Pottstown Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

This supposed skilled nursing home needs to be shut down. The person comes in trying to get better but due to neglect worsens day by day. Now they are stealing the patient's food, and I'm talking about the MEAT. All family members and friends need to watch for this happening to their loved ones. It happened to my friend at another nearby skilled nursing facility in Paoli, as well. It's rampant because word spreads among these low caliber, thug employees. Not only that, but they give the dialysis patients food they are not supposed to have. I'm talking about these things happening frequently, not once. Medicare allows PT to be done in groups only 25% of the time. That means 75% of the time the patient should have one-on- one PT. Watch for abuse of this. Sadly the patients that can't advocate for themselves suffer at the hands of these unscrupulous places and their evil, nefarious employees.

I stopped in to visit a friend. The staff was amazing. Friendly. Kind. Helpful. I watched them caring for my friend and other people on his floor. Top notch. From the first “hello” to the “have a good day” I was impressed.

My husband has been a patient for 3 months. The first month he was showered once & that was after I complained that he wasn't showered. Then he wasn't showered again till I called the dept of health about it! He says he rings the call bell & waits for an hour till anyone comes in & most times they just look at you & walk out never to return. My husband is totally bed ridden & is losing use of his hands, they don't help him eat or do anything! One employee told me I have no say in his care, since he is a patient there they decide what should be done! They change meds & don't say a word to me! The food is horrible, it is dry or rock hard & nothing fresh all processed frozen food. I just found out the kitchen staff is gone by 4 so I guess their dinners must be made earlier in the day & sit somewhere till they are served. Today the social worker told me that I should start bringing him meals! They want $10,000 a month & I should supply his food! Don't trust the pics on their website, they must be 20 years old, the place is run down, dirty & outdated! The hallways have bags of trash & dirty laundry laying everywhere! What to do when no one else has an open bed & you can't care for your loved one? I gave one star because 0 stars is not an option!

He's only been there a day and we had rough start. With him calling me no food no water took 3 times calling back to get someone on the floor.

This place is a horrible nursing home. The administration team starting with Sue Fisher has no sympathy or empathy for the residents or employees. The staff in the facility bullies when it comes to agencies workers coming inside to assist them. Sue Fisher do not have any incident report papers in case of any incidents occurring so a person cannot report any wrong doings. The staff are not professional at all. The staff are wearing street clothes, instead of scrubs. The staff do not give the following stift report. They just exit the facility.cannot report any wrong doings.

So far I am not happy with this place. My father was just admitted they weren't feeding him, they had none of his medical info, it just seems like a place where you totally have to keep an eye on. I hope they start getting their act together or the family is going to have to make different arrangements (update) Maybe since he was just admitted but afterwards they have taken good care of him thank you so much my stepmother needed the help

My husband was here. It was a little bit of a rocky start. After our concerns were met my husband did well. Rehab was great. Got him stronger to come home. Thank you all.

My father is there this place is sad, didn't feed him we had to say something on feeding him and let him lay there with tv off looking at the wall, come on people would you like laying there looking at the wall get your act together, but it own by a corporation all about money, sad

This place is terrible. My dad is there and has bed sores because the nurses and aides don’t change his position every 2 hours. The aides are so rude and act like they are inconvenienced when they have to do their jobs. One of the aides and nurses were arguing when we went to visit my dad because we wanted him to come to the dining room and the aide didn’t want to have to get him up. Very embarrassing and frustrating during an emotional time. The food looks disgusting too. The place is run down and could be updated.

The staff here are VERY kind and helpful. And the place is very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. I had a good time here.

My father is blind and was in ProMedica for 3 weeks. Worst place for a blind person! They would come into his room and not speak, not explain what they were doing. If he needed help at night, forget it! He called for over an hour because he needed help to the bathroom and when someone finally came, she said she's on a break because her stomach was hurting! I could go on and on about how terrible this place is! I'm a nurse and I know how patients and their families should be treated. This place is horrible.
I improved my rating to 2 stars only because of the administrator, Sue, who heard my complaint and was very apologetic and assured me she would take care of it.
