I just left from pyramid Dallas this is literally the worst rehab I have ever been in. Unfortunately I been in a lot of them! They will take people to the dentist but not to a biopsy I have had scheduled for over four months. The techs a lot of them care, however.the counselors and case management didn’t inform me that my ride was a no call no show (the pyramid ride they provide) and one of them was just flat out cold. Again I’ve been in a lot of places and this place needs work.

As a case manager who sometimes who is in communication with Pyramid and has been in the past, it is typically a smooth and easy process when needing to get someone in for services or any questions I may have regarding inpatient treatment.

Sarah Davis and Shirley gave me the best experience I ever had in rehab. The case manager Megan Davis wasn’t nice at all but over all it was good

Pyramid Dallas saved me. If you’re searching for Recovery, please go now. This place is not perfect but it’s certainly what you make of it. I had a wonderful experience & found healing here. WOULD ABSOLUTELY recommend to ANY and everybody in need of real help.

I just left this awful place. I would not recommend this facility to ANYONE. It's very obvious that everyone there is simply there for a paycheck.
The entire building is a literal pigsty. The carpet is disgusting and covered in stains from wall to wall. Rehab is supposed to be a therapeutic experience in a therapeutic environment. Ha! I spent 14 days being talked to like I'm a criminal. The groups consist of watching DVD's. You're locked out of your room most of the day and forced to use the public restrooms which are absolutely foul. There's a huge problem with people stealing.including housekeepers (from what I heard). The food is barely ingestable. If you're a vegetarian they feed you a veggie burger patty for every meal and when they run out you get a box of carrots. I was there for 2 weeks and never saw a counselor, case worker, therapist.no one. Then when I decided I was leaving I saw a case worker only to be told that my file has never been opened by anyone. I was basically non existent. I got zero after care. Thankfully, I can figure it out on my own. But I feel so so so sorry for they people who they do this to who can't do things on their own. Pyramid Dallas is a joke.

Do not go to this place if you have any sort of issues with neurodivergence. It is bright, loud, there is no time to be alone and decompress. Counselors MAY put in accommodations but they are completely ignored. If there is some sort of issue, like if you have to get searched during your stay, they won’t tell you why until 24 hours later. Bullying is rampant and if someone is friends with the techs there will be zero consequences, even if you are assaulted on camera. I regret going through residential here and I feel that my mental health suffered from it. Psych is awful and they do not listen to the patients at all and gaslight you while you are reporting symptoms and traumatic life events. Nurse Penny is extremely rude and unhelpful. I needed to see the provider about a possible infection and she would not refer it over and behaved as if I was drug seeking when explaining to her I needed to see the provider as I felt I needed antibiotics. I’m a middle aged woman and I’ve had this particular kind of infection before. I was also given the wrong medication when I left and they forgot to set up my MAT aftercare. Groups quickly devolve into the entire community getting yelled at for something just one or a couple of the clients did or are allowed to veer off topic. This was my first and only rehab stint and i truly hope for others sake this is not how it always is. They just plainly do not set you up to succeed. The only reason I gave this more than one star is because the techs Karl, Danna and Felicia were very supportive and understanding. They try to do their best with what they are given.

Helped me tremendously with my recovery, I learned so much about myself and am glad I even extended my stay a bit. Thank you to all the techs, nurses, counselors, and ALL staff in general at Pyramid Dallas!

I was there for 60 days. I just got discharge for frivolous statements. Made by staff. I went there looking for help to become a productive member of society and live a drug free life but this place is not what it is. When the brother of our governor Tom Wolf ran it, I heard it was better ran and was productive. I was at Dallas, and I’m on my way home and I’m scared for myself because I’m not ready to be back in society I have seen a racism only the Latin and black gets kicked out. And if they owners investigate this they will see it. I have tears coming out my eyes when I was saying my goodbyes to my brothers. I didn’t do anything they believe other people instead of asking the guys in the community. I wasn’t given a chance. I just know that I was discriminated against and only because I’m Puerto Rican. So If you need help and reading this. Don’t go to Pyramid

Have been trying hard to find out what they're doing with my husband. I call 10 times a day at all hours, talked to 2 humans-1 of which was mouthy and hung up on me right away, the other transferred me to the facility (in which I was supposedly calling) and I was hung up on once again. I have left tens of messages. This place is a joke!

When I interviewed for the LPN position in Dallas, Pennsylvania my supervisor was spectacular. Even told me if we are ever short staffed that the higher ups would come in to help. One night one of the nurses walked out so we had 1 nurse downstairs and 1 nurse upstairs and 1 med tech. I worked the overnight shift and that night we were told by 'Jenn A.that she would be in as soon as she could. Mind you this was midnight. She did not stroll in until 5: 30 in the morning with an extremely Unprofessional attitude, how she got the position she was in is beyond me. Complained to my supervisor and nothing was done. Started immediately looking for another job. The nurses and BHTs were great, very supportive and willing to help. Management was there to bring in people to get their census up. Would not recommend working here, besides the place is filthy, rugs must have been there since it opened, stains everywhere. Dreary, depressing looking. Not the type of place where I would want a loved one to go to. Oh and the micromanagement from the higher ups who have no idea what goes on at night were Always quick to point out everything everyone of us did wrong. Not one positive enforcement at all. The pay sucks, not comparable with other places.

Seems like this place gets most of its money from the state. It has all the downsides of public funding - everyone is overworked and underpaid - everything is old and dirty or new and broken - beds felt like rubbery cement.
I also had a disagreeable incident on my first night in detox. I guess i was too loud so they drove me to the general hospital at 2 am and left me there over night. Not a very nice thing to do to a patient.
Despite that, I'd still say the people there do seem to care but everyone is so clueless and/or overworked that it makes for an impossible situation.
Overall I'd call this a good option if you have no other options.
