I seldom write reviews of any sort, but I feel like its unfair not to share what an amazing experience my kids have had at Primrose Center city! We moved to Philadelphia in 2019 and my daughter joined primrose in pre- k, she is a shy and gentle child who takes her time to adapt to new environments but I was amazed at how happy and active she was since her first day! The teachers and staff were very easily accessible and thoroughly responsive during those hard times. The way they have handled the pandemic and not compromised on the kids experience is remarkable. Later in 2021 my son joined pathways and once again the teachers and staff went above and beyond to make sure he was happy! We can’t seem to hear enough of how much he loves “Ms. Taylor! ” At home. It’s a great feeling for a parent to be so content and relaxed with how well your kids are taken care of. Thank you Primrose.

Extremely rude person on the phone. I asked if there was a waitlist for my two kids, and the person on the phone wouldn't provide the information without me filling out forms. When I said this sounded unusual, she hung up on me. PASS ON THIS PLACE.

Our son has been attending Primrose since he was 3 months old and he's absolutely thriving there. The teachers are great with the kids and my little one is all smiles whenever he sees any of them. They're really communicative whether it is through their app, via phone the first couple days when I was a nervous mom checking on my son 24/7, and in person. Their facilities are new and they have a lot of developmentally appropriate toys for the little ones to play with. Their COVID precautions are great, they take everyone's temperature, limit the amount of people that come in and out of the classrooms, have great cleaning protocols, and are very communicative with the parents about any cases/ potential exposures. I'd definitely recommend Primrose if you're looking for care for your infant.

Our twin infants have attended Primrose Center City for a couple months now so I was waiting to provide a review after a good settling in period. It's official, I'm impressed. The team of administrators and teachers have been outstanding. Our commute is further than we'd prefer and Primrose tuition is on the premium end of the scale, but the value is firmly there. The teachers send many daily pictures and notes via the app they use which we (parents) have installed on our mobile devices so we never feel that far away. It's also a wonderful addition to the workday. We have all the confidence our boys are being well cared for. I strongly recommend visiting Primrose Center City if you're in the market.

Primrose provides excellent child care in Center City, Philadelphia. If you want a place with a structured curriculum and program, this is the place to go. The facilities and staff are also extremely professional, and they go above and beyond to make parents feel involved and informed. I've recommended several close friends to Primrose and they are having similar positive experiences.

Our last daughter spent the entire school year in virtual learning here! What a great and supportive teacher team! Only shout outs to this rocking day-care in center city. Thank you for everything!

For child care,it is fine. But still I will not consider it or introduce to others never. Because they are dishonest. My daughter did not go to the center from March to June. But I keep paying tuition during this time. It is fine, I know they keep open and keep position for my daughter. But I told the center in advance for more than 2weeks that my daughter will withdraw from July according to the rules. But already we were charged for the tuition for June. Then they told me they can not refund my deposit because it will be used for the tuition for last month (June). So I paid double for June tuition? That is ridiculous. We did nothing wrong. We support them by paying tuition for 4 months without get service. But finally got such treatment. I am very sad and disappointed.

We were in love with Primrose since our tour of the facility before the grand opening in Fall 2016 and were fortunate enough to secure a spot in the infant classroom. After a short 12 week maternity leave, it was so hard to leave our daughter in the hands of strangers! But after meeting her first teachers Ms. Caldwell and Ms. Ghioca it became easier by the day. They served as great resources for any general questions that we had as new parents and made sure to give us updates each day. Our daughter stayed there from 12 weeks to 21 months when we moved out of state for work. Had we still lived in or around Philadelphia, we would have liked for her to stay there as long as possible. Primrose had a family feel to it. All of the staff were so friendly and really knew our daughter. From infant classrooms 1 and 2 to the transition room and toddler classroom, all of the teachers were so wonderful. They always gave us a brief update at pick up, were very attentive, and clearly enjoyed working with the kids. Administration and management were also great resources when it came to managing our daughter's severe food allergies, transitioning our daughter up to the next classroom (they made sure it was developmentally appropriate), and keeping parents informed of any updates/changes. Our daughter grew so much in those 21 months and we attribute a lot of our daughter's independence and spunky personality to the way she was nurtured at Primrose. Thank you, Primrose staff! We miss you all and wish we could have brought you with us to New York!

I helped open this Primrose and worked there for two years. I left early this summer to pursue an internship as a child life specialist. The administration worked with my schedule while I performed my child life volunteer hours and supported me through my internship application process. The difference in Primrose and other places is professionalism and passion for education. Babysitters, day care workers and people who just need a job are not successful at Primrose. The teachers at Primrose are expected not only to care about the children but also excitedly facilitate positive growth, reach developmental milestones and teach age appropriate Primrose constructed curriculum. Children, no matter their age, are always considered students at Primrose which is an important separation between Primrose and your standard daycare or early learning center. I have degrees in Psychology, Gender Studies, Mental Health Counseling, Art Therapy and Child Life, and I had a great relationship with parents, children, the leadership team, my peers and the owner. All teachers who are passionate about teaching, who care about each child’s development and who follow the guidelines given by Primrose, the leadership team and the owner are successful and happy. All others find another place to work, whether by choice or by being asked to leave. This is a great place to work in early education, you just have to have the right skills, enthusiasm, and mindset to do it.

I currently work at the Primrose School of Center City Philadelphia and I adore my job. I have been employed here for a little over a year. When I first started I was hired as a support teacher, then I was asked to be a core classroom teacher. After a year I am now the Admissions and Marketing coordinator. With that being said I can give my opinion as a teacher and as a leadership member. The owner Mrs. Maher is a sweetheart and she works diligently to accommodate both her staff and the parents that we service. I'm currently in college, Mrs. Maher and Ms. Galati our Executive Director have been nothing but supportive to me in continuing my courses to further my knowledge in the Early Childhood Education field. As far as turnover that happens at every childcare facility. Turnover is unfortunate but I personally feel some of the changes were in the BEST INTEREST of the school and it was necessary. If you work in a childcare facility and it is not your passion it well reflect in your work ethic. We need teachers who are passionate in what they do, not teachers who want to socialize with each other. Work friendships are okay but never should be above the safety of the children. Primrose is passionate about the welfare and best interest of the children in our care. We have high expectations for our staff and for the children to reach their full potential while in our care. Some of our previous teachers didn't live up to those expectations. Now as far as communication, yes we can do better with communication it's difficult to make employees happy when they're constantly communicating with each other instead of bringing up their concerns to the leadership team. There have been changes with in the past three months but we have some new incredible teachers that we are so grateful to have join the Primrose family. "It's not work when you love what you do"

Primrose is the best! The teachers and staff are amazing. The facility is clean and bright. Our son has been there since he was 4 months old and we have had nothing but positive experiences since he started. Every time he advances up to a new class level, it’s bittersweet because we love the teachers so much – but then he gets new wonderful teachers. The staff is professional and caring, always extremely helpful and friendly. If you are considering Primrose, hurry up and get on the wait list!

Even though the school is not open yet, I would highly recommend this school. I took a tour last week and I am extremely impressed with all the teachers' hospitality and warm conversations. The director Nicole, was very warm and welcoming along with being very informative. I am pleased to say that I have enrolled my child and looking forward to the school opening.
