Quality Inn Riverfront, Harrisburg PA

It's FINE if all you're doing is sleeping here. Rooms are what you'd expect and clean enough. There is NO GYM and no pool either. Breakfast is what convinced me to post a review. Here is the grand total of your options: waffles, two flavors of cereal, and yogurt. Coffee and juice too but that's really the lowest bar to clear. There are butter pats in the fridge, but don't let that trick you into thinking there's bread for toast. Be sure to enjoy your tower of waffles because that's all you'll be eating here in the morning. I've never seen a continental breakfast where there's nothing you can even grab and go (bars, packaged muffins, fruit, etc.).

My room was fine. Be prepared to try your key card in the door about ten times every time you want to go in. The locks just don't work well. I noticed my shoes were sticking to the floor a little bit. Water pressure was fine in the shower, but the sink is hard to use since the stream is so close to the back wall.

The SERVICE is the only thing keeping this place going. I see the front desk staff working very hard with very little, and I don't blame them in the slightest. They were polite and helpful.

Great location but in serious need of an upgrade throughout the whole building and parking lot. Wall next to bed had something splattered on it. Chair in room had nasty looking stains on it. Mildew stains around the tub. Concrete around building needs a upgrade. Breakfast bar sucked. For the overall price, it’s not worth the $$$. Great view of the river.

I think the location was great! Rooms were clean but they need to take off pictures of pool. The pool area is closed and run down. I booked a room there to be able to cool off after touring the city. That was a big disappointment!

I was a little hesitant to stay here based on other reviews, but since it was close to a business meeting I was having the next morning and much less expensive than other hotel options, I decided to chance it. And I'm very happy I did. The room was spacious and clean, and when I was checking in I requested a room in back where it was quieter, and the woman checking me in said I had reserved a less expensive room in the front, but upgraded me for free! It is right across the street from the river, and I took a really nice walk along the path in the morning. The only downside (and why they didn't get 5 stars) is that the breakfast was very sparse. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!

I don’t like the area. Tons of homeless people right down the road. It’s basically a tent city. Horrible!

You get what you pay for. For the price it wasnt terrible. Clean rooms, not fancy but clean. The breakfast was a little lacking but not horrible. I will say the area around it wasnt the best. First night nothing eventful but second night someone got into a fight in the parking lot and did some property damage to one of the entrances. No one got hurt but it did starteled folks that were in the room right across from the broken doors. We thought it was drunken folks coming back from the bars. Nope. Other than that it was ok experience.

We were going to a concert which was right next to the hotel. That was very convenient. The bed was comfortable. The shower didn't work well in the bathroom. There were suspicious stains on the wall. If you are expecting a pool they have one but it is not functional. It literally doesn't have any water in it. Very limited continental breakfast There is a microwave and fridge in the room. The staff is mostly friendly.

Old furniture and carpet need replaced. No elevator to the 2nd floor. Had breathing issues so not too impressed. Skimpy free breakfast which we skipped.

Everyone was complaining about Air conditioning not working in the room. You couldn't bring the temperature down below 67. The bathroom sink was clogged. Only waffles in the breakfast with Tea coffee. Oranges were old in fruit basket which was the only option. No house keeping came to change garbage bags. No one fixed the beds in our 3 days stay.

*AWFUL* experience! DO NOT STAY HERE.we arrived at midnight on the 25th of the august (which would technically make it the 26th), and at check in, was told that one of my two rooms was already checked in.how would that be possible when i am literally standing there and he has my ID in his hand? After a half an hour of waiting for the clerk to check us in (yes.half an hour.we got to the property at 12: 03 and didn’t get our keys until 12: 28), we were given 2 rooms, 135 and 133.135 was my room, and as soon as i opened the door, the room wasn't ready or made, so i went back to the front desk to ask for another room.my mother stayed in 133, however, and there were many problems with that room as well.walking in, the room smelled like old damp carpet (their solution was to either make my old mother climb stairs to the second floor, or give her a spray bottle to hopefully make the damp carpet smell go away.it did not.), there was also an issue with the flushing of the toilet, so my mother had to literally open the tank and manually flush the toilet herself, and the water had NO pressure in the shower whatsoever.not to mention that both of our rooms WERE not clean.in my new room, 139, there was food crumbs in the bathroom still and wrappers lying around, and my mother’s room, along with the awful smell, also had food crumbs and stains on the chair in the room.it was almost 1AM, and i at that point had no more energy to deal with going back to the desk and changing our rooms AGAIN.as someone who is a regular at choice hotel properties, and was a MANAGER of one, as well, i am very disappointed with the lack of quality in this particular quality inn.

Great person at checking in late was extremely helpful morning staff and breakfast was good room and hallway ceilings show signs of either more maintenance staff needed or more attention to detail and appearance.

They had a great visit. The staff was very friendly and made sure they had everything they needed. They enjoyed their great view and ability to have an early check in!

This is a terrible place too. Rude employees. Didn't want to hire me but wanted to hire my boyfriend. Worst place ever!

Arrived here and was received by a grumpy woman at the reception, which I understand afterwards when you work in such a seedy hovel. The room door looked like it had been run over by a train and barely opened. After 5 minutes of pulling the door, the door finally opened and you were welcomed with a nasty piss smell that hung all over the room.
The walls, curtains and carpet were covered in stains, blood and other filthy messes. It was really too gross to watch. When I went to the toilet I discovered the totally dirty toilet seat, it had dried piss stains on it and we had to clean it ourselves. It was really too rancid for words. The bathroom door could not close either because the door handle was gone and there was a hole in the door. At night the room felt like a sauna because the air conditioning did not work for a meter, did not sleep a wink all night. Went to breakfast sleepless with the lowest expectations after the disgusting room, but still my low expectations were dashed. All they had was cork dry waffles and tea. Thank goodness we only stayed 1 night. It's better to lie outside among the bums than sleep in this old discarded junk. Quality Inn thank you for this one time experience because I will never come back here.

Beg bugs. I found bed bugs in my bed as soon as I checked in. They refused to refund money so I could stay somewhere else.

Stayed only one night thank goodness, had reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes, hall ways were hot no air, checked into room and A/C was not working, changed rooms and air was very slow at cooling down still hot when checking out at 6 am, never again for me
