What a joke. I filed a complaint regarding my water bill. The PWSA has been incorrectly billing me for a year. The investigator never read any of my emails and responded to only one call after months. I had to explain to him everything as if it was the first time. He didn't even address the heart of my issue- being charged for and paying for estimated usage then again charged for actual usage later. I should have known this wouldn't be resolved.

Been having a electric issue for 2 years now, they dont do anything and when you get upset over the phone, they call the police and try to make you a criminal.i thought this place was to help people with complaints.:/

Just need someone to audit my electrical situation is all.been waiting 2 years:/

Thank you for allowing the York Water Company to raise the water rates on its customers in 2023. What a puzzling, boneheaded decision that was by the PUC. It is York Water's first increase in 4 years, and what do you know, it goes into effect during this putrid "Build Back Better" economy. Just keep piling on to the middle class!

I was so happy to find this place, believing it was looking out for innocent people who are preyed upon by a monopolized company. I put in a claim for my grandparents who haven’t used heat all winter and had frozen pipes because their pension can’t cover electric bills for hundreds of dollars per month. Nevertheless they get a bill for January of $475! My mom told me about the issue regarding my grandparents, so I called the company to see if they can fix the issue. Which they responded saying there was a computer issue, saying they will fix the bill. However when they fixed it, the bill came down to $375, so basically they got stuck with this excessive bill even with their $100 error. Moreover they had no proof for that month of their usage, therefore I began recording their meter beginning February every Sunday. I contact PUC, where they had me send them documents and whatever evidence to support my case. For months I have sent them time stamped meter recording, along with their monthly bills. The whole time I have been recording the meter, “almost 5 months”, the meter has never reset and hasn’t even reached 1000kw till 2-3 weeks from today. However they kept receiving bills stating they using 1000 kw every month, except in April they were kind and only charged 3 times their real usage and it was 700kw. After sending all this proof, the puc couldn’t find the sent videos. Therefore the lady that was assigned to the case couldn’t retrieve the files that were sent on their website to upload any documents supporting the claim. She told me to send the latest meter reading which said 1000 kw. Weeks later after I sent the last recording she gave me a generic response saying the energy company has same reading, that we have been using less then last year, but didnt explain why my grandparents are getting charged 1000kw per month, when they have only used 1000kw since the investigation began!? ! I’m very disappointed and upset for my grandparents because I thought with proof. This will all get resolved. That there’s people who make sure they won’t be taken advantage of. I guess I was too naive and trusted the representatives of PUC, as they sounded very polite and caring, unfortunately I was wrong. PuC is obviously in cahoots with the company and are either covering the corporations tracks or just making sure that they don’t get exposed. Fortunately videos don’t lie, I have them stored in iCloud and will find a lawyer who will take this matter and I am going to make sure that I expose the corrupt monopoly of a company. Furthermore I’ll send an update with information regarding how to proceed with this injustice. My advice is to make videos of your Meter with time stamp At least 2-4 times per month. Videos don’t lie and no matter what, at least you will have proof! Their charging my grandparents for 5 months of usage every month! Very disgusting and I have it all documented. I can’t believe how shady and wicked these people are! If you have any advice please share!

PPL billing issues is still in effect, utility bill are so high.every 10 days ppl send new bill keep adding charges.ppl need serious overhaul.

Overcharged my electric bill for February and March claiming they did a general survey instead of individual usage of electricity. Was over charged $535 in February and $335 in March. Called customer service and was told I would get credit. It’s April. NO CREDIT.
What is the problem?
My actual rating is ZERO stars.

I get a 4% raise and the this commission decides to let PPL raise their rates in Jan at 2% and in June 2023 at 2% as well as grocery bills go up and health insurance premiums go up. My raise isn't going to help cover it all. My question is WHY TWO INCREASES IN ONE YEAR? ! For PPL. Who makes these decisions? ! Apparently none of you think about your choices whoever you are. And yes I know I am able to shop around but that takes time and then I need to vigilant to be sure when that time is up with that company I need to shop around again. Seriously, I know you all can afford the increase but how about thinking of the others who struggle.

I've decided to provide this review after seeing my electric bill this morning from PP&L increased over $600. While it is a factual statement that PP&L has admitted they are having billing issues resulting in invalid bills being sent, I have heard no formal communication from the PUC regarding this matter. As the designated oversight organization, they exist as an organization to provide oversight over these utility companies. When I see a formal communication sent via the news media, I will consider adjusting my review. Until that time, I believe this is an accurate assessment of your value provided to the Commonwealth citizens.

I'm having a water meter problem. I've incurred a huge bill because the American water resources (plumbing plan) associated with PA American water told me they couldn't send a plumber until I had the meter checked. Meter guy just said meter showing leak. Leak fixed and excessive billing and only small amount of money compensated. Meter still showing activity of a leak but bill calmed down but still excessive for two people. PUC said if I was compensated any money than they can't help me, so why do they exist? The water companies usually do some type of adjustment, so we shall see? I'll keep you posted. Service rep was ok.
