Restaurant Pumpernicks Deli reviews
17We have been going to this Deli as long as I can remember. My family is friends with ownership after all these years and have watched them expand the restaurant over the years as well. The food is always delicious, waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the people behind the deli counter are wonderful as well. The pickle bar is always fun while you wait for your food to come out and if you live in the area there is always a good chance you will bump into someone you know. Great place for big groups and intimate meals alike. We bring family here from out of town all the time and they always want to come back.
Never a disappointment going to Pumpernicks! Food is always fresh, service is always fantastic. And motza ball soup? Best around! Huge motza balls delicious broth and just the right amount of veggies!
The biggest menu variety I have seen in years. High quality deli meats and cheeses enought for everyone. Pastrami was best ever! Wait times for a seat can be long at peak times. Family run and it shows, everything is fresh and delivered quickly. Free pickle bar for everyone.
Great soups and deli sandwiches as well as full meals. Great service but very popular so expect so wait time before seating during peak hours. Reasonable pricing.
We ordered and split an rachel, hands down possibly the best one I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to Katz’s, I’ve been to famous, and I used to go to stans back in the day. They can’t touch this.
Pumpernicks, one of my favorite breakfast spots in Montgomery County, offers a wide variety of breakfast options as well as deli options as well as a pickle bar!
Staff is just the best here! Great servers, love everyone working the deli, and Stu makes you feel like you're at a friend's place. You'll never leave this place unsatisfied as the portions are very generous, and my kids are obsessed with the unlimited pickle bar! Try the Pastrami sandwich, hungry man's omelette, buffalo chicken wrap, and the chicken matzo ball soup
I ordered 2 cornbeef specials to go.both sandwiches the rye bread was not fresh and small pieces.the cornbeef was sheded beef, very little colslaw and dressing. They think they can fool the people but not me. I rate them minus 10 stars the sandwich was terrible. We will never, never go back.
Total disgrace for a del. F
I can't say enough good about this wonderful restaurant! Everything I have tried is amazing! So much better than other deli's I have been to. The pickle bar is fantastic and just love the pastrami!
Went for breakfast this time. Chipped beef was delicious with a bit of spice to it. And they were not stingy on th portion size. Home fries were crispy on the outside and actually cooked on the inside.
I have gotten so many NY clubs from Pumpernicks.it's embarrassing really. My partner and I love the food, we have never had any issues with the service and you get so much food for your money. Their deli is great, their pickle selection is wonderful and if you ever have a chance to sit down and eat there the wait staff is super friendly as well.
Great food and service! Really recommend the mushroom barley soup, onion rings and the Liberty with hot corned beef and pastrami w/ cole slaw and russian dressing.all delicious! And.the sandwiches are stuffed with meat so hubby and I always split. No way we could each eat our own. Only downside is the parking which can be tough especially during peak lunch hours.
Inferior to Jewish delis in New York or Philadelphia. South Street Deil and Jaime's in Bala Cynwyd, just outside Philadelphia, is superb. Parking is horrible
OMG 1st time visit. So much to choose from! Beef brisket was so tender and gravy savery. Chicken parm sandwich was huge and breaded cutlet hung over edges of bun. The fries were crisp and flavorful. Turkey breast with stuffing, mashed bliss potatoes n gravy. The breast was so juicy and tender. Stuffing had a touch of apple for sweetness to compliment savery gravy. The green beans were actually best I've ever had! Made with roasted garlic. My adult son has never liked
G Beans but said he'd eat like this anytime! The potato skins had so much bacon that could have used a little more cheese were delish! Took home a Italian Hoagie for next day and ended up eating 1/4 for breakfast. Couldn't wait it was amazing! Leftovers went home for later! We all said this was a GREAT CHOICE! Definitely going again to try more.
I love the pickle bar (pickled tomatoes are my fave!) I love the kasha knishes! Love the chocolate rugelach!
I had the pastrami special, it was so tender not fatty so love that too!
Great waitress and had nice memories looking at the old deli pictures.
Busy, fun place. Great corned beef sandwiches and cabbage soup. Counter with lox, etc. Deli meats, knishes, pickles, cookies
