QCare Moshannon Valley reviews
12 I knew this place had bad reviews going in but I was desperate over the weekend to be seen and they were the closest. I didn’t go in with high expectations but was still let down. All staff I encountered were very uncaring and cold, save for one nurse who took my vitals and prepped me for the doctor. I hate that I forget her name but she was very kind and helpful, an older woman with very short hair. Besides that, it was like everyone there had something better to do and I was a nuisance—and I wasn’t the only one receiving that treatment, but the other patients they checked in after I got to the waiting room had similar encounters. If the office’s goal is to be quick, I guess they do that well, expect that it comes at the expense of the quality of care. The doctor did the bare minimum and seemed like he didn’t have time to listen to me, let alone actually make sure he was prescribing the right thing. Within 5 minutes and no testing, he diagnosed a sinus infection and sent me on my way quickly. 3 days later I was in the dentist chair for an emergency procedure with a deep abscess that if left alone with just basic antibiotics, could’ve become a huge problem for me.
I assure you, if anyone has bothered to read this, that I’m not the type of person to just leave a bad review. I get that people have bad days. But in health care, a field in which you’re supposed to at least ATTEMPT to do your best in helping people (not to mention no one is forcing you to be in that field if you really hate it), it’s just unacceptable to be this dismissive.
Just go to state college if you can.
Called to ask if lab was open at 4, they said until 5, my wife gets there before 4: 30 and they’ve closed the lab.
Took my wife in yesterday because she completely lost her voice after having a fever and cough. Had previously taken 2 covid tests and came back negative. I spoke when answering most of the questions at check-in, because, you know, she had absolutely no voice.
When the nurse asked her to come back my wife stood up and asked if I wanted to come back too. The nurse was very quick to say, "No, go wait in the car in case it's covid. "
As soon as the door was shut behind them, the nurse asked my wife, "Do you feel safe at home? Your husband was answering most of the questions during check in" The woman without a voice, didn't answer the questions. Big surprise. I'm sure they have a responsibility to ask that in certain situations, but when she obviously cannot speak, it's a bit ridiculous.
What they did was a flu and covid test, thats it. Both came back negative, no surprise. But when asked what she should do, as she still has no voice, they said that she would have to come in again to get specifics. So paying twice for the same exact issue rather than actually doing it correctly the first time.
This facility does the absolute bare minimum, does not listen to their patients and expect you to come in and pay multiple times for the same issue. Avoid this place, go to your primary care physician. It'll cost the same amount.
I took my husband there Saturday for a facial bleed we couldn't get stopped. Not serious but annoying as we worked for 2 hours to get it to stop. We got to window and was told they couldn't see him due to them not having a check In person. I have worked at a doctors office at Penn Highlands as the check in person and the nurses there could check in the patient so I dont know why they were turning people away? If there was only one nurse then they should have closed and went home. I have had no problems prior to this visit.
Went for a Covid test my husband went to check me in as I am sick, they refused a rapid test and it is now past when my results were to come in been trying to call in the nasty chick at the front dest the same one that have my husband attitude has hung up on me several times
People at the desk were rude, unhelpful, and lied about the wait time. They encouraged people to leave the facility by saying the wait was over 3 hours long, when it actually was 45 minutes. Could hear people behind the desk complaining about being there. They often pulled their masks down and didn't wear them properly. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly environment.
Don't even bother with this facility. Don't walk.run away! Refused to treat my symptoms of lymes disease. Waited for days for test results while I continued to get sicker. Ended up having to go to the emergency room to get antibiotics.
ZERO STARS! Worst place ever! Went with back pain. Got sent for x-rays and sent home. Don't even know results of x-rays. Waste of time! Just moved to the area and needed a place to go.
They say no appointment needed, but when you walk in they ask if u have an appointment. I went in to ask for a mask for my son before he went in. While I was waiting, a woman with 2 kids was vjecling on, and one of her kids was there because he had been exposed to Covid-19. When she was done, I asked for a mask for my son (their sign says they can give you a mask if needed), and the woman at check on said to just send him in and they would give him a mask when he checked in.
A waste of time. Don’t go there if you don’t have to. If you have a injury they make you wait in a room for 25 minutes and tell you to go get a x ray and send you home. No help with pain or anything. If they had a option for no stars they would get a no star rating.
This is NOT Mitchell Hubler, this is Robin Hill Baran. Check-in was smooth, and I was seen in approximately 30 min or less. The nurse had NO personality and treated me as a bother. Mackenzie the PAC was great and did a thorough exam. The X-ray tech was the worst: rude, took a personal call while checking me in for my x-ray.
Just got home from Q-CARE emergency room (Philipsburg) and it was one the best experiences i've had going to an emergency room. This was on a Saturday too and I had cut my fingers on a chainsaw. Soon as the lady at the front desk saw my problem, she rushed me in the back and a Dr was seeing me within 5 minutes of me walking through the front door. Excellent Dr's, excellent nurses, excellent service and they had 7 stiches in my hand, out the door within an hour. I usually do not write reviews but when the service is this good, the least I can do is give a review.
