Primanti Bros. reviews
34 After having a couple of good friends recommend Primanti Brothers th wife and I had to give this legendary eater a shot. It worked out perfectly as we were cruising the strip district taking in all the area had to offer! We took a seat at the bar and began enjoying the show! We loved watching the action ok the grill and fryer
My wife ordered a double pastrami and I went with the Capacoa Ham and Genoa salami sandwich. We also added an order of the smallman street fries.
The sandwiches were off the chain! Portions were great, fries and slaw added a great kicker to the meat on the sandwiches.
The smallman street fries (loaded with bacon cheese chilli sour cream and jalepenos) were decent.

We definitely enjoyed this Pittsburgh Legendary stop and encourage everyone who is here to do the same!
This is the one to go to. The strip district is like Chelsea market in NYC. The atmosphere is exactly what you want, you can feel it being the original. The bread is made fresh daily from a bakery around the corner and is outta this world. I had corned beef and I don’t have the words to say how perfect it was. The only thing I didn’t like, was the fact the slaw is vinegar based and Mayo based, but that’s just preference. Get the sandwich all the way and you won’t leave disappointed or hungry. It’s HUGE! A must stop if you visit PGH!
Rode 3 hours to visit Primanti's in Pittsburgh's Strip District. The place was slammed. Still, I got my "Pitts-burgher" in a reasonable time. As a bonus, Pittsburgh was on "holiday parking" rates so parking was free. Great time.
Terrible service stood there for like 15 minutes, service staff just kept passing me taking others orders and checking on them but didn't bother with me at all.
Mandatory eating for visitors to Pittsburgh, an urban experience worth a reasonable detour (be sure to go to nearby Wholeys too). Though at first glance they seem a bit unusual, the sandwiches are well composed and filling
Stopped by because of the giant sandwiches seen on Food Network. I really wanted to like the place, it was definitely popular. Try something other than the Pittsburger, the patty was too unusual for me.tasted like a finely ground beef with bologna that's hard packed, and smelled weird, too. I'd try again, but definitely order something other than that #2 sandwich.
Come her when you're looking for nice greasy food on the way home from a long night of drinking/partying. Don't come here expecting a casual dinning experience. The crowd skews younger and can get rowdy late at night. A classic spot for the American teenager!
I'm from MI, my husband is from PA. Whenever we make a trip home to Pittsburgh,
a Primanti Bros sandwich and an ICLight on the strip is on the must do list. Great experience, even better sandwiches!
Really disappointed.extremely rushed. No pricing on anything. Ordered a simple capicola and cheese with fries on it and it came to $13.80.for 3 pieces of game and a slice of cheese and some fries.definitely don't recommend!
Friendly staff with a very local feel went to try the resturant on a suggestion of a friend that went to school in the area, the sandwichs were gigantic and extremely tasty. I found the pricing for the portions to be extremely reasonable as well.
Im a big Steelers fan, just came from my 1st game so i haddddd to stop pass primanti bros. They really lived up to the hype! You can get anyyyyyyy sandwiche combination. Come really to eat! Every sandwich is bigggg, fresh cut bread, the pack the hell out of it with fresh fries, slaw. Talk about yummmm. Cant wait to go back. I also found out on the drive back i saw a sign that the closes one to me since i live in md, was one right pass hagerstown outlets! Awesome!
Was well portioned. I don't even eat coleslaw, but fit well with the sandwiches. Had a good time. Checklist added lol
The famous Pitts-Burger is bigger than your head. You have to stop at the original location when you’re in town. Tough to find parking and there might be a line outside, but the service is super fast and it’s well worth it!
Crowded with tourists who cut the line. Okay clean but so busy never get a chance to wipe the counter down. Sandwich was okay no wow that's good factor. Regardless glad I checked the block.
Sweet lord. DELICIOUS. Massive sandwiches that taste amazing. The coleslaw in em is fantastic and provide a great sweet balance to the salty fries contained within.
There is limited (about 8 spots) free parking outside the one in the strip district which is convenient.
Service and decor is no frills, which is fine considering I went there for the food not the ambience.
Very reasonable price for the amount of food, and taste of food.
I love the lady running the door!
She had this place running like a well oiled machine. All of the staff were fast efficient and friendly. There was a line outside but were were seated within 5 mins. The food was colossal and delicious. You will be pleasantly stuffed when you leave. A foodies must eat!
Great place for blue collar history. Working class. Not my cup of tea, but not a bad place to visit.
I don't live in pittsburgh anymore. When I'm in town on visits I hit this place up. I went and took a friend from out if town. She couldn't believe this pittsburgh icon. The size of the sandwich and what came on it. I'm proud of this restaraunt. Never disappoints.
All I can say is that I was COMPLETELY let down by all the hype about this place. It was not worth standing in line for.
One of the best places in Pittsburgh to visit, this was the original restaurant. Food fantastic, staff friendly, food came quickly.their menu is unique and you will never leave hungry
