip with the shuttle. We rented bikes. Mine had issues that had to be addressed by my husband while riding. The handle bars were so low that I couldn’t attach the basket we rented to the bike. We noticed the issue when we arrived at our destination but the driver didn’t have the tools to fix the handlebars.
The trail was beautiful. The trees overhead kept the temperature pleasant. The river often gave us a pleasant breeze. We were able to enjoy waterfalls and other beautiful scenes. And the other bikers were so friendly.
Before you go on a trip, check your bike carefully.

Great bike ride. Excellent service. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, bit well worth it.

This is a first rate place with great service. We’ve used the shuttle service a couple of times. My husband got a flat tire on his own bike on the trail. After a call to the store, an ebike came up with a rental bike and his bike was brought back for repair. By the time my husband got to the bottom his bike was completely fixed. Can’t say enough about the great service and reasonable rates.

We rented 4 bikes for the 25-mile ride and we’re shuttled to the start. We had a great time and the staff was friendly. Make sure to get a comfortable bike seat!

I drove from Vermont to meet a friend and bike here. As advised, I arrived at Pocono Biking at 10: 30 for an 11: 00 shuttle reservation, only to discover that there is no parking at the shop. (This was not disclosed on their website, nor when I made my reservation by phone, nor in their confirmation email.) You can’t even pull into their driveway for help because it’s blocked by shuttles. Unfamiliar with the streets, I attempted to drive around the block, got lost, and finally called them to ask about parking. They said to use the county lot on the way into town. By the time I navigated back to the lot, found a space, and ran back to the bike shop, it was 11: 01 and my shuttle had left. It had to have left early because I did not see it pull out as I ran up to the building.
Worse, my friend was on the shuttle and they told her they would wait for me, then pulled out.
This experience utterly ruined my vacation and our time together. I am incensed. This is no way to do business. Judging from the Google comments, I am not the first person this has happened to. The manager was callous and unapologetic, which further infuriated me. Even in their responses to review complaints, they deflect blame (“are you sure it wasn’t our competitor? ”) and blame the customers.
In my case, the whole thing could have been avoided if it had been made clear that they did not have on-site parking.

Decent place to visit, has train rides, bike trail, canoeing, beautiful houses to look around. Bit expansive however worth it. Overall had a good experience.

Very much recommend using Pocono Biking when biking the Lehigh Gorge Bike Trail. The staff were overall friendly, but our driver Bert was definitely our favorite! Just a note that they do require masks to get on the shuttle. If you don't have one, it's just $1 for a disposable one at their shop.

We wanted to choose the day with the best possible weather, so we called on Sunday to reserve 2 shuttle spots for Tuesday. We were unable to get our first choice of 10 am, but snagged 2 spots at noon, which still worked out well for us. We took our own bikes, so I can't speak to how the bike rental process goes, but they treated our bikes like their own and even tightened a few things up on them when we got to White Haven.

I do recommend leaving plenty of buffer time from when you arrive in Jim Thorpe as you may have to park a distance away and need time to pay at a kiosk for parking before heading over to Pocono Biking. I will note that we noticed less crowded kiosks to pay for parking outside of the parking lot AFTER we waited:) We arrived in Jim Thorpe around 11: 20 am and my husband got to Pocono Biking by 11: 50 am after paying for parking and riding his bike over.

We did the 25 mile ride and arrived back in Jim Thorpe around 4 pm, and enjoyed dinner at Molly Maguires (next door to Pocono Biking).

Great experience, well informed by staff as to what to expect on the trail. Peaceful, scenic. Be back for a fall ride for sure.
