I have a reactive/fearful dog and in the one on one training Lisa worked wonders with her as well as helped us understand her better. Obedience classes and rally also continued working on communication between us and our pups. Highly recommend!

Awesome place for doggies. They have awesome daycare for your fur babies! An awesome staff that cares and spends time wth them. They do have a special day for older babies! The best place for your doggies

Have been bringing my Chihuahua to classes for awhile now, first basic obedience then agility. Instructors are nice, classes are fun for the owners and dogs.

Would not recommend. Training did not improve my dog’s behavior at all and Lisa is very unprofessional.

Lily loves going to daycare and being with her friends. The staff is amazing and know what they are doing. The training Lily has received while being at daycare has defiantly helped show as she grows.

Great staff, very caring, patient & kind. The owner of the business really knows how to help with any issues your dog has. My dog has improved greatly with her help. Awesome experience! Fun classes!

I highly recommend Puptopia for everything they offer. Love the scent class and as far as grooming. I have a Pyrenees mix, a husky mix and a catahoula mix and they love to go to grooming at Puptopia. I did not think I would find another place when my last one closed. Theresa does a fantastic job whether it is juts a de-shedding, a wash and cut or just nails. Thank you!

Lisa was so helpful with in home training getting our young dog ready for our first baby! On top of that our dog loves going to doggie daycare and playing with his friends!

Teresa is an amazing groomer! She's so patient with my long haired akita. He's skidish and doesn't like new people much but she did wonderful with him! Everytime I drop him off and pick him up he looks better than ever!

I worked with Lisa on all three of my dogs, she was absolutely wonderful in helping me set my dogs up for success and to regain control of my pack. I love that she only uses positive training methods. My dogs also attend daycare at puptopia and will soon be enrolled in obedience and scent work! Lisa truly goes out of her way to help people and I love that!

Writing negative reviews for small business’s is not something I find joy in, however, this one feels necessary.

My husband and I adopted a 16 week old dachshund puppy and quickly realized we needed some help with his training. Puptopia was recommended to me by a coworker; we figured why not try out a new small business? A 3 course/hour lesson with Lisa came with the large price tag of $350. We figured if she was really the “best”, it would be worth it. In total we barely received 2 out of the 3 total hours of training, and most of the time we did receive was spent with Lisa aggressively trying to sell her business’s other programs/classes. The only thing she really taught our dog/us was how to help him learn his name.

We went elsewhere and spent half the price for twice as many *group* classes, and received advice/suggestions/tips/tricks that actually solved our dog’s issues.

Lisa was unable to help us achieve success, but another instructor in the area was.

Although we were disappointed and felt ripped off by her “private lessons”, we still opted to support the business by taking our dog to playcare once a week. We were told to only bring him on Thursdays because he was too small for other days. Several times I showed up and they were either closed for the day without any notice on their website or to their “regulars”, or their employees were late.

Puptopia’s hours are 8-5, Monday-Friday; I wouldn’t say ending the day at 5pm when most people are barely off work is exactly convenient hours for clients. Not to mention, I’ve seen at least 4 employees come and go over the ~6 months - meaning no consistency for the dog or their owner.

Today, rather than waiting until the end of the business day, I get a call nearly demanding I come pick up my dog because he is too rambunctious (he weighs 9 pounds) for the day we were told to bring him on… I obeyed their wishes and picked up my dog immediately. Upon pickup, Lisa felt it was an appropriate time to try to sell me on their other services - when they had just failed for the second time. Not a chance they would be getting a third opportunity.

And finally, while we were simply going to accept our losses and walk away, I get a nasty email from Lisa (the business owner!) suggesting we surrender our dog into her care. Our dog is well loved, safe, happy, and cared for, and to assume otherwise is extremely offensive and disrespectful. Lisa’s personal opinions on how you choose to train your dog come into play - so be weary if you don’t follow their/her exact methods.

I’m sure I will get a response from the business or their employees suggesting all of the ways I am wrong - but all that does is prove the point that this is not a business you want to support. They lack professionalism, and frankly, the services my family received were just not successful and a huge waste of money. There’s other places in the city much more deserving of your time and money.

We met Lisa June of 2022. After my first attempt of just a consultation with another dog trainer we were rejected for “aggressive” sounding behavior over a phone conversation. With not much hope I reached out to Puptopia! Best decision we’ve ever made! We have learned so much about our dog. From body language to what tools to use for correcting/managing favorable behaviors. Lisa gave us hope and understanding that not every dog is the same just as no person is the same. Working with Puptopia staff has been nothing short of amazing and we feel right at home knowing Nellie is accepted regardless of being a “reactive rover” Thank you!

Lisa and staff are fantastic! My pup has made so much progress and loves doggie daycare. We were referred to Lisa after adopting our dog from a local shelter as he was fearful in certain situations. After our initial evaluation in our home, she trained us on how to train our dog and he’s been very responsive. We recently signed him up for daycare to start socializing and after just a few sessions, he’s already starting to warm up to the people and the other dogs. She gives great advice on how to handle any situation and has been great to work with.

We will be back! Had an incredible experience at Puptopia. Lisa was wonderful and so helpful as we booked our first appointment. Our groomer was so calming and patient and skilled. We have a 14 year old border collie- she looked gorgeous when we picked her up! So pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Puptopia. Thank you!
