It's a great place to sit down and drink some quality California Wine. Cheese plates and Beer also available. Very roomy and certainly a great place to visit with friends! We'll keep coming back

R Five Wines is exceptional. My husband and I had an amazing date night here. Great ambiance, phenomenal wines and delicious light bites. The owners are incredibly personable and so knowledgeable. They own the Sonoma vineyards where the wine is sourced from… which speaks to the quality. We cannot wait to come back for a regular date night. Thanks Kristie and Kieran!

Wine is very good but pricey for this area. The food that is offered is simple but disguised has something fancy. The “hoagie” is good at first bite, but way too much Brie - it is described much better on the menu than the actual product, nothing unique about it, just individual pieces of food stacked together on a baguette.

Hours are really great because they make it possible to stop by after work! Loved being able to sit at the bar with the garage doors open in front of us. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! Loved their reds.

Great wines, good food, ambiance/bar set up is beautiful, friendly owners and staff. My boyfriend isn't a big wine drinker and he loves this place. The white wines are for everyone - I love the reds as well. Grateful to have such a nice spot in Downingtown. Highly recommend!

Just visited R Five Wines. Wine was excellent (took some bottles home as well) and charcuterie and cheese plates delicious! Relaxing atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or date night. Will absolutely be going back!

Viognier, was the best white wine I've had years. Owners were very nice. Highly recommend

My wife and I, and several friends, had a great time at R Five Wines this weekend. We will be returning for another visit soon! Wines are high quality and fairly priced, and produced in Sonoma County, California. Owners are onsite and happy to answer any wine related questions. The wines are made by the owner, who learned winemaking in France and Napa, and recently moved back to PA to open the business. The focus is on Rhone varietals, Syrah, GSM, and Viognier as well as Chardonnay. Locally sourced cheeses from Doe Run and Birchrun Hills, breads from La Baguette Magique, and various charcuterie, further elevates the experience. Overall, definitely worth visiting.

Just what we were looking for! Awesome atmosphere, great wines, laid back set up. Obvious that there is a real passion behind the business. Highly recommend.

This wine is delicious! And the cheeses. OMG the different cheeses were so good too! We had a great time sampling the wine, meats and cheeses the other day. What a nice treat this place is! Looking forward to many more visits.

I have gotten different red wines for takeout and the atmosphere is calm and beautiful, the staff is helpful and attentive, and the wine is delicious. I'm so happy there is a local place I can buy wine now. Highly recommend checking out!

Fantastic wine, delicious food and excellent hospitality! And can we talk about the interior!? What a great spot! We have been wanting to stop in for a while now and finally did. We will be back, and bringing friends!

My husband and I went to R5 Wines recently and I was moved by the couples' story. After a year abroad in France and over a decade in California, they finally were able to realize their dream of opening a tasting room in their hometown. The tasting room offers a vibrant array of wines not commonly found in the region. It also brings a welcome modern atmosphere to the area. I definitely plan to return for a date night or night out with friends in the near future!

Phenomenal wines and the owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere and location with plenty of parking. My new favorite place.

Great wines and friendly staff. The Roussanne and Dry Creek GSM is EXCELLENT! Not the typical PA winery experience (since the wines are from California)
