Red Roof Inn Lancaster - Strasburg

This one is on my DO NOT STAY list.

Checked in for 1 night. The room was disgustingly dirty with a dirty towel still on the back of the bathroom door.no clean towels. We went to the front desk to ask for towels and there was a woman yelling about bed bugs. We spoke with the front desk person and they said "here are some bath mats, you can complain to management in the morning. " And handed us 3 bath mats.

The nest morning st 8am there's music blaring through the walls and people screaming in the hallways.

$100/night. Will definitely never stay again.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! I went to check in to the room and it was CRAWLING with roaches. I mean out in broad daylight completely visible, all over the door, the bathroom, the toilet bowl, the floor. Everywhere! I was offered another room but why would I ever want to stay at this same hotel? And now I am fighting for a refund. Absolutely disgusting. Stay somewhere, spend the little extra money. There are so many other great, clean, affordable hotels in the area.

At first this hotel looks ok.until you wake up in the middle of the night at 3: 00AM because you've been scratching all over and realize your bed is infested with BED BUGS and ROACHES EVERYWHERE!

What a nightmare! When reported the situation to the managing staff, there were no emergency to handle the situation because the decision maker was not available.

They finally offered to investigate the room despite the roaches and bed bugs. I had pictures and videos I had showed them. I was supposed to stay one more night but instead chose to move to a hotel nearby, turned out to be cleaner-up to date-bigger room- and cheaper rate.

Beware of BED BUGS and ROACHES! If you are looking for a scratch free night sleep.

I do a lot of traveling so I have stayed in a lot of different hotels this hotel the people at the front desk go out of their way to make you feel comfortable I like it when they come to the room they check to make sure that some person didn't leave the air conditioner on but it's 10 below they put the heat on and turn the TV

Checked in at midnight, TV didn't work and I had to plug all the cables back into it. 29 degrees outside and they had no blankets for the bed, just a top sheet. Hallways smelled of weed. Very noisy, Would not recommend. I thought I booked at the red roof inn across the road.

Hallway smelled bad, room was not clean, dirt on floor. Looked like water had run down the wall. Bed very uncomfortable. No extra toilet paper. Toilet top had been broken and glued together. No tissues in holder. Not one cup in room to use to rinse after brushing teeth. Small coffee pot and coffee but no cups. Air unit had been replaced at some point but the walls around it never fixed, window was disgusting. There was visible dirt on floor and it was not carpet a swiffer would have taken care of it. We had no choice but to stay the first night because it was too late to cancel, however we did not stay the second night and lost our money since they do not issue refunds if you are not happy. Trust me there is not one good thing I can say about this except I checked the bed and there were no bed bugs. Do yourself a favor and never stay here I would no even expect my dog to stay there. We arrived on a Friday and on Saturday they never came in to freshen up the room and to bring us clean towels. Will never stay at a RED Roof again because I am afraid to.

The room was filled with roaches, bed bugs and had visible dirt everywhere (see photos and video.) when Asking for a refund they declined. They were informed of check Out and proceeded to charge an additional $1 for the key card.

The hotel is digusting and clearly not being cleaned properly between stays. I called to follow-up on a refund and was hung up on me twice. Not to mention the owner kept referring to me as Ma’am after I clarified I was a man. Terrible customer service, very rude and they do not care about customer service.

Disgusting, dirty, and despicable.

Do not spend your money here, you will be sorry.

You are clearly scamming. I was in the room for 10 minutes. All you have to do is approve the refund. You need a pest control operator, housekeeping standards and an understanding of regulatory laws. Corporate has been called and other agencies will be involved as well. All over $60? Hope it was worth it.

Worst hotel! Absolutely disgusting! Rooms completely unclean, falling apart, locks broken or falling off doors, sheets didn't fit beds and the mat under the sheets was covered with stains. No lock on the doors that werent broken. TV didn't work. The outside of the hotel itself was unkept with trash in the grass and parking lot. The only thing it did have of any benefits was the WiFi. If you want to at least have clean sheets, then do NOT stay here.

If I could give zero Stars I would. The place was a COMPLETE and UTTER MESS. There was COCKROACHES literally CRAWLIMG all over the room CEILING and WALLS. Then when told about the room the manager put me in another room that was even WORSE. Do not go to this Motel. If you value your life and your money go somewhere else.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in! We came in to town w/o any reservation and this was all that was available, should have slept in the car!

I regret staying here. Noise outside room at all hours of the night, terrible sleep! Uncomfortable bed and found a cockroach in the morning

When we first arrived to check in there were 2 people at the front. The guy was on his phone and the lady who waited on us was eating. While we understand everyone should get a break to eat it would have been nice if she would have stop eating to check us in instead of bringing her food with her and talking to us with her mouth full of food and her hands greasy.
When we get around to park there are huge pot holes in the lot and a bunch of old mattresses and furniture behind the building.
As soon as you open the door there is a awful smell that took your breath away and the carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. We were there 3 days and when we were leaving we figured out what the smell was CATS. The hallway smelled like a litter box that hadn't been cleaned in months.
The room itself was ok and thankfully didn't smell like the hallway. The only thing we found wrong with the room was the floor could have used a good sweeping and mopping. The bottom of out socks were covered in dirt and the a/c could have used a good cleaning. If someone actually cared and took the time to do a good cleaning and fix the parking lot and get rid of all the old furniture the hotel would actually be a nice place to stay. I think with new management this place could really make money.

Unbeknownst to me there are two Red Roof Inns in Lancaster across the road from each other. You will get charged from both hotels if the address is incorrect when checking in. They will not reimburse you. They will not accept your phone call. Please be careful.

THE RED ROACH INN is what this property should be called! PURE INFESTATION! Roaches in your sink the tub horrible! Imagine waking up in the morning and jumping out your bed as if you seen a ghost because there’s roaches in you're bed that decided they wanted a cuddle buddy. NO THANK YOU!

The pool was not open. It looks like the pool has not been open all summer. Overgrown bushes surrounding the pool. Outside walls need power wash. I was given the disability/handicap room. Mistake. No end tables by the bed with no lamps. No head board. No chair for the table. I asked for a chair. The shower was a mess and water got everywhere. The TV is not leveled. The hotel staff/family hangs out in the lobby. Hotel staff/house keepers do not have uniforms so you don't know who are guests or staff. Carpets need to be deep cleaned or replaced. Hotel Management does not put money into the hotel to make it look nice or clean. There is a huge pile of hotel mattresses and furniture hidden behind hotel by parking lot. The parking lot has a ton of pot holes and uneven.

This is the worst hotel we have ever been in! We booked for 3 nights but left after 1. This is the reason. We were planning on visiting the area from Ontario, Canada and when we arrived the room was not ready. We said that we did not mind waiting and shortly afterwards the room was”ready”. First of all everywhere smelled of mustiness - lack of ventilation. The room also smelled strongly of bleach, there was no quilt on the bed, just a sheet and cover, wall mounted heater was unusable due to all the dirt stuck in the ventilation slats, no stopper/plug in the hand basin, what appeared to be mold on the ceiling and the floor was dirty, the bath mat was filth having been used to clean something. After complaining at the reception we were to the could do nothing about the sink and that the room had been cleaned! A boy turned up with a clean bath mat and someone else threw the quilt onto the bed for us to make. No problem making it - just the general couldn’t care less attitude. We will never ever stay at a Red Roof again and think twice about staying at this one!

This was a nightmare first off the man at front desk tried to double charge the laughingly said oh i got confused as we showed him the paper work in the car. If he hadn't printed out the third party information i am sure it would have been an over charge! The whole motle is dirty, pool wash covered for a very long time it was obvious. The room was in need of a paint job, no mattress cover just a thin sheet over anyone else's bodily fluids (not cool).
I read later that they had bed bugs.
Cops had to patrol
We paid for two night but only stayed one night.
Folks DO NOT STAY AT RED ROOF YOU WILL BE SORRY

Alot of broken things in the rooms. And a deposit is needed when paying in cash so be careful they don't charge for preexisting damages

It smelt like smoking in are room it was not clean at all. Outside there was sigrits allover the grand and box's to. It is a ripoff
