I visited Dr Lipton for a torn meniscus. While be treated the doctor asked me if I had any other issues I told him about my knees he checked them and recommended an injection. I explained to the doctor that I was tight on money and could not do it now because of additional out of pocket expenses. He then had his assistant who was in the room go and check to see if I had any additional payments other than my copay. The assistant came back and told me and Lipton that there was no additional and it would only be the doctors visit of $60.00. Flash forward 6 months later and I get a bill for $540.00 from the office saying that is my part of the copay. I explained all the above to the billing people. The billing person told me flat out to never believe what the doctors tell you when it comes to money owed. How do you run an office where the doctors and assistant lie to you about the cost. It is dishonorable. I did try to call Dr Lipton numerous times and never once received a phone call back.

Terrible experience with my knee replacement. It was so bad I refuse to get the other done. The surgeon found other issues and health problems with me. He DID NOT TELL ME any other health conditions that were found. I only found out from retrieving my entire surgery report along with nurse notes. Over 400 pages. Too bad the statute of limitation expired.

I would not recommend injuring yourself and having to go there but that being said - other than the wait and some scheduling issues and lack of communication regarding my first broken ankle, I would definitely have to say this office is VERY SUCCESSFUL in treatments and the office staff is professional and courteous. I am SURE the job is VERY stressful so a little rudeness is tolerable as I am sure they overlook any rudeness from patients who are in pain.

Overall, quick resolution of my PAINFUL mishap and looking forward to starting my physical therapy regimen that was scripted and back to walking again - CAN'T WAIT!

Revision: . Had to have a SECOND surgery and I decided to go with the FREE service offered through my employer and I believe this doctor was a little miffed at that although I was up front about it. Also, this doctor waited 3 months of follow up X-rays to tell me something was wrong and I ended up scheduling (having to pay for also) an UNNECESSARY MRI (via a second opinion) for her to realize I needed a revision surgery from the first one. Nah, won't be going here again. **Knock on wood and LOTS of Prayers it won't be necessary anyway!

My stepdaughter went here for services, they billed our insurance twice for the same service which has created and overpayment and insurance wants a refund. Their billing department is horrible, they put you on hold forever and then say you have the wrong person or it has to go in fromt of a review board. When you call back they get nasty and want nothing to do with you. We have been dealing with this for months.
