Professional Building Systems, Inc.-Corporate Office reviews
7STAY AWAY! This place is a joke. Won't speak to the homeowner at all. If you have a problem such as CABINETS coming off the wall, it's not pbs fault it's your flooring guys fault! KEEP IN MIND THE CABINETS ARE ALREADY SET FROM FACTORY. If you have a door that doesn't fit the frame that is already framed out, it's not their fault it's the contractor's fault even if you have PICTURES SHOWING IT, and an engineer saying "thats on pbs. " If a bedroom closet is pushed in 4-6 inches it's not their fault it's again the contractors fault! The kitchen hood cover wouldn't even fit the blower housing, they sourced it 3rd party so it's not on them. B&D modular homes sales LLC was my rep. Go with another modular company that offers TURN KEY, as B & D modular is not a turn key which we were lead to believe. Once they get their check good luck you're definitely ON YOUR OWN! Material shortages another issue and of course the response was "it was sent with the house" b/s again. The house is 6 monthts old!
Terrible workmanship and communication. Here's a photo of just one small example of their abysmal drywall quality that I'm repairing today. This house is only a few years old. It's notoriously difficult to photograph drywall flaws but the condition is so bad here that it shows through clearly. As best I can tell, they managed to miss the stud three times in a row when hanging the drywall but just lazily left the screws hanging loose in the wall. The screws eventually created three "bubbles" in the drywall that you can see here. You can also see a fourth screw head popping through in the same shot. We must have hundreds or thousands of these screw pops. I asked PBS about this and they stated to me in an email that "screw pops they are an inherent part of construction".
I cannot recommend them.
I was given a "Builder" when I called to inquire about their homes. It turns out the "builder" builds nothing and I was the general contractor and I have no experience. PBS refuses to talk to the customer unless it's through the builder. What a joke!
They shorted us materials which took 2 months to get all the while they left their trailers in our driveway. Plumbing was pathetic and my plumber said "It would have been cheaper for you if PBS did nothing", as he had to redo all of their screw ups.
After the sale you do not exist to them. I still have warranty issues and no one is returning calls, emails or responding to written letters.
Customer service is not something they understand!
Diane Clay is the builder
We love our home that was delivered last year. The details are very good and everything is high quality.
Love this business. My husband works there and they treat their employees well. Great buildings, good construction.
BUYER BEWARE
Their contract is with a 3rd party builder and if you have any warranty issues, they won't talk to you. My contractor has not returned my calls for months and now they won't step in and help. Very bad business. Missing materials, plumbing not labeled, wiring not labeled, overrun costs everywhere. Don't deal with this business.
The worst experience I have ever had when dealing with any company. I would highly recommend no doing business with these people. At every turn the cheat you. So much of their work had to be redone charges for things we never received. The list is endless stay away far far away.
