This property is very unconventional, in a good way. It's an old train station (as the name suggests), so it looks really majestic and sophisticated, with marble walls and columns, huge domed ceilings, and a restaurant right in the courtyard.

We didn't have a chance to look around town, so the location stars were just for being able to find it easily and get a room ad-hoc at midnight. Also, it was quiet outside at night and in the morning.

Well, except the inside of the room wasn't. When the AC, which is literally 1.5ft from your body, turns on, it may wake you up. There's a video showing the difference between it being ON and OFF.

Otherwise, my critical elements of a great hotel and room were all here: almost instant hot water (pull and turn left) and a very satisfying water pressure all around.

This looked like a $300/night hotel, but it ended up being $150, which is in part because of Monday night rate. Food tends to be more expensive, but I can't speak to it's quality because we didn't eat here.

Overall, we'd definitely come back.

The absolute worst 0lace to stay, unless you like horrible customer service and rude people, not least deceptive practices

Anthony the concierge is the best! He is most knowledgeable about the history of The Radisson Lackawanna Station. The fully restored Lackawanna Station dates from 1909. The prices are quite reasonable to stay at this most opulent Hotel.

Although I found out about this from THE OFFICE, it's better than "as seen on TV! "

Very narrow room. Knocking knees to get by end of the bed.
Neat old train station setting

The architecture on this building is original and beautiful. The hotel is staffed with caring, professional people. Breakfast in the restaurant and appetizers from the bar is great
Rich our bartender was so attentive and efficient

We enjoyed our stay at the site of the Scranton Rail Road Station, since converted to the Radisson. A lot of character and charm was retained. Very friendly check-in and good food and service for both dinner and breakfast.

Everything about this place is great. Landmark hotel and a huge piece of history in Scranton. Brunch is good in a nice setting at the lobby. Courteous staff and service is great. Well done

Mostly a positive stay. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Vicky was great in getting me set up and adding additional nights for my stay. Anthony was very positive. The rooms are quiet and have a good view.

There were a few things that made my stay not as enjoyable, however. A few towels and pillows smelled stale or used. There were plenty of spares, so I used those instead. But it is still odd that the towels and pillows did not feel or smell fresh. The WiFi was very temperamental and often slow. Lastly, the person I spoke to on the phone before making my reservation said that breakfast was included in my stay, but I discovered it was not included when I arrived at the hotel.

We stayed only one night, but we enjoyed the hotel very much. The room was big and clean, the staff very kind. And what about the beauty of the old train station transformed into a hotel… I let the photos do the talking for me. Our short stay ended very nicely with a great breakfast at the Carmen's hotel restaurant. Not to miss!

I was the victim of fraud at this hotel and instead of trying to help me the manager implied that I was the criminal. First and last time staying at a Radisson.

Two week stint working around Scranton, and second time in 6 months. My only regret is not staying at this Radisson the first trip to town. Best bar, best resaurant, best character, and a great place to stay. A very welcome change from the hilton marriot cookie cutters.

We've stayed her twice and will definitely be back. It's our favorite place to stop when we drive from SW Florida to Maine. You feel like you're stepping back in time. The staff is amazing.

It’s the most beautiful hotel in Scranton. The history alone is amazing. Carmen’s. OMG! Sunday brunch! If you haven’t had it? You haven’t had Heaven, but it’s incredibly expensive. Just experiencing it once is a great experience

The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel is a beautiful, historical structure: a landmark in its own right. But the beauty of the building cannot offset the real concerns we experienced during our brief, less than one-night stay.
In our first room, 320 (double queens as requested), the toilet did not flush. When we called the Front Desk, we were told to come down, switch keys, and move to a similar room down the hall - Room 302. We learned at that time that another guest had made that same complaint about that same room that very morning. That begs the question as to why the hotel would rent that room out again knowing that the toilet wasn’t working.
After a couple of hours exploring the area and watching television with my husband, I filled up the tub in Room 320 for a bath. It was late, we were tired, and we needed to get a good night’s rest for the next leg of our road trip. When I went back into the bathroom to shut off the faucet, I nearly gagged. The tub was filled with brown, brackish smelling water. (See attached pictures.)
I woke up my husband, who agreed that this was not normal. We called down to the Front Desk for assistance, and that’s when things got even crazier. The guy at Reception was the only one on staff in the entire hotel after midnight. He could not leave the desk to assist. I asked him for a key to another room that had clean water, so I could check myself. He gave me a key to a room on the sixth floor. Upon entering the room, I realized that he made a mistake and switched us to a room with a small single bed. I went down again to switch keys, this time for Room 209. My husband and I moved our things and immediately tried filling the tub. Again brown, brackish water. (See photos.)
By then (2: 00 a.m.), we we so tired and anxious. We did not feel safe bathing in that water or drinking it. So we decided to pack out and move to another hotel.
It was single-handedly the worst hotel experience that we ever had. Hopefully, the brown water was just indicative of a rust problem and not something more sinister. I could not imagine what we would have done if we had been travelling with children and needed to bathe them. Very scary!
